Absolutely fantastic place to visit, the atmosphere is both lively yet not overwhelming. The bar staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Live music with talented performers who know how to play for a crowd and an outstanding and wide range menu served until early hours. Unfortunately I didn't experience the lounge turning into its night venue but going for an afternoon drink was perfect to take in the city.

Ordered a Chicken madras and a chilli con carne both were extremely salty, but the rice was perfectly cooked. Also had the cheesy garlic bread which was ok and worth the price. hence the 2 stars and not 1

Another entertaining night at Live Lounge! Great mixture of people of ALL ages. Good band...Fine choice of music by the DJ. All staff a credit to the club.

The food served here is first class , big portions and boiling hot

Seems like the owner really need to replace their DJ. The DJ is not is no longer giving the vibe like it used to. Now it feels like the DJ is just playing some youtube songs rather than doing the DJ.

Our go-to day or evening out for lunch or cocktails. Live musicians are always amazing and the nightlife on the weekends here is such a good atmosphere. Bittersweet for us now though because it's above our budget so we'll need visit less or explore new locations because they've understandably increased their prices in line with inflation but it is approx 35% increase on their food menu and the cocktails. We would usually get the 2-4-1 cocktails for £10 and £11 which is now £15. The 30% off cocktails out of Happy Hour is still more than the price before inflation. Only 1 star to lose for this because it's affected our nights out here but definitely solid 4 stars for the service, quality of food, the lovely staff and atmosphere.

Craig is so aggressive it’s intimating, I feared for my safety and my friends, made my friend leave and we waited in the queue in hour and he bought 7 doubles and he made him leave for looking at him.

Not my cup of tea. When I was there was full of oldies getting stiff to shite live music.

Great venue with great live music 🎶 Get there early in the evening as the queue becomes really long and is one in one out. Cocktail deal for 241 drinks early on in the evening as well.

Great live music venue. Also have some superb whiskies and bourbons. The server was very knowledgeable. Very reasonably priced

Love this place till they move the tables around

What a great night out we had!!! I'm 70 years old and my sister is in her prime. We went in at around 7 pm for a meal ( it was lovely) and stayed to well past midnight. The atmosphere was cracking as was the music. Luckily we were only staying across the way (Travelodge) so didn't have far to stagger home. Fully recommended.

Enjoyable night out, always very busy on Fridays and Saturdays ! On weekdays good live music, drinks are reasonable and pizza is available all night which is nice !!

4 or 5 different rooms all with a different vibe.

Always call in on a Friday afternoon and have a double vodka and a can of red bull at £7.80 keep half can so just get another vodka as already have red bull but went there today price has gone up 50p and girl behind bar poured half a can of red bull in drink then put can back in chiller so 2 drinks now cost £16.60 instead of £14.30, feel ripped off!

Great atmosphere. Live Music All day Everyday! Great selection of beers and Spirits. The menu is great. I can recommend the Pizza's! The Staff are really helpful and always great behind the bar!

My partner and I had the most wonderful experience here all thanks to Harvey & Niamh was very patient with us while ordering our drinks as we are fussy drinkers and the suggestions got us drinking different drinks for us that we both really loved. Thank you so much, we really appreciate your hospitality we thoroughly enjoyed our visit & will be back

Great live artist and great atmosphere

I come here for lunch every week with work colleagues, the food is excellent and there's a nice atmosphere too. It's quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

What a fabulous venue for a night out. The live music was fantastic! Friendly staff and rapid bar service. I'd go back to Cardiff just to visit Live Lounge.

This is a great bar for a relaxed atmosphere and good music. The team are very helpful and friendly and the bar is well stocked. Loved the different styles of live music especially the band karaoke which was great fun. Fully recommend this bar.

