Delicious hot chocolates enjoyed with a view!!

Overwhelmed staff, overpriced menu, overcooked food, undercleaned toilets Young staff were pretty overrun by a half-full café, young guy on till was short (bordering on rude) when asked simple questions like "what kind of bread do you have for the sandwich?"). Had to chase part of our order. The food isn't cheap for what you get, you're 100% paying for the view. This is particularly annoying when the food is also badly cooked - my £10 veggie burger was so overdone it was like a biscuit in a roll. The sandwich and baguette had salad dressing all over them because whoever squirted the vinaigrette from the bottle didn't bother keeping it pointed at the handful of side salad they chuck on the plate. We had to cut bits of my kid's baguette off with a knife before they could eat it. Took my 8yo to the toilets later, gents was in a right state of disgust and disrepair, including old, dried-on BROWN SMEARS around the inside handle of the cubicle door. Ugh... Having worked in food & beverage and service before, I'd say it's a prime example of a lazy venue in a sweet location letting the view do most of the work. I mean, there is literally excrement smeared across the toilet door and they can't be bothered to be polite while cooking your overpriced food badly. Eat before going to the pier if you can, Verdi's is only 5 minutes before this place and it's always great, and the view is just as nice...

Went for a breakfast roll with our 3 year old granddaughter. Absolutely lovely - food and service. That's the 2nd time and won't be the last!

Lovely cafe. Food is great, tasty and reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm reluctantly knocking off one service star as my tea had gone cold before my delicious cake had arrived. Otherwise a lovely experience and will definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful cafe right on the waterfront at Mumbles Pier. Served and patiently guided through the menu by the lovely Will. Thoroughly enjoyed the recommended goat’s cheese salad and will look forward to visiting again.

Love visiting here with the wife and kids, staff are very friendly and the food is very good! Bonus some of the best views in Swansea!

I visited with my family on, Saturday, 18th May. Evening! had fish n chips! Excellent quality, well presented and hot! Generous portions too considering it to be a,sea side caf! Staff too were superb. All this, with a sea view. Nothing was too much trouble forcrhe staff either,. Especially, Helen ( team leader ) and the lovely Lucy!! ( waitress ). Both went out of their to help me because of my disability. Get yourselves there for great service and quality!xx.

I came in as I was having a lovely day out with my friends!! We came in for ice cream. We had a lovely look at all the ice cream flavours as everyone does, I think we must have been in there for 10 seconds. We were rudely interrupted by a woman working there asking us what we wanted in a very bad attitude. We mentioned that we were looking and she rudely shouted at us many times that they close at 8pm. We were very shocked and distraught by this kind of behaviour as it was 7:55pm, and because of her very bad attitude. We didn’t get anything because of her bad customer service, and WONT be coming again! If i could rate this a -6/5 i would! Very disappointed. This was on a Friday.

STAFF - rude - undertrained - lazy FOOD - okay. ATMOSPHERE - none! Such a shame as we used to come down a lot for food. Several times we've been recently and the customer service has been non existent. The young workers have no interest in being there, and this makes me so sad! I hate complaining, but just had to write a review after the abysmal recent customer service (or lack thereof!). We won't be back!

Loved this place over the months but not so good recently. A couple of weeks back our hot drinks order took ages to come - we chased it up and half was served, went back again and was told they’d stopped serving, so had to get a refund. Last visit we had chilli served which was totally cold in the middle. They reheated the whole meal in the microwave including the chips, guacamole and the sour cream which then because piping hot too. Decided to get a refund. They said sorry. Ate somewhere else in the end. Won’t return. Gone downhill unfortunately.

Next to the pier with direct indoor access to the amusements. Reasonably priced Apple pie (under a fiver) which my dad loved. Had to clear/clean a booth for ourselves. Huge ice cream! Doors open and close a lot so not the warmest… First time going in, would return.

Visited today and found it randomly. The restaurant is lovely and was nicely busy. Toilets clean, staff friendly and lovely meal.

Rainy outside, view of the lighthouse, immaculate rest rooms. Lovely staff. We only stopped for ice cream which was lush albeit the server struggled with the scoop and rock hard ice cream bless her. Still smiling. Def re visit - thank you!!

Had a lovely goats cheese and walnut salad with a side of chips here today. It was delicious. Also a large pot of hot tea. My husband had warm fudge cake and ice cream which was really good too.

Went for breakfast. Good service. Clean toilets. Nice location near the pier and the new big wheel. Dog friendly and you get £2 off your coast if you parking back.

Very nice cafe/restaurant. Surprisingly busy on a Monday lunchtime. Orders taken at the counter. Food was served quickly. I'd recommend the Fish and Chips. Quite good value too. Staff are very pleasant and friendly.

We had light lunch from breakfast menu, coffee and cake. Look out for offers on menu. There are some good booth seating for group/families to look out over the coastline. It's right next the pier and arcade. Parking nearby or up the steps to Bracelet Bay

Great home cooked food, hearty meals but always tasty and a lovely setting with great staff, always stop off here when I can. Daily specials are always worth a loook as well.

Went for breakfast, had their basic breakfast x2 and a bacon sandwich. Good quality thick bacon good portion size and very nice. Tables are a bit small once you add drinks on there. But great views and staff.

