It took a little while to be seated, but the gazebo area we were sat in was cute and after figuring out how to use the app we managed to order our food and drinks. The trip was supposed to be a nice breakfast/brunch, with time left in the morning before having to work in the afternoon, but as time ticked on without even receiving our drinks we were wondering if we had just been forgotten about. Other customers appeared to be having a similar delay in their food but none of the staff had told us why it was taking so long. Eventually our two drinks came out after half an hour of waiting (usually the standard time for a simple meal on a normal day?), and these were not complicated drinks, just sparkling soft drinks from a bottle. We were told the food would be soon, so we thought the food might follow not long after. We were wrong. Other customers were served food and drinks before us even though they arrived and ordered after we did, so we called over the staff to ask when to expect our food. The answer was it was coming out next, which didn't give a timescale and there was no explanation given as to why it was so late, but the waitress was friendly and apologised. I was extremely unimpressed with others being served before us when we had ordered before them, this is not good practice. When the food arrived (a cooked breakfast and avocado on toast) we quickly realised the vegan meal that was the avocado and grilled vegetables was actually the non-vegan meal and had meat on. We called over one of the kitchen staff who was nearby and asked if this was meat, and he said it was meat and took it back into the kitchen for the chef to prepare another. I know mistakes can happen, but this was very disappointing after such a long wait for food, it had been an hour and a half by the time we were eating and there were only three other tables seated in the gazebo at this time of the morning, not exactly heaving. We were brought another plate and we were apologised to, but again no explanation as to why we waited an hour and a half for a breakfast, no offer of a refund, and when we were asked if we wanted more drinks it wasn't clear if they would be on the house or if we would be waiting another 20 minutes for them so we said no. The food itself was good. But in all honesty nobody goes to a restaurant for such a limited experience.

Had breakfast here a few weeks back and all was of a reasonable standard for a £10 fully cooked brekkie. Good standard of sausage/bacon as expected for the £10 price. The beans in a pot were cold as was the plate (should always serve on a warm plate, especially when sat outside) the beans were replaced on request, which was good. Still I think room for improvement considering the price! Move on 3 weeks and the standard has gone right down!! However the price remains at £10???? This time the Sausage was very poor (probably from a bag of frozen sausages) no taste, no real meat and cold, bacon had been obviously precooked en mass and not been cooked enough (rubbery fat), one poached egg was rock hard, the other did have some run! No butter provided for the barely toasted bread, the best thing on the plate were the tomatoes (probably costing no more 30 pence to put on a plate) and we were minus the beans/mushrooms now only available at extra cost. So this most certainly is not a £10 breakfast probably not even a £5-6 breakfast. If your charging £10 get the produce right, cook it well, no complaints. Charge £10 and get wrong...your left a bad review...oh warm plates they cost nothing to prepare. Service however was great, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, although we did ask for water, got the glasses but no water and we were charged service as it was put automatically on our bill, doing these can lead to poor service.

Went to Cardiff Distillery today for a late lunch for my friends birthday 6 of us sat outside in a pod - the pod was pod tastic! The service & food faultless - we all had Pizza which were absolutely delicious freshly made & chips that were delicious also - we look forward to our next visit & hopefully we can all sit inside - 5* restaurant anyone that books to go will not be disappointed

I booked a room and a family meal here on 1/9/20 Payment was not working when I booked so I agreed to pay for the room on the day. There were a few problems with the room - blind in bedroom not working, rubbish left from previous guests, bathroom sink not emptying, coffee machine but no coffee pods for it, splashed of coffee up the walls in the bedroom, no hot water!!!! We had a good meal in the evening with family (7 adults and 2 children’s meals) and bar/restaurant staff were friendly and pleasant. Food was put onto our room bill as requested and even though Staff were happy to accept a tip in cash, I was told I could only pay by card in the morning!!! Being unaware of this beforehand I had withdrawn cash to pay the bill and after a conversation with the manager about the room etc he eventually agreed to this. After checking our bank account it turned out that we had been charged for the room on the card we left as security (even though I specifically asked for no payment to be taken by card) and overcharged by around £100 for food and drinks. After many telephone and email conversations we were promised a refund. WE ARE STILL WAITING ONE MONTH AFTER OUR VISIT- very poor!!!!!!

Me and my partner had breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We were in one of the new Pods and found it very tranquil and pretty with the food lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend heading here for a lovely meal and somewhere unique and will be going back ourselves in the near future.

Went here for the first time on Saturday, nice outdoor area with a gazebo over our table so we didn't get soaked when it rained! Massive selection of really nice cocktails and the pizzas were AMAZING! Some of the best pizzas I've had in a long time, and better than a lot of pizzas I've had in Italian restaurants, we were really pleasantly surprised :) We will definitely be back soon!
