Croeso Lounge in Swansea

Lovely restaurant, beautiful view , but our food was less than average, I had the Budda bowl , what I had barely covered the bottom of the bowl , my husband had chicken with fries and the fries were so overcooked you could snap them .

Dreadful. ‘Sit anywhere’ the sign says. ‘Pay at bar’. Just me so clocked an empty table, paid at bar. Went back to table which was then taken. saw a different empty table. Went back to bar to tell lady, queue had quickly formed at bar so sat tight at table for fear of losing that table too. Informed table staff of my new whereabouts. Chaos ensued, table staff back & forth questioning my order. Time was pressing by now. I just left.

Went for a works do and ordered the 3 tapas choice for £13.25. They were excellent and probably the best tapas I have had in a long while. Would definitely visit again and have told friends as well. Could be my go-to eatery for the future.

I've visited Croeso Lounge in Mumbles many times, and every visit has been a good experience. The food is consistent across the other sites, especially the burgers, which are always cooked perfectly. Their sweet potato fries are amazing, crispy, and full of flavour, making them a must try. The atmosphere has a trendy and relaxed feel, the kind of place that feels should attract students. No matter the weather, it is always busy, which is primarily down to its location. The staff are really friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming environment. If you are in Mumbles and looking for great food in a lively setting, Croeso Lounge is well worth a visit!

A birthday dinner for 8 people. It was a great success, really excellent food served by kind and efficient staff. Just a really friendly atmosphere, we all felt well looked after. Thanks to everyone working there!

Visited recently with Grandkids for a lunch. There was a queue for a table, but only waited 5 minutes or so. After us, however, restaurant was full and people were being turned away. Menus delivered immediately, orders taken at counter. Food came quickly and was very good. Kids had small Mac’n’cheese which they loved. We shared a tapas which was very nice. Difficult to attract staff attention as they are running round like blue a***d flies as so busy. Good buzz in the place, lots of young families, dog friendly on ground floor. Only criticism was that people kept queuing despite restaurant full, meaning door wide open and in 3 degree temperature we were quite cold inside with draft. Got up twice to shut door. Suggestion to restaurant, a portable sign to place outside door saying full would stop the drought?

Nice place for a reasonable meal

My daughter is a huge Loungers fan so we tend to visit at least once most places we go. We’re big Mumbles fans as it’s close to the grandparents and this Christmas we visited twice in the space of three nights. The first night the food was excellent, on the second occasion it wasn’t great. That said the staff are always incredibly friendly (lovely both nights - even though the second was New Year’s Day and they may have been feeling the after effects) and we like the atmosphere. It’s an incredibly easy place to visit with kids and grandparents in tow. Also - location, you can’t get much better with the views from upstairs! And the beautiful terrace when it’s warm outside. We will be back

If you want to have a relaxed dining experience with great Food and perfect views, this is the place for you. We went on the Red Storm day Dec 8th, so was not too busy. we made a mistake on our order, which was put right by the manager, who was very nice about it. we were there for a while just soaking in the warmth. So to round things off, Great staff, great food and lovely welcoming atmosphere, what more could you want..thank you.

Although we did not eat in this Cafe/restaurant. The Croeso Lounge is part of a change of Lounge spaces up and down England and Wales. They provide a friendly and cozy Lounge style environment. The Croeso Lounge has solid wooden flooring and a solid wood staircase leading to the second level. In my opinion, part of the charm and uniqueness of this Lounge is that they all the tables and chairs are different styles and shapes and there are plenty of wall art, pictures and decorations of the walls and columns. All staff are friendly and able to bring your drinks/food to your table if asked. Staff do not wear a uniform, which in my opinion adds to the uniqueness of this venue. Located in the Mumbles in south Wales, there are some parking provided by the near by car parks. It is near the sea front, and has a little outdoor spot for people who want to sit outside and admire the view.

Myself and my family had a lovely lunch here today, the food was very quick and delicious. The staff however were absolutely wonderful, we were served by a lovely women with dark hair and a black and white top and a younger girl also with dark hair in ponytails (we didn’t get your names but you were both so so lovely!!) My sisters drink didn’t taste quite right so one lady happily apologised and replaced it no issues at all, her service was amazing. And the younger girl was more than happy to provide us with some directions as we were just visiting! Her service was also amazing. Thank you so much!

