The Dock Bar & Kitchen in Cardiff

As always great atmosphere and good food. Staff are ace. Only thing is why with the great food do they serve sub standard cheap coleslaw. They need to maybe copy the Ocho Lounge in Penarth!

Cracking pub grub was really impressive. Fish was crispy and delicious. Burger was meaty and tasty too along with fries. Easily order from app which you can download from QR code or order at bar. Great place quick service would highly recommend visiting

Visited Sunday evening at the tail end of Happy Hour. We were originally looking for dinner but were tempted by the 2-4-1 offer of a pre-smdinner drink. The atmosphere was nice and the menu was interesting so we had a drink and decided to stay on for dinner. I must admit it was a mistake. I had the Welsh cawl for £11 and my son and husband shared a seafood platter for £23. I felt let down with my soup (bread was so stale I nearly broke my tooth). There was almost no flavour but the veg was cooked nice. The seafood platter was all deep fried and greasy but we were hungry - unfortunatley we left disappointed.

Went for an early lunch with my wife who had been there before and said it was good. We found the menu had been changed "the previous week". The choices were not as good as before. I had the pie (no further description) and my wife had fish and chips. The batter was the only edible part of the fish and on my meal the only taste came from the gravy. Smaller portions than you'd get elsewhere locally. Would not recomend eating here.

We visit the dock most weekends. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. Great food at good prices. We love the live singers on the weekend. (Can be a bit loud though). Shout out to Jamie who serves in the restaurant.

Great view overlooking the bay, Jamie took good care of the clients outside on the terrasse, he was nice and smiling, gave good advice on the drinks, all was quick and easy, thank you for a pleasant lunch!

Great place to eat and drink , whith great evening entertaiment just let down by the toilets . No locks on the doors and in need of e re vamp .

Nice outside seating. Good selection of beers and wines. Very polite and helpful bar staff. Small bites were ok. Burrito was a bit too juicy and made the tortilla a tad soggy. Bao bun was crunchy on the corners. Beetroot halloumi was lovely. Needed more flat bread though. Food came out quickly, perhaps too quickly. Sitting outside you can sit and stare across the bay and watch the world go by. Would happily return for a drink and to try other things on the menu.

Very slow service on a quiet Friday night, we waited 40-50 minutes for 2 meals to arrive the other 4 on our table had finished there meals, chased up order twice , told by the manager on duty the reason for the wait was due to having garlic bread to start & if you order from bar instead of table service they can’t track orders!!! Duty manager no help just came up with ridiculous reasons.

Service was slow. Waited 20 minutes for breakfast to be bought to me. Music was too loud and some had swear words to them, so unsuitable for kids

What a fab place to be in. Staff are lovely , despite how busy they get. Atmosphere and ambience is lovely . And the two for one drinks between 16:00hrs - 20:00hrs is even lovier 😅 And the food is great to. Live singing some evenings Even the toilets are always clean . Tables are cleared as soon as people leave . This is the second time we have stayed at Cardiff Bay for our holiday , and our second time at The Dock. We will be back .

Having arrived by boat at Cardiff Bay, we were looking for a place to relax and have a cold drink and a nice lunch. We had a nice pint of cider (after I was offered a sizeable taster!) and I went for the Swawarma chicken (normally £10.95) and my friend went for the Lamb Kofta (normally £12.25) - both were delicious and a good sized helping, particularly the chicken! What delighted us was that the friendly and helpful female bar staff told us that at lunch time they are £7.50 each, so excellent value!

Popped in for evening meal after visiting earlier in the day. Staff were very friendly and table was readily available. Lots of treats for dogs were available. Nice views across the bay. Would recommend.
