Garlands in Cardiff

I placed an order on their website for 3 jellycat bunnies, however my order got cancelled 2 days later because they were out of stock, why didn't they remove it from their website if no stock. Very disappointing as I really wanted the bunnies and a waste of my time, also they do not reply to emails. Will not use this company again!!

Nice shop good selection of flowers. Sadly one day I went it was closed before closing times but other than that fantastic place. Would definitely recommend this florist

Hidden gem, amazing breakfast and consistently good coffee. We had fantastic fry ups in this wonderful cafe which is part of the lovely and unique gift shop. A great place to come for birthday or gifts. Highly recommend, and you can take a stroll around Llandaff after you are done!

Found this shop as it was NY Eve and needed some flowers as nowhere else was open in the afternoon. They over charged me as I noticed when I seen the price in the flowers to which she said I was looking for that. They took advantage of my necessity and I chose not to argue. They charged me for flowers they have outside the shop for £25 marked price. I ended paying £45 to which I feel cheated and disgusted. I don’t think they do this all the time and if they respond to put things right I will be happy to re-evaluate my review.

Over charged for flowers felt cheated and disgusted. Not what expected from this establishment to which I will never return.

Always the best no hassle service. Give them the budget and a theme, then forget about the stress. I fully trust Garlands to create exactly what is needed and delivered for free over £30. Perfect.

A beautiful shop selling cards, flowers, toys, and gifts, such as costume jewellery, scarves, luxury toiletries and candles. It also has a lovely, bright cafe at the rear with a decent size garden. You can buy luxury food and drink here too, and make up your own gift box. A visit here makes for a very pleasant present-shopping experience :-)

Cute little café at the back of a beautiful flower and gift shop in the heart of the stunning village of Llandaff. Cardiff. Food and coffee delicious and appetising and staff helpful and polite. However outside surroundings let the place down so badly. Chairs and tables available in the yard that was scruffy and not pleasant to sit in . Dead leaves and empty flowerpots are not welcoming ! It has the possibility of being turned into a little oasis in a couple of hours

Lovely cafe and gift shop! I have been here several times over the years and during COVID using the outdoor seating. Staff are friendly, really helpful with getting a highchair for my son etc.. The food is great for a lunch spot, sometimes a bit of a wait when it’s busy but we had a cup of tea and relaxed :) Will be back when restrictions allow!

De cualquier manera, funciona bien juntos. Situado en High Street en Llandaff con un gran aparcamiento público en la parte trasera (con aparcamiento gratuito durante las primeras 2 horas). Una elegante tienda de regalos en la parte delantera con un pequeño café en la parte trasera, con algunos asientos al aire libre. Ordene en el mostrador y su comida se sirve en su mesa. Sirve una pequeña variedad de sándwiches, panninis y ensaladas, todo recién preparado y una selección de pasteles. Buen café también. El personal amable te hace sentir bienvenido. Vale la pena una visita.

I love this place! Don't visit Llandaff without stopping off here. It's a true box of delights! At the front they sell flowers and plants then, working your way through, myriad delightful items. At the back is a coffee shop; upstairs is a cosy hideaway, downstairs a normal, chatty café and there's seating outside, too. They have a customer toilet. A great place!

We went there to try the Welsh Vegetarian breakfast which was recommended a lot online.. We were a bit disappointed. The main elements of the dish the Glamorgan sausage and lavarbread pancakes were good but the eggs were overcooked and the potatoes and mushrooms were oily and burnt, which ruined the taste of the dish. The service was good.

Have eaten here many times. Very saddened today. Made to feel extremely unwelcome a problem, as my mother is a wheelchair user, and apparently a fire hazard. We can cope without the disabled toilet facilities. But not discriminated against because my mother is a wheelchair user. I would not recommend Garlands to disabled people. How sad to be treated like this in 2017 .

