Amazing service and freshly made piping hot food. Service was amazing too. Friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend. Sunday roast was spot on!!

Booked for Sunday lunch with the family. Adults shared the platter (beautiful). Children had a child's roast. Lovely restaurant, lovely vibe and Elle and Kev were absolutely lovely people. Will be returning!

We ordered the share box which was £20.....there are two adults and a very hungry 11yr old so also added the garlic loaf. The delivery arrived in the time scale they promised.... And my goodness it didn't disappoint!! The food was absolutely delicious and the amount of food was incredible! Fed three of us with loads left over easily!!!! Definitely worth the £20 we paid.

Attended for my sister’s baby shower. Lovely establishment, so nicely decorated. Staff were great and so friendly! Food was very nice also, would love to try one of their Sunday dinners!

Being a chef myself instead of cooking I ordered 2 Sunday roasts today to pick up. On arrival the venue looks amazing quirky and a really good feel to the place. As I was collecting our roasts I had a quick chat to the owner very nice and pleasant to chat to. The roasts didn't disappoint they were so nice and plenty of it homemade Yorkshire puddings was a bonus. Highly recommended and we Will definitely order again and also book a table to eat inside. Had a family party here great service from Elle and barmaid nothing too much trouble. Catered for music choice fab atmosphere. Buffet lovely and fresh and great they had Kevs cabs to taxi everyone around. Thanks to you all

Went here for drinks only, as this is a cocktail bar. Out of approx 15 items on the menu they could only do a few drinks as they didn't have the ingredients, The looking glass facebook page stated there was only two tables remaining for that night and that they allowed walk -ins. They posted about a cocktail of a bath tub a few hours prior to our visit. When asked for this, we was told it was a promotion for the following week, but the post stated they opened at 7pm and didn't mention any other details about not being available on that night. Further conversations, materialised that they didn't have the bath tubs at that premises and also didn't have the ingredients again. The background music was just streamed off a phone, I couldn't say anything about the young woman, behind the bar, as she was very apologetic for the lack of items available to due the lack of stock. We had a espresso martini, that didn't have any espresso but chocolate baileys in it with hazelnut sauce. It tasted nice but disappointing to have something that isn't what it is ment to be. I can not say for definite, but it seemed that the cocktails didn't have any or much alcohol content compared to other venues locally and outside Tredegar. The venue was a lovely layout, very roomy, clean, and interior themed as the name says.

Just had my Sunday roast here can't recommend it highly enough. Lovely staff appeared to be a family run business. I highly recommend the roast beef, plenty of veg properly cooked not just waived over the cooker & hard like bullets as in some places. Not to mention it came with plenty of extra gravy & horseradish sauce all for £11 & no cooking or washing up for me talk about value for money, perfect.

Very dissatisfied ordered blue burger supposed to have mushrooms and onion rings with it didn't have. Triple burt dark brown chips no value for money pub could do with a good cleaning especially back room if I saw that room first wouldn't have stayed place had an unpleasant smell about it went there 3 months earlier what a change in a place gone down hill fast over priced won't be returning

I was visiting Tredegar and recommended to visit this restaurant. I’m so glad I did as the food was absolutely delicious, so much so I rebooked for the Sunday lunch also. Tasty food, large portions and very friendly staff. Proper gravy like what your nan would make. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you

Absaloute horrible owner. We ordered 2 picnic boxes 📦 we ended up with burgers thats my dog wouldn't eat. Freezing cold and like a burnt brick. When I rang the owner to explain we got verbally attacked and was told to go to mcdonalds. 2bh mcdonalds happy meal would of satisfied me more. Its not the first time the owner Ellie has been horrible, evil she is quite famous over Facebook for verbally attacking customers . Avoid this place and the belle Vue at all costs. I would of been happy with a apology and a refund but instead I got a pile of abuse. Dunno who the owner think she is, and dunno how she gets away with here vile mouth and vile food, she obviously good at being a con artist. Iv worked in hospitality for years and never experienced such poor customer service. Oh yea and cocktails was half drank on arrival. Please people of tredegar avoid this place and all cost 🙏 they aint worth the hassle and abuse. Also very good a taking pictures of food but the food never looks like that. Hopefully I won't get abused now for leaving a honest review. Seriously go to mcdonalds it's less hassle.

