Ground Bakery - Pontcanna in Cardiff

Just love this pub, full of quirky corners, interesting decor. Really friendly staff, always warm and welcoming. Often go for pre drinks.Will definitely try food menu next time here.

NB: This restaurant is now called Dubai Nights. I do not know whether it is the same ownership/management/staff as Sultan, the previous business's name, but at least the business now has a very good council hygiene rating.

Everything feshly made to order, very busy at lunchtime with a queue but this speaks for itself. They load the sandwiches and baquettes as much as possible, so good portions

This is what "fresh to order" looks like. If you can't cook chips, or send them in an edible fashion, perhaps a chip shop isn't for you? These chips were as dry as a rotting floorboard. The owner will no doubt play the denial game and wash off any responsibility, but the truth of the matter is that elephants have great memories - and so do your customers.

Wedding venue recommendation!! Well where can I begin!! What a fantastic day we had, from the very beginning of booking with the village hotel the communication was spot on. No question was too silly to ask and I felt that my wishes were being listened to wholeheartedly. Sue and Kieran were fabulous and genuinely cared about making sure we were happy throughout the day engaging with our guests not just ourselves. The food was to die for and pipping hot, great portions and food service went without a hitch! The evening turn around was seamless also and the room looked fantastic again! We've had so many positive comments of our day with not one fault being found, people will remember our wedding with fond memories and the village hotel played a big part in that! Thank you so much from the bottom of our heart for making our wedding day so special! I would not hesitate recommending you to book your special day here also !
