Very nice place food was really nice hot and fresh and affordable price family friendly as took family members new baby there. Will be comming here again the staff are very helpful

One if my favourite places to dine. Food is very tasty and comes to table hot which is must for me. I asked for med/well steak, it was cooked perfect. The staff are friendly and very helpful especially one male who I seen a few times, don't know his name but he makes our visit a memorial one, he always seem busy and making sure everyone is happy. Can't wait to visit again!

Came for a meal as a family of 4, to our surprise as we arrived & seated we saw a poster on the table that stated feed a family of 4 for £20! Cannot fault the food for the price we paid at all

Came in as a table of 7 on Sunday, we were seated promptly, service on the bar was fast & we didn't even have to wait that long for the Carvery even though they were quite busy. All the staff were absolutely amazing with the three toddlers we had on our table. Couldn't recommend them enough!! Thank you so much, we will be back again!!

Not so good on this visit, ribs were tough, over cooked, onion rings were rock hard, was unable to eat them, Desert and diet coke was acceptable.

A Sunday family gathering of 10 for Easter Sunday. Parking was easy. Seated and served very quickly. Food was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great value for money. Defo be back.

Ordered fish x2 all we had was hard batter. Ordered hot dog and chips with no mustard. Hot dog came covered in mustard. When the sausage was taken out of the roll it was black charcoal. Very disappointed.

Had a great evening at brewers fayre in Abergavenny, Sophie, Lilly and all the team last night were fab, nothing is too much work for any of them, all the meals were great but I had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, it was cooked to perfection, so fresh and very tasty. Thank you very much.

Went with my parents,atmosphere nice and peaceful, sadly it’s not dog friendly where other pubs around are. food was very disappointing. Ordered a smothered chicken meal for £13.75 and my father ordered the smothered chicken and curry from the 2 mains for £11.45. Despite me paying more than he did for my meal he had same size portion only difference was I had a half a tomato and a bit of salad that’s it. Not worth the extra money to have a single meal. I was still hungry afterwards. Normally staff come up to you while you eat to check if everything is ok, but the only person to come up to us was to take our plates away. The restaurant was half empty so the staff were not rushed off their feet. The restaurant has disabled access and disabled toilets.

Food was not very good value and overcooked , table had not been cleaned properly . Very disappointed

As Lead for Abergavenny Combined Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club I would like to say a special thank you to Marcus and his team for hosting our group for breakfast once a month for the last 5 and a half years. Our numbers grow at each meeting and you always do such an amazing job making us feel welcome and feeding us. As a result we have made the General Manager Marcus, an affiliated member of our group. Together we served. There is no stronger bond. 🫡

There's a lovely welcoming atmosphere with plenty of tables. We have been here on numerous occasions, and it never fails to impress. The food was great, and the staff were excellent, especially Marcus, he's a real gent, and nothing is too much trouble. I would say that he's a real credit to the company, and I hope they realise how much of an ambassador he is.

As a guest at the Premier Inn, I wanted breakfast. The times on the information provided state that; breakfast is available on Sunday is until 11am...my husband & I arrived at 10.45 to be told that service ceased at 10.40!! When I pointed out to the staff (a grumpy man) that this isn't as advertised, he reiterated service stops at 10.40 and no food was available..not helpful. I suggested that the information be edited to show you needed to be in the restaurant before 10.40!

I came in for dinner with my family after a short dog walk up the canal. We were served by a lovely lad, Nathan if I can remember properly, who made sure our needs were met. I had the Smothered chicken which was lovely, we had a lovely time and will definitely come again.

Always consistently good food and fab service. Great value for money too. Today they went the extra mile to make our son’s Birthday extra special! Our son is a leap day Birthday, so he was on the calendar for the first time in 4 years! He chose to have breakfast here, where they bought him out a free brownie with a “3 candle” which our boy thought was fabulous! (He’s 12, but he’s only had 3 official Birthdays!) Thank you all!

Went for my son's birthday. Very good service, staff were very friendly and happy to discuss menu and drink options. Everything we ordered was available and we all enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal. The manager Nathan was a lovely chap and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return soon

First time eating breakfast here and we will be returning. We was warming welcomed by Sophie at the door who showed us to our table and explained how everything worked. After we helped ourselves to the selection of pastries, cereals and fruit Meg came over and took our order for the cooked breakfast which was perfect if you don’t like everything that usually comes on the full English as you can chose how much you want of everything. Fair to say we will be returning soon exceptional breakfast and our little one even ate for free! Thank you Sophie and Meg for the brilliant service

Popped in last night for some food, service was excellent, food was really nice and very hot, friendly staff couldn’t do enough for us.

Stopped here for lunch with friends as it was central for all of us, had the value menu and was perfect! What a bargain! Staff was lovely aswell.