Granted, we aren't from Cardiff so we are limited in comparisons, but as we are from Melbourne, Aus where every second shop front is a brilliant Cafe with amazing food, coffee and atmosphere, we feel we have a little to go on. Garlands was a small stumble-upon for us this morning as we wandered about. We liked the look of the place and what the menu offered. I always, always get excited when there's a vegetarian big breakfast style meal on the menu, but am skeptical on when they say 'sausage' - but Garlands just kept 'kicking goals', as they say. The whole breakfast was over two plates, beans, sausage, eggs galore - slice of thick toast, brilliant! Everything was great and to be honest, the coffee was the best I've had yet in all of the UK. Highly recommend Garlands, great small Cafe with a cool vibe, friendly staff and relaxing music.

Disabled ok! Service here was excellent, especially considering how busy it was. Food was good in quality and in value. If I was ever here in the morning again I'd revisit. Be warned though - getting seated might be difficult. A few were turned away whilst we were there, I guess we just got lucky to be seated so quickly.

Called here, for some lunch . Served quickly and efficiently. Quite a wide selection for a relatively small place . Food was well presented, really nice and not over priced Would recommend and visit again

I have eaten here alot over the last 2 years, and although it has changed hands the breakfast menu here is still lush. Lots of options, super tasty.

Took my sister who was visiting from the US, my mum, my son and myself for a breakfast here, the tall slim man who served us was so rude we were forced to walk out!

Went here for lunch with my friend. He had a jacket potato - it was enormous! I had a BLT which came with salad and coleslaw. It was so delisiou. The best in Cardiff! Small cafe but big on flavours.

I have visited Garlands on a number of occasions. My best experiences have been when I just popped in for cake and coffee. However, for any cooked meals/breakfast the service is very slow and the food not as tasty as it could be. Would definitely recommend it for the cake, but not so much for lunch.

I go here for breakfast every so often on a Saturday and am always very impressed. However, on a more recent visit everyone in the party I was with ordered the pancakes and complained that they were not as good as previous visits. Hopefully this is just an anomaly and they'll be back to their best next time!

used to go here every lunchtime , served glamorgan sausages , coffee served proper barista style with a " drawn " cream feather on the top . now food average , lots of the former staff gone , coffee bog standard , such a shame they do not understand the local competition and no specials anymore !

Four friends based on a recommendation and review had our Sunday brunch. We had four different dishes and all of us enjoyed our selection - Must confess. Pulled pork was the best. The staff are very polite. The place is well decorated, clean and homily. Highly recommended.

We both had two delicious breakfasts. My boyfriend had the veggie breakfast that came with homemade sausages and laver pancakes. I had the morning Mumbles which had the traditional laver and cockles with black pudding and the best bacon I've had in years. The breakfast portions set us up for the day, cooked to perfection and the service was good too, would throughly recommend.

Very very small coffee shop but friendly and well priced. Has outdoor eating. Handy if exploring the village. Difficult to find, its right at the back of the shop.

This is my 3rd visit to this delightful café/restaurant in Cardiff. Food and service second to none. Called in for coffee and a snack but couldn't resist ordering the Cawl, again, which is absolutely delicious and I would love the recipe. Friendly efficient service, slight mix up on the type of bread for my daughters sandwich, sorted out in minutes with a smile. On our next visit am definitely going to try one of the amazing homemade cakes on offer that is if I can resist the Cawl. Also amazing value for money as you know it is all homemade and very tasty.

We liked the atmosphere in Garlands and the blond petite waitress was so lovely and we could have chatted about clothes and Wales for hours. The cawl was nice but we really did not like the Welsh rarebit a bit too strong for these taste buds and for my child. We found this was the only Welsh food serving place we could find in four days.

In Cardiff for the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Millenniun Stadium.Needed some food before heading into the gig,Was wandering around the covered market and saw Garlands.Had the club sandwich and a cappuchino.Excellent food.Recommended.

This is a small cafe at the back of a fantastic little shop in the heart of LLandaff Village - its the sort of shop where there is something for everyone and to be able to stop for a coffee is a definite plus! There is a side entrance from the car park if you do not want to shop with access for pushchairs and a little courtyard for al fresco coffee too. The food is simple but delicious - the coffee is excellent and the service great. Home baked cakes are a real temptation!