Great place! Food is lovely and service is usually really quick. Portion sizes for brunch could be a little bit bigger for the price, but still really lovely.

Lovely venue with nice views. The tapas was a great selection and absolutely delicious! Staff were attentive for a group booking, thoroughly enjoyed my birthday here!

Not the best food. Had better from there. Not so good lately. Called in and they had no chicken. Whatever was on the menu with chicken in it, they didn’t have it. How could you run out of chicken? I had the chilli con carne. The chips and rice were warm, but the chilli, in a separate bowl, must have been heated under the flames of a launching space ship. I ate the chips and rice and the nuked chilli was still untouchable.

Food quality was bad . Had to send my meal back as it was rock solid . The attitude of the staff was blazee when I complained about the quality of my food . We ordered online so were told we’d have to wait to be refunded online In a few days . The atmosphere is unwelcoming and it is very expensive, the menu items are reducing in both size and quality . Such a shame as this place had always been my go to in mumbles.

Nice little cosy place on the seafront. Have been to a few of these restaurants now in the chain and they're always good. Good food, fast and friendly service and dog friendly in certain areas.

On arrival, the place was full. One waitress upstairs. Table not wiped left with other customers used menu on it. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best experience. If we had a welcome with the table properly wiped and a clean menu we might have ordered food. We call a member of staff to wipe the table. We cleared the old menu with food on ourselves.

Stumbled across this little gem when looking for somewhere to have brunch. Great food, excellent service from our waiter Ash who made us feel extremely welcome, nice atmosphere and a superb view to boot. Don’t shoot me but the only small issue for me was that they allow dogs in as I’m allergic, (love them but allergic) - but I understand this is a big bonus to some people. Will definitely be back!

Called in for lunch with three friends. Friendly, nice views. We all ordered, one had the breakfast and two had eggs Benedict and I had the Thai noodles which was excellent. Later we had desserts and that’s what spoilt it. It was £7.50 for a chocolate sundae and it was all squirty cream and a tiny and I mean tiny bit of ice cream at the bottom. The desserts really were a rip off! I could have gone across the road to Joe’s for much better value

It was very good when they first opened but they’ve gone badly downhill in the last 8-10 months! Bad food couple of times being inedible, service has become slow. Such a huge shame as location and dog friendly has always been a huge plus but given price and other local places all allowing dogs they’re going to lose the market now.

We ate here a couple of evenings and one lunch time with our dog. Great menu and friendly staff. Seating outside on promenade. Good location. Dogs allowed inside on ground floor.

Planned to eat somewhere else at 9.30am but was not open so tried this.good breakfast and service and a large cup of coffee (a small cup is not enough to accompany a breakfast) and I always ask for coffee served with the breakfast, not before as it can get cold before the breakfast arrives! Good value.

Disappointed. Portions were meagre and my wife's salad had an important ingredient missing. Lovely situation, pleasant service. Will probably not return.

The food was ok & was prompt In arriving @ our table Hygiene wise our experience was very poor as my partner had chips on his coffee cup & my mum had several chips on her tea pot ! All of them are a health hazard as the germs they harbour ! We were told that is how they came out of the dish washer … well if that is the case either the crockery or dishwasher need replacing ! When you go out for food you expect to get better than you would in your own home or equal & I have no chipped crockery in my home ! Pictures enclosed !

Great breakfast good service very helpful staff

Good brunch had by all. I don't like ordering and paying at the bar but that apart, in my view anyway, it was a good meal. Also it's in a lovely spot on the Mumbles seafront.

Had our first takeaway from Croeso lounge - such an easy process to order online and food was ready by time specified. All the staff we came into contact with were extremely helpful, friendly and provide an excellent service! The food itself was outstanding! We had ordered a variety of meals from flat-breads to curries and all were so fresh and flavorsome! Will definitely be our regular go to for our monthly staff lunches! Thank you! :D

Great place..varied menu..good for gluten free as well

As a rule, I like this chain and have been to many. But today's breakfast was such low quality...what I calk a vacuum.packed breakfast. I've not seen cheap brown bread like that in years. Table was filthy and I got the spray and cleaned it myself as was told all staff (there were a lot) were busy. Just disappointing as this used to be wuch a good chain and a new one has opened near my house this week which I'm now not sure about trying.