Overall we enjoyed the time there , food was ok. Nothing special , wouldn’t rush back. Pre Ordered a week in advance. half of us had finished our meals before the other half came, which was slightly odd as it was not busy. On the plus side the girls serving were lovely.

We arrived at "The Looking Glass" Tredegar to find the Restaurant all shut. Not being from the area we eventually found out that there was another - The Belle Vue Inn - The Looking Glass. As we were now 22 minutes past our allocated slot we phoned to tell them that we'd gone to the wrong one but we were on our way. We were spoken to by quite an "off" member of staff who told us that they would check if we could still come as we were late. Chef said "yes" but also that we'd create a "back-log" of orders by turning up so food would be slower. No problem we thought, we were excited to visit! On arrival we did our Track and Trace (information on a notepad with all other patrons names and numbers - not allowed under GDPR) and sat down. The servers were LOVELY, great job, professional and friendly. The dining room didn't have much of a theme but drinks came quickly and starters too. We then proceeded to wait two hours for our mains before calling it a day as we had to get back home. Such a shame, when we asked about our food we were told that because we arrived late food was going to be late. The way we felt was that we were being punished for being late, but not from the area and not told whilst booking to be careful to come to the right Looking Glass. There was another couple looking for the place when we went in to town, only for us to see them at the other one when we arrived. I understand we were late but don't understand why that pushed our food back, our orders were given before hand and I don't see why any Chef cannot cope with guests not being there at a certain time. I dread to think what will happen outside of Covid when capacity is higher, people can come and go at any time and order anything they want without bracing the kitchen a few days before. Won't go again and from our experience wouldn't recommend!

Beautiful starters BUT mains came with very greasy chips and onions rings. Waited 15mins for dessert, got asked to move tables whilst eating dessert. Long time waiting for the bill and to top it off, got charged twice. Definitely would not recommend.

I meant to write this at the time but forgot. I've just ordered our takeaway for tomorrow so thought I'd get this review on here from valentine's weekend! I took my children for a drive up valentine's dessert date and it was absolutely out of this world! We pulled up in the car, ordered our desserts and waited while they were made fresh. The portions were absolutely huge and all the desserts were amazing. The amount of choice was fab. Altogether we had cookie dough, brownie and belgian waffle with a range of toppings; bueno, crunchy, biscoff, all sorts! Was so nice. My only disappointment was that I didn't order the cookie dough for myself but luckily one of the kids couldn't finish all of theirs :D Can't wait to hopefully soon come to this place for a sit down meal!

Due to Covid Restrictions we were unable to book a mothers day meal, So we ordered a meal from The Belle Vue Through The Looking Glass to be delivered and what a lovely meal, the beef was so tender, home made Yorkshire puds, home made gravy and a mountain of veg followed by apple crumble and custard which was delicious. We will be ordering again and we cannot wait until the end of the lock down so we can go to for a meal.

We had to throw ours in the bin. The gravy was even tough. It was watery and awful...we had to go to Frenchies straight after and buy a proper dinner. After two bites we could bot eat anymore. Must prefer frenchies, where is service is friendly, and you can even pay by card...not cash only, surprise, surprise.

Overall a nice take away Sunday lunch & great value for money. Only recommendation is to include peas because my family aren’t fussed on broccoli. Gravy was nice consistency & not watery or greasy. Real parsnips too so a big thumbs up 👍🏼 The man working here is very friendly & helpful Children ate most of their dinners so all round nice We had 4 lunches & change out of £40 so really satisfied with the Belle. Had dinners from Top house last week & never again! Gravy was thin & greasy & beef so tough. Will definitely be going back to the belle though
