Food very disappointing. Service very good. Very disappointed that we had to sit in the Pub area which was very noisy when we first arrived

We attended a Ghost and Seance Experience, with supper included. It was a very interesting, well run event, and the staff were very friendly

The food was excellent, the people were friendly and the service was 100%

We had a lovely afternoon tea. Service and food were both first class.

Unfortunately if we're rating solely on the food, it can't be any more than a 1. The driest food I have ever eaten out. 3 of us at the table were unable to eat our food. Chicken burger was close to turning to dust if it was cooked any longer, also the menu said breaded but it came as a oven cooked dry ch chicken breast with no breading, no bacon like stated, so was basically a different dish to the one ordered. The staff were nice enough however.

Went for Sunday lunch today and I like to leave an honest review ...the staff are really friendly and welcoming..the service was excellent but the food was such a disappointment we expected better if I'm honest ...it was overpriced and overcooked _£15 for a Sunday lunch is ok if it's worth it the roast potatoes were overcooked or overheated more like ..the Yorkshire pudding were black ..the beef was way too tough and bland ...gravy was bisto gravy and way too watery the veg was ok but came in a very small dish half the size of a gravy boat for 2 people ..I had 1 small skinned potato but a lot of roasties that i paid extra for ...it's a shame cos its a lovely homely place and the staff are exceptionally good but they need a new cook ..so unexpected and disappointed 😔..

1st class Sunday Roasts! Efficient, friendly and professional staff. Food is excellent, well presented and hot (not luck warm like other establishments). A warm, clean and tidy little Inn. Well worth a visit and would highly recommend to others 😊.

Came in with my daughter and granddaughter Thur lunch time Lovely meals .My granddaughter loved her chicken nuggets our meals were amazing and large well worth the money. Definitely coming back thank you .

Well this was a nice time for me and my husband to have unwind time and have a xmas meal and it did not disappoint it was beautiful and plenty of it. The gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and made us feel welcomed then the young lady serving our meals was also very polite and so helpful . I mentioned to them both to let the chef know how beautiful our meals and Deserts were . I would definitely 100% recommend this place and the food is proper home cooked and so tasty the service was great and they were busy but never neglected anyone . If I was you I would book now to make sure you have a place in there honestly we loved it and its clean and cosy there & we totally enjoyed . Staff very polite, friendly and helpful, no faults when it comes to hospitality. Food was not the best, lasagne ok, salad mediocre, fries poor. Circa £15 per head for main course. Ambience poor, 80s throwback type experience, also needs a decent sound system.

Treated to a meal at the Bridgend. First time we've eaten here. Great food, generous portions, will be going back.

Could not fault the food. The problem was presentation. We went for Sunday lunch the plate came out with two boiled potatoes Yorkshire pudding meat and small amount of gravy all dumped together. My partner did actually have a small roast potato as well. We had to ask for the veg which had not arrived five minutes after the plate as above. However the food was cooked well and tasty ashame about the presentation and service

It was an amazing place to have good food served quickly and tasted fresh, was very happy with the customer service and lovely family atmosphere, great place for celebrating occasions with friends and family. Would need to book as this place is usually very busy.

We had food delivered, three different curries, all cold, sent back. Came back, still cold, korma smothered in mint sauce. Overall food disgusting.

Beautiful home cooked food and plenty of it! I had steak and ale pie, full of meat and really flavoursome. Would definitely recommend a visit. Staff and friendly and professional. Meal served promptly.

My wife and i just had the steak and ale pie, it was absolutely outstanding, the nicest steak and ale pie we've ever had, very tasty and a very generous portion size. We will be back.

Food was not good roast potatoes cold Yorkshire's hadn't risen greasy in the middle peas were rock hard gravy was not thickened all in all very disappointing and would not visit again the takeaway was even worse

If you love your food this is the place to go...food with pride on its plate. Not short of manners in a busy invitomont. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

The food was amazing all quality home made food the skills of the chefs were clear, steaks cooked perfectly, mash seasoned and garnished corectly. They also cater for kids perfectly offering 2 different menus for small kids and larger kids. Truly a delight.

Again music too loud cannot listen in conversation. No crackling or apple sauce with pork. Disappointing. Again plate filled with Yorkshire pudding which is for Beef only Not enough vegetables

Came for a improtu meal with my dad, the staff were extremely welcoming with a great choice of drinks, the menu has something for everyone, I chose the lamb steak as suggested and it was cooked perfectly, it came with sauteed potatoes which were delicious, peas and veg (unfortunately the broccoli was over cooked) my father opted for the faggots and he thoroughly enjoyed them. All in all a nice pub for dining and clearly the owners and staff are making a real effort to sustain the local pub trade.

Starter and dessert was lovely but beef was tough

They obviously believe in quantity rather than quality chips tasted as iff they had been cooked yesterday the eggs were hard and the gammon was like leather my wife's hunters chicken was just as bad will not be going there again

Fantastic little pub.. a country atmosphere on the outskirts of the town. A warm welcome, friendly staff and amazing food with huge portions, they were very good with our little boy and we will definitely be back.