Have been to the other 'lounges' in Bristol and Birmingham, and it's great to know this one has the same good quality service, food and beverages plus a nice view from the balcony seating

Overall fairly decent. I couldn't say great value however we all enjoyed our food and drink minor hiccups aside. Unfortunately 2 stars off overall, due to the state of the ladies bathroom. Awful! To put no finer a point on it. It does make one wonder about hygiene in general. In comparison, the White Rose (where maybe it wouldn't be expected to have immaculate/pristine bathrooms) loos are actually much better. In fact, very clean. Not sure we'll be rushing back to the lounge.

Great affordable dinner with a view! The location of Croeso lounge is absolutely fantastic and even better if you sit on the first floor balcony. We had a couple of cocktails and shared 6 plates of tapas between us. Both food and drink were superb, and the bill was under £40. 😁

Nice burgers and great location and view

Wonderful. Popped in for a late breakfast/brunch as the offering at our hotel was so bad. This lounge was just the ticket - the service was friendly and efficient with our food being absolutely marvellous. It was so good that we went back later in the day for tea and a piece of cake. And that was equally enjoyable!

We went here as all the 'fancier' places we had earmarked were full, and we have been to many of the Lounges chain before and tend to find them very reliable. We had a bad feeling about this one when we arrived and were just stood by the #wait to be seated sign'' whilst other people were just heading straight upstairs. We eventually got seen and shown to a table that was dirty and uncleared like many of the others. When our food arrived, the chips with my burger and the side portion my wife ordered were cold, and the bacon in her salad was raw. We sent this back and she ordered an alternative as she had been put off the salad. I ate my burger alone so it didn't get cold like the chips. When finished, with my wife's replacement nowhere in site, she had got to the point that the raw bacon experience had really put her off eating there and she had no desire to eat whilst I sat and watched. In fairness the staff were very good and gave us a free beer whilst we waited (didn't really drink much of it) and did refund our meals. But the whole experience in a place we normally find reliable just made for a terrible evening meal experience on our weekend away. My wife ended up having a salad from co-op in our B&B

Good range of food really enjoyed our meal

Thoroughly enjoyed a night out here with friends. Service was quick but not rushed. Our food order, for 11, came within 20 mins. Staff were very polite and friendly throughout the evening.

Lovely food with lots of gluten free options. Restaurant is also in a great location on the Mumbles front.

Love outside area, had a couple of drinks outside in the evening sun. A good different range of beers on draught. Can order from you table too, which is a nice feature.

We have eaten here a few times now and each time has been excellent. The food arrives in good time and the menu has a wide choice. It also has the option to scan a QR code to order too. The quality of food has been superb, with the ‘breakfast’ meal being highly recommended. If you visit Carmarthen, this is a must for lunch or dinner, but get there early as it fills up quickly.

Without doubt the burgers you find here are the best you will find anywhere. The meat is juicy and combination of extra stuff (egg, pulled brisket, cheese etc) is just phenomenal. My son and I had the Cowboy Smash burger, and my wife had the avocado, bacon and chicken and we all agreed these were (maybe) the best we've ever had. 10/10

I had the best time here, with my rounders team after a game!! Super friendly people working there, special shout out to the two ladies working behind the bar on the evening of the 8th of May. I was lucky enough to receive their act of kindness, after one of the worst weeks ever, those two girls made a lasting impression!! I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you!! Will defo be back next Wednesday with my team 🥰🥰

Four of us ate evening dinner here Wednesday May 1st 2024. I chose the Thai Coconut Prawn Noodles and I can honestly say with no exaggeration the it was THE tastiest curry type restaurant meal I've ever had! Not too spicy, just right with plenty of veg with plenty of juicy king prawns. I was a riot of complimentary flavours! The Espresso Martini cocktails are gorgeous too! The service was fast, efficient and friendly, highly recommended! Keep up the good work!

Love this Lounge. It is beautifully decorated and has outside seating outside and upstairs. Great views. Dogs are welcome downstairs. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious and reasonable. Service was friendly, courteous and efficient. We ordered on the App but can do this without. Will definitely come here again.

Fabulous food and setting. The location is wonderful on Oyster Wharf and amazing views from upstairs. You can also dit outside upstairs and down. Staff were extremely friendly and service was quick. We did use the app to order. Will come again.

Great location right on the seafront. When the seafront extension is finished it'll be even better. Great if you've got a dog as even they can enjoy it 😇😎
