Looking for somewhere for morning coffee and thought we would try Caffi Maes. Prime location on the square in Caernarfon. Sat outside on a grey morning in October. My sister who is a coffee connoisseur declared it the best coffee she had ever had!! Nice place to sit and people watch.

Popped in on a cold December Saturday to a very warm welcome. Had the lobster fries - stunning. Really good food in a fabulous location having crossed a road that almost runs on the beach. Sometimes closed at very high tide - adds to the charm of this originally historic pub. Do forget to take home a bottle of their unique kelpchup- made from seaweed.

Not a good meal at all, the steak was bland and tasteless, basic food, very poor quality, no salad or garnish, really disappointing. The older lady that served us was miserable, we did not feel at all welcome there, it seems like she felt we were beneath the establishment. Such a shame as it's a lovely looking place in a beautiful location. I've been there quite a few times over the years though I will not be returning. If you want to get looked down upon this is definitely the place to be.

We had family room which was massive, beds like sleeping on a cloud. Bathroom massive, beautiful and clean, breakfast was delicious best porridge we have ever eaten made by Susan, host was exquisite had amazing people skills very informative has this was the very first Lloyds bank originally, definitely shows he’s done this before, great live band on the Saturday followed by excellent food, Sunday dinner was a delight no room for pudding as very big portions . Also very dog friendly they even cater for them for breakfast and dog snacks at the bar nothing was too much Trouble.Goes above and beyond we will be back !!!

Three of us went a few weeks ago after a Sunday lunch recommendation by a friend. Not sure if there was a different chef on the Sunday we visited, but we were very disappointed. We waited a long time for our food and when it came, we were surprised at the two very small pieces of lamb (even though you have to pay extra for lamb) we were given and what must have been a teaspoon of mashed potato on our plate. Thank goodness we paid £1.50 for a Yorkshire pudding which made it look more on the plate. My husband’s beef (the small amount he had) was tasteless. We don’t think the mint sauce had been made with vinegar. It just tasted of water. Very expensive for what we had and we came away still hungry. Real shame as the staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the music was also really loud which made it difficult to have a conversation.

The most obvious tea room on the promenade at Criccieth, painted in a vivid blue, this location will be familiar with many. We called in on a windy by warm bank holiday Sunday for drinks and cake. There was a decent selection of clearly home made food, and tbh I can understand why everything is served takeaway style. Whilst the cups are cardboard, the service is still friendly and the view is great. We really enjoyed our cakes whilst watching the surfer and paddle boarders in the bay from upstairs.

Just popped in for coffee and cake which was fine, nothing special but I wasn't expecting it to be. I hadn't read the reviews before visiting, but I agree the blond supervisor seemed a bit brusque, but not as brusque as I would be doing that job. I'll be quite happy to visit again.

No me importa volver.
