Lovely friendly live music venue with music every night.

Saturday the 12 of April myself and my work colleagues visited here for bottomless brunch,on arriving we were shown to our table,ordered drinks and had to wait 20 minutes.When I questioned the girl who was serving us why she replied it's been 10 minutes,so took that with a pinch of salt but we all agreed it was 20.Anyway first drinks arrived then we wanted to order more we were told no,not till after our food.When 2nd drinks were eventually ordered and brought to the table,the girl proceeded to drop it deliberately over my brand new jeans,I let that go as accidents do happen..Twice more she did it again,by now I was fuming she wouldn't clean up mess she made,I called another lady over to clean it,whom may I say is a credit to your buisness. Pity the blonde headed girl wasn't,We were sat upstairs and our time slot was from 2pm.I will think twice before I book bottomless brunch here again ..

Went to live Lounge yesterday for bottomless brunch for a hen party. It was booked in advance and numbers were confirmed Monday when the venue contacted us . When two people got there to set up for the bride they had noticed that one table was reserved for us one end of the room by the toilets whilst the other tables were reserved by the bar. They only asked the manager (lady)could we move the table closer to us to which her response was I am not moving paying customers even though we were also paying customers who had booked in advance. When the bride arrived she did not realise that the question had already been asked and asked the manager could we move one reserved table closer to the party, To which she's replied no I can not do that it is splitting another booking up even though if she had just taken two minutes to have a look instead of getting defensive she would have realised that actually swapping the tables around would have actually put both parties closer together instead of mixing the parties . Just made no sense that they had one table by our party and we had one table by they're party . (There was a table even closer to us but because they had not reserved it there was two couples sat in amongst the hen) Bride just stated that she was happy with service as this had been booked and when booking a venue you do it to ensure you and your party can sit together again the response from managers was nothing I can do about it now even though the other party and not arrived so it was literally just a matter of swapping tables. The manager then stated that she was in two minds of just cancelling to booking to which the bride stated if that how you feel then fine . Bride went to the toilet came back and tables were moved which meant her party sat closer. The bottomless starter bar staff were brilliant even made a point of coming over and apologising to the bride and explained that they could see where she was coming from with this event being book. Food was lovely bar staff were really quick on service and really polite. Our two hours were up the staff let us know. More drink were bought as the party was enjoying in the live lounge Party then decided to move on one lady from the party asked bar staff if they had a black to clean the balloon up to which the response was don't worry about it we will sort it .As the bill was being paid bouncer came and asked bar staff how had we been to which the bar staff stated yeh fine no problems. After paying over £860 we left no problem no issues When we got to to the next venue bouncer stop the bride from going into the bar and stated live Lounge had radio down to every bar in Cardiff staying that the bride had caused trouble in the live lounge. When the bride rang the live lounge it was the manager that answered The bride asked what had she done to which the manager responded you was not the nicest of bunch and you left a mess. Bride then asked what had we done not to be nice not one issue other than the tables. Not one interaction with the bouncer to make us aware of any problems that accrued and the bride went onto say you were happy for us to stay the two hour and take our money and now we have left you have lied . The manager then put the phone down. Tried calling today to make an official complaint but apparently the manager that dealt with us yesterday is highest manager there . Would be very concerned if this is case and she clearly could not organise anything tidy and when asked nicely could the tables be moved closer together she got her back up Very unprofessional manager And to make false allegations to other bars is absolutely disgusting. We will be taking this further and seeking legal advice

Great time at the live lounge. The singers were very good, they even played requests. We didn't have food but lots of people did and it looked nice

Good place to hang out with friends. Mix crowd, bunch of youngsters and middle age, above middle age people. Live music is really good. There is DJ as well. Staff are very helpful, cleaning and clearing tables everywhere.

This is literally the reason we come come to Cardiff! My favourite bar in the world, and I class myself as well travelled. Food is great quality, drinks are very well priced for a city centre bar and the atmosphere is incredible, no matter what time of the day you visit, whether it’s during the day, or into the night. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, whether that’s service, bar or security… Live music during the day, and a great DJ who knows how to play to the crowd of a night, genuinely couldn’t ask for more!

I've been coming here a couple of decades now. There's nothing like it in Cardiff. Top quality acoustic musicians all day, free. Us older guys and gals like the quieter late afternoon and early evening. Later it turns into Party Central. Happy hour, which is most of the time, is very good value. I've only ate here a few times, but it was very good home cooked fare.

We didn't have food so can't comment unfortunately The atmosphere pre game was electric, Keith and the Beat did a great job to get a mix of crowd going, but once the voices were found they couldn't be stopped Great venue! Great staff!

Good food , music , friendly staff, free birthday drink.

Had a great time here told my mates to start here as used to come with my father. We sat down by a group of randomers and half hour later we're all singing together and buying drinks. Best vibe in cardiff and considering alot of bouncers in cardiff have a bad name the lads on your doors were polite and sound, even lent a lighter. One of the few places I'll happily go to in cardiff again. Also had a steak and was no complaints from me. 10/10👌

Always go here every Cardiff visit, music all starting with a solo artist easy listening to banging group later

Went for bottomless brunch, food was really good and our waitress Jamie was amazing!

Had a lovely bottomless brunch and our server was Allisha who was as amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. She made the whole experience so much better. Definitely needs a pay rise, she really reflects your bottomless brunch. Amazing service, amazing atmosphere fantastic time.💞

Visited last week after a Wales game. Really enjoyed the outside area. Staff and Security were very pleasant and the Band that was on were amazing.