We had bread oil and olives for starters all good except the bowl containing oil and balsamic drizzle was too deep and small to get to the balsamic vinegar. Shallower wider dish would be better. Mains were extremely good. Dessert wasn't great a slice of fresh lemon and lime doesn't really make a lemon and lime cheesecake? But nobody can fault the mains, very tasty and cooked to perfection.😊

Very nice pub. Food was very nice. Good quality pub food. Portions are very generous therefore fairly priced. We ordered nachos for two as a starter which were more like nachos for four as the portion was very big for a starter. However very nice and tasty. Welsh sirloin was very good quality and cooked as requested. Delicious. The portion with chips was very generous as well. We also ordered the today's special which was minted lamb. The lamb was to die for and came with roasted potatoes, salad and boiled veg. Desserts was very rich as we ordered vanilla and strawberry cheesecake which was delicious and again at very generous size. Overall very nice place for a pub food at very good quality and reasonably priced. You will definitely not go home hungry;) additionaly the staff are very friendly and attentive. Very pleasant atmosphere. We will surely be coming back.

Main meal delicious once sat down. Had to move from other tables extremely noisy and loud. Sat upstairs quieter, but music blaring in ear. Couldn't answer phone as to noisy Decor outdated artex walls very 80s Tablecloths needed badly on old tables Service however friendly

Have to say it was nice. Nice enough, nothing special. Big prices for trad pub grub, but still tasty. Wouldn't give it it 5*. I found it wierd that you had to go to the bar for drinks but you could put them on the bill anyway. Just nice.

Booked Sunday lunch for 12.30, only two people eating at the time. Not many customers while we were there but by the time we left more customers arrived. Good friendly service, small portions and limited vegetables. Paid extra for cauliflower cheese which was lovely. Ambience would have been better if there was more customers. Smaller meals are provided for senior citizens, some of whom were booked in while we were there, a positive initiative.

We were at restaurant today for Sunday lunch. It was absolutely delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection and Yorkies to die for😍. To top it off the amazing dessert of Lime and coconut cheesecake 😋. If you get the chance pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed

Very cold inside air conditioning making it uncomfortable for me and food went cold before we were half way through.the beer was good. Maybe we should have eaten outside but despite it being a sunny day there was a chill breeze blowing.

Great place !! Took service users there this afternoon all had different things and they where all really tasty and good value for money was surprised how cheap considering the quality is so good!! Lovely lunch, perfect place for a catch up with friends. We were even able to enjoy a drink outside after our meal. The staff were all lovely and the food was great and value for money.

Lovely Sunday lunch, beef was tender as you like with plenty of veg, very filling, my family also ate various other meals on the menu and were also very satisfied with what they had. The host and staff were very accommodating, nice friendly atmosphere in the pub and overall a nice afternoon out.

Food was good had to wait a long time to be served, had to go down to the bar to get our drinks as no one came to ask for our drinks order. Food took a long time to arrive.

Very friendly pub, friendly staff. A good variety of foods Inc gluten free. The meals were huge and very nice. I had veggie cottage pie. Must say it was a lovely meal and would definitely go again. Worth a visit.

Very poor choice for gluten free There were only two gluten free mains a veg curry or veg cottage pie, I ordered the cottage pie it was bland and served with a side of veg which were boring too No gravy and it is easy to buy gluten free gravy even in the supermarket The food had little flavour the worst meal I’ve ever had here Bring back the previous owners when the food was fantastic My husband did enjoy his steak but as I’m now gluten free unless they improve their menu we won’t be returning

Lunch with my Mam...both chose flatbread with curry.,I chose jalfrezi,mam had korma...rice and chips layered between bread and curry.... absolutely spot on...BUT there were salad leaves on the flatbread...I don't like salad in anyway shape or form..so I pulled them out and carried on enjoying the lovely food.... didn't have room for pudding....enough said...staff are lovely

Visited for a family birthday, very disappointing. A variety of menu dishes weren't available and 'not had for ages' yet still on the menu! Food came out cold, gammon overcooked and not good quality. There were a group of lads, not all eating, and very noisy, language disgusting especially when children there. Seemed to be overbooked! Won't return!

Visited for impromptu tea. Food was very tasty and good portions. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was there were a few things not available on the menu.

Most of the meals were very good but my daughter and grandson had gammon ham which was undercooked and cold this is the first time that were unhappy with the meal as they are normally very good

A decent local pub meal, food & drink reasonably priced, freshly cooked, tasted great. Lots of choices on the menus. We arrived early afternoon so still had the lunch menu to choose from as well. We were spoilt for choice and found it hard to decide what to order. The table was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, a good place to stop for a bite to eat

Excellent service and Quality of food

Omg we had the most delicious meals this afternoon at the Bridgend Inn Brynmawr My husband had the roast dinner he said it was delicious & I had the lamb chops also delicious. Topped it off with amazing desserts Vanilla pannacotta & chocolate topped pannacotta. Well done to the chef, owners and all the staff there. The atmosphere is so pleasant and everyone friendly. We will be visiting again soon. Highly recommended 5 star

Had roast beef bagyette with chips and gravy for dipping. Beef fell apart it was so tender. Staff very very friendly, will definitely be going back