Amazing busy place, however, I've heard the same playlist for at least a year and it seriously needs a change as it gets repetitive and boring, please please change your music or consider a proper DJ

Always good live music and cocktail hours

If it wasn't for the bar staff this would have been a 1 star for service. The manager was rude, angry and had no people skills. After we checked we could move some tables together to sit in a group of 8, manager came storming over 5 minutes after we'd ordered food and had a go at us for blocking wheelchair access to the disabled toilets. Didn't see any notices up pointing this out and even when we apologised and tried to explain we checked with staff and nobody told us she continued to shout over us. Please learn how to speak to people there really was no need for that behaviour. Would recommend only if the manager isn't working!

this place was recommend to us to try . Firstly music performers that were there on the day ( around 4.30 pm onwards) were really entertaining. Well we decided to have 2 glasses of house red ( SML £2.10 happy hour ) WOW brought back some holiday memories of Spain , you know when you popped to the supermarket for a bottle on the balcony. Served in a glass that came from the 1960's it had all the taste of the bottom shelf Supermacardo . If you paid full price for it you'd be disappointed.

Great place to start the day in Cardiff with live music. Haven't tried the food but what I have seen it looks good.

Great bartender slightly sassy with orders but it made for a great experience Some good laughs and some definitely great cocktails

Me & my husband called here on a sunday night & loved it here. Found it really chilled, entertainment was a singer/guitarist. I would definitely go back. Reading some of the issues about staff bouncers etc, I can only assume they've gone. The girl behind the bar was really helpful & the bouncers when going said hope you have a lovely night & we're friendly.

I love going to live lounge for a boogie but I'm not happy that they kick people out, on their own, when they've been sick. They should make sure that person has someone with them or sobers up like other places legally have to do. If I wasn't trying to phone my brother he would've been out on his own and that would've been dangerous. Something needs to change in regards to safety

Great live music venue with an extensive menu, very reasonably priced.

Popped in as we were passing and could hear live music 🎶. Not our usual thing on a Sunday afternoon. It was full, but it was comfortable and we managed to get a table upstairs. What I was surprised at was that they had 270 different gins 😊. Bar staff were great and very knowledgeable.

This is one of the best Lounge I have ever visited in Cardiff, the live music and entertainment was quite an experience and the drinks are very affordable compared to the fun you're gonna experience .

I was enjoying my night when the toilet lady at 1:50am (18/02/2024), slammed the door when my friend was using the toilet to relieve her dietary habits (she has IBS), and told us to exit the toilet immediately, despite my friends need to use the lavatory. Once I explained that she needed the toilet for a little longer she shouted at her and said she didn’t care, she needed to exit the toilet for other people to use, causing my friend to get embarrassed and upset. I’m extremely disappointed, as I have been here before and had no issues. I hope that the company will contact me with an explanation for this unacceptable behaviour. She was extremely impolite and I will be contacting the company further, and this behaviour is the standard I expect from a low standard business.

I had an amazing night out this Friday that just went by. Music was spot on and drinks are fairly priced. Unfortunately I did not manage to find the love of my life :(

Minus 1 star for the burger presentation, minus 1 star for the mixed leaves when it stated it was meant to of been lettuce. 3 stars for the seasoned food and it was surprisingly hot.

Most amazing bouncer around, Kelvin! Great guy, deserves a pay rise for tolerating us for the amount of time he did aha. We didn’t get the other guys’ name but also a lovely fella. Best bouncers for any club in cardiff, great club as always. 10/10

Awful. 2 for 1 is an absolute joke. The original cocktail is £15 feeling completely ripped off. Would NOT recommend....

Went in about 6:30 all of us in our 20s-50s apart from one who was 17, on the website it says under 18 year olds can go in until 9 pm as long as supervised by an adult - which all of us were. Wasn’t asked for ID on the door and bought drinks at the bar. As soon as we paid for the drinks the manager came over saying that we couldn’t be in there any longer because someone in the party was underage and we had to finish our drinks and leave asap. We explained to the manager that we had been in contact recently to check that under 18s were allowed in until 9pm and she said I don’t care im the manager and this is what Im telling you. Disgusting attitude from all the bar staff and security too. If the information on the website is incorrect then change it. Wouldn’t even give it 1 star if it was an option.

Avoid at all costs, there are so many other better places to go for drinks or food in Cardiff. The bar staff were okay, but management (some crazy woman) wss absolutely dreadful, she'll be the ruining of live lounge. If you want to be miserable and boring this is definitely the place to go, seems they only want people who don't interact with each other and like to have a song song. Door staff also looked confused as to why they were asking 30+ paying customers to leave who were only singing and 3njoying themselves.

Live lounge .. what a joke .. miserable manageress and bouncers ... First and last time ever go there .. give me brewhouse any day of the week