I ordered the chicken for starters and the burger stack meal with garlic bread The coleslaw was bland with no flavour following the chips and the burger was slightly undercooked with minimal flavour and partially frozen lettuce and the alcohol was watered down would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal for the price I paid the food wasn’t the best

Went here for the first time with a group from work. Not a huge choice of meals for gluten free. If you like pub food, steak and burgers then this is the place for you! No table service, order at the bar. Clean toilets, pleasant staff, nice atmosphere.

The food was as you would expect from a chain pub, but the level of service was appalling. We had interactions with a lady behind the bar who took our order, and a lady who we presume to be the manager, and both were extremely rude and refused to provide a refund upon ordering meals which should have fallen into a deal price. Manners don't cost anything, and are crucial when working in hospitality.

Don't waste your time coming here. Waited ages to be seated then had to wait nearly an hour for food to come out, ordered the smothered platter and got charged for that only to end up getting hunters chicken which was basically I piece of burnt chicken and some chips. Overall felt really disappointed and annoyed that I paid double what I should have done.

We came on a whim as we are doing a Welsh Castle tour. The lady at the front of house, was an absolute legend! She told us it's always fully booked up but she would try and accommodate us. She managed to find us the most comfiest table we've ever dined at! I didn't catch her name but she was blonde with her hair in a messy bun. After visiting 6 castles around the vicinity and being extremely hungry, this was greatly needed and highly appreciated. The bar staff were lovely too. Thank you so much!

Thanks to the staff for accommodating us as we have based ourselves here whilst undertaking training in the Brecons with 100 staff over the last 7 weeks. Marcus and the Team have made us feel welcome and delivered great hospitality.

First Sunday carvery since before Christmas for us and what a treat. Food was hot, meat was tender and there was a fantastic selection of vegetables. Once again, well done to Marcus and his team of friendly and helpful staff.

We were a group of 6 who pre-ordered our food. We received a great welcome, our order was double checked and the starters were served very quickly and at the same time the same with the mains and dessert. The staff were absolutely amazing we wanted for nothing an excellent experience we will definitely be returning.

Lovely cool place to have a decent meal. Not too pricy. Staff are really nice. Lots of space, so a nice place to go as a group. Wide variety of drinks as well. The chairs outside would make it a really cool place to have a pint in summer. Food was good. Had a chicken curry, which was quite good. Quite easy to locate. Will definitely be visiting again.

Popped in on lunch break with a colleague kept waiting having to ask after 35 mins about our order leaving no time to finish it not pleased work 16 hours and the only time we get to eat is wasted.

Have breakfasted here often and would normally give 5 stars. But we arrived 15 minutes before breakfast ended, and the remaining food had not been kept adequately warm, hence cold mushrooms and scrambled eggs, lukewarm baked beans and bacon. Disappointed in ourselves for arriving late...

We came to the Brewers Fayre for a pre-wedding meal with about 20 guests. They accommodated us nicely, food was good, service was good, no complaints. Thanks!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a large sign stating 'please wait here to be seated' we waited and waited, nobody came. I went to the bar to enquire, to be told just seat yourselves. We sat and waited, nobody came to serve us. I went to the bar to ask as there were no staff around, to be told there are no table servers tonight, you have to order at the bar. Nice of the person who told us to seat ourselves to omit that important information. We eventually ordered around 20 minutes after arriving. The food arrived around 15 minutes later. I ordered the smothered mixed grill, my husband ordered the Trio of pies. The trio of pies came with a jug of gravy. It was watery, bland and full of orange floating fat. I ordered a medium steak with my mixed grill, which arrived rare, yet was full of grisle, and tough, and when I finally managed to hack a piece off the edge, it was so tough I couldn't chew it. I sent back. The second steak was cooked better, tasted nice, but I chewed and chewed and chewed and I just could not swallow it. To be honest, the steak seemed like a very cheap cut, and I couldn't eat it. The rest of my meal was OK, but nothing I couldn't have cooked myself, it was so disappointing as we went for my husbands birthday meal. You dine out because its an experience that isn't the norm, which you cant get at home, and you expect quality food and customer service, that's what you pay for. If I wanted to do everything myself I'd have stayed at home! That's not the point of a restaurant. We skipped pudding and left.

I had a mixed grill, they asked how I would like my steak. I said medium rare, it came out well done. The crownie desert was nice but didn't seem to have much of a cookie dough base. You order and pay at the bar, I had to wait a while as there was only one person on the till. It was clean and the food was got an edible but maybe a bit over priced for what we had.

Service tonight was poor. Waitress didn't know what course we were on when collecting starter plates. Mains courses were lovely and filling. However, at no point did waitress return to check if everything was OK. 3 empty tables around us were cleared and relaid by other staff and the duty manager before anyone acknowledged we has finished. 20 minutes sat with empty plates. Manager brought desserts but no apology for delay or anything.

Family get-together for 6. Food good, service good atmosphere good. Don't like the NPR system in the carpark. You have to log in your stay time in the venue. Another family get together.