Did the bottomless brunch yesterday. We went for the £32.50 package. Fantastic selection of drinks and food to choose from, and the service was excellent no waiting for the next drink to arrive and our food arrived very quick and was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and so it again.

Was here for the day! Amazing breakfast, amazing atmosphere for the Wales match, fab entertainment. Went elsewhere for a bit but came back had more delicious food and more great bands to listen to.

The seat we got was awful as we couldn’t see the performers. My food was awful I had a chicken New Yorker and the chicken breast was boiled with the bacon. Tasted awful. The prices are a bit too much expensive.

Was recommended the place back in November. Been to The Live Lounge twice now, definitely worth a visit. Great staff, entertainment is amazing and the environment is relaxed & welcoming. It's a bit pricey (non-chain bar), but everything else more than makes up for the price. Definitely visit if you're in Cardiff.

We visited early evening mid week, great entertainment, food good, staff great. Gets totally crazy later in the evening. Loved it.

A great place. Three excellent singers/artists in when we visited. The atmosphere was friendly and party like. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Somos asiduos desde hace mucho tiempo al almuerzo en vivo y usamos para remendar las comidas servidas allí. Pero las últimas dos veces que hemos visitado y comido, ha sido muy decepcionante y no vale la pena los nuevos precios elevados que ahora están cobrando. Las dos comidas de hoy fueron nadando en aceite, y muy graciosas incluyendo la ensalada. Y el pan de ajo estaba apenas cocido con una pequeña línea en mantequilla de ajo. Cuando se lo dijo al camarero, él respondió "Oh ok".

Amazing night out. Bar staff are very friendly and the security team are the best in Cardiff. Any idiots are quickly dealt with and removed. Great prices, great food, live music every night.

Massively overcrowded, not safe

Estaba buscando un lugar para sentarse y tomar una copa después de un poco de sábado de compras si una tarde y se dejó atraer por la música! Absolutamente fantástica música en vivo y tenía un generoso panini también. Ambiente muy agradable. 👌

Live music really good singer, prices pretty good

Absolutely fantastic place to visit, the atmosphere is both lively yet not overwhelming. The bar staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Live music with talented performers who know how to play for a crowd and an outstanding and wide range menu served until early hours. Unfortunately I didn't experience the lounge turning into its night venue but going for an afternoon drink was perfect to take in the city.

Ordered a Chicken madras and a chilli con carne both were extremely salty, but the rice was perfectly cooked. Also had the cheesy garlic bread which was ok and worth the price. hence the 2 stars and not 1

Another entertaining night at Live Lounge! Great mixture of people of ALL ages. Good band...Fine choice of music by the DJ. All staff a credit to the club.

The food served here is first class , big portions and boiling hot

Seems like the owner really need to replace their DJ. The DJ is not is no longer giving the vibe like it used to. Now it feels like the DJ is just playing some youtube songs rather than doing the DJ.

Our go-to day or evening out for lunch or cocktails. Live musicians are always amazing and the nightlife on the weekends here is such a good atmosphere. Bittersweet for us now though because it's above our budget so we'll need visit less or explore new locations because they've understandably increased their prices in line with inflation but it is approx 35% increase on their food menu and the cocktails. We would usually get the 2-4-1 cocktails for £10 and £11 which is now £15. The 30% off cocktails out of Happy Hour is still more than the price before inflation. Only 1 star to lose for this because it's affected our nights out here but definitely solid 4 stars for the service, quality of food, the lovely staff and atmosphere.

Craig is so aggressive it’s intimating, I feared for my safety and my friends, made my friend leave and we waited in the queue in hour and he bought 7 doubles and he made him leave for looking at him.

Not my cup of tea. When I was there was full of oldies getting stiff to shite live music.

Great venue with great live music 🎶 Get there early in the evening as the queue becomes really long and is one in one out. Cocktail deal for 241 drinks early on in the evening as well.

Great live music venue. Also have some superb whiskies and bourbons. The server was very knowledgeable. Very reasonably priced

¡Qué gran noche tuvimos! Tengo 70 años y mi hermana está en su mejor momento. Entramos alrededor de las 7 pm para una comida (era encantador) y nos quedamos hasta bien pasada la medianoche. El ambiente se estaba rompiendo al igual que la música. Afortunadamente, solo nos alojamos al otro lado del camino (Travelodge), así que no tenía mucho que tambalearse a casa. Totalmente recomendable.

Always call in on a Friday afternoon and have a double vodka and a can of red bull at £7.80 keep half can so just get another vodka as already have red bull but went there today price has gone up 50p and girl behind bar poured half a can of red bull in drink then put can back in chiller so 2 drinks now cost £16.60 instead of £14.30, feel ripped off!

Great atmosphere. Live Music All day Everyday! Great selection of beers and Spirits. The menu is great. I can recommend the Pizza's! The Staff are really helpful and always great behind the bar!

My partner and I had the most wonderful experience here all thanks to Harvey & Niamh was very patient with us while ordering our drinks as we are fussy drinkers and the suggestions got us drinking different drinks for us that we both really loved. Great live artist and great atmosphere

I come here for lunch every week with work colleagues, the food is excellent and there's a nice atmosphere too. It's quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

What a fabulous venue for a night out. The live music was fantastic! Friendly staff and rapid bar service. I'd go back to Cardiff just to visit Live Lounge.