Wouldn't eat here again. Wouldn't recommend eating here, chips weren't very nice at all. We all left them, cold as if they'd be reheated and just a bad taste. It's a lovely spot with good parking and spectacular views, but the food let's it down. Noticed little things which suggested hygiene/cleanliness aren't up to scratch, which is off putting. Don't eat the ice cream here, nothing against the brand they serve, but again the hygiene of the ice cream station wasn't good! Looked like some ice creams had been sat there for months, and bits of "stuff" had stuck to it. I think with a kick up the backside and someone who can run it properly and manage it, it could be a great place again. Fingers crossed!

No staff at counter when trying to order even though appeared to have been several working . Cakes expensive yet stale. Forgot our drinks until we asked for them. For the price and atmosphere would expect better.

Very nice cafe near the lifeboat station along the mumbles. Food is very good at a reasonable price and the service is excellent. Dogs are welcome, too.

Ordered poached eggs and toast and eggs came out hard boiled. No runny inside and tasted meh Chocolate milk shake Nutella was amazing but food was meh

We visited twice in our two week break. The venue is really pleasant with lovely views and friendly staff. The first was a good visit with fish and chips and a salmon salad. The fish had tasty crispy batter and the chips were ok if a little soggy and not so hot. Salad was fresh and salmon good Cajun seasoning. Second visit we had lasagne which was strangely gloopy with never ending stringy cheese and had to search for other meat etc. The chicken burger was underwhelming.

Inedible pasta, with balsamic vinegar smothered over it. Over cooked chips. Over priced. Cheap cheese sandwiches. Staff are young but accommodating. Dog friendly, which is a plus, however owner's should be able to control their dogs and not have them barking for 40mins, surely the staff should request to take the dogs outside if the owners are unable to calm their dogs down as it upsets young children. Would go for a coffee on a warm day for the view, but never again for the dining experience!

Order at the counter (web ordering not working). Meal brought to your table, nice guy, but need to get your own cutlery, salt, vinegar etc. from table inside. Nice enough cod & chips (thought the cod didn’t have a huge amount of taste) but good enough. Latte was fine

Been coming to mumbles with our kids for years and used to enjoy stopping off here for a sundae or milkshake. However, since COVID service and cleanliness seems to have deteriorated. The last few years we had to wait a long time to be served. Than even longer for our order. Today we entered and sat at a booth. Table was sticky floors were grubby. There was a sign up saying no milkshakes so I went up to order sundaes to be told they weren’t doing these either! Staff were rude and place was filthy. We left and walked along and got lovely sundaes and milkshakes from Verdi’s with friendly, happy staff and better value for money. Won’t be back at the beach hut.

Lovely lunch served here In wonderful surroundings. Clean and comfortable restaurant, good staff and service. Food was excellent and enjoyed by the four of us. Will return.

We gave the Beach hut a second go over weekend as our previous visit was let's say disappointing food wise. Sadly no change with regards quality of food for the not so cheap prices. Coffee in fairness is always good but all six of us have tried a few different options on the menu now, Lasagne, Jacket potatoes, Baguettes and the Breakfast, all of which have failed to impress even at a cafe level. We could go on and also mention less than hot food served on more then one occasion which had to go back. Future visits will definitely be reserved for drinks only. I've added a star to bring it up to three! just for the piano music playing in the background.

We visited the pier on 2 occasions while on holiday. Parking fee is ok as you also get a voucher for £2 off in the cafe - bargain!. We visited the pier cafe both times - had toasted teacakes & coffee the first time. On the second visit we had lunch, hubby had the bacon & cheese burger, I had ham, egg & chips. Lots of choice - meals/snacks/cakes/ice cream, etc. Reasonably priced too. Food was lovely, staff are friendly, very clean cafe. Would recommend popping in... The amusement arcade is standard, the pier was closed for maintenance so couldn't walk on it. Nice to sit for a while though

A lovely accessible cafe on mumbles pier Swansea. Lush views with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of choice for food and drinks however a little expensive for a cafe in my opinion. Toilets on site and dogs allowed.

Came in to avoid the rain and had a cup of tea and a scone. The scone came warm with a mountain of clotted cream and the tea came in a nice big pot. Well worth the money and great views as well.

went on a busy bank holiday monday - my fish and chips took a while to come but the cafe was heaving so to be expected. very good portion of fish and chips, i ended up leaving some chips behind because i was so full.

Visited with a group of cyclists today and had a very dry and sparsely fruited teacake, and a very weak cup of hot chocolate - very disappointed.

Unfortunately 2 stars because my friend and myself came in after walking to mumbles from Swansea. Sat at the table. Nobody came to clear it stuff left on it. My friend had to wipe the table himself. We then ordered just a desert and that took 20minutes the beach hut is usually Pretty good on this occasion we won't be visiting again.

Great place, great atmosphere, lovely decor, . Food was great. However only a 4 due to the sausage was a cheap low meat content deep fried bread stick. And most of yhe photos show black pudding this was missing from plate. We also had the breakfast brioche was great. Service snd staff excellent friendly and helpful.

All we wanted was a cup of tea but was turned away at 5.05pm when sign outside clearly says closes at 6pm .The manager was rude more worried about counting money .even a staff member was shocked we were turned away and wanted to help and she did in recommending somewhere else close by

Lovely cafe.they have some of the most delicious ice creams.A lovely and balanced array so something for evereyone.And if you don’t fancy an ice cream they also do slushies and meals as well. The only thing I would say about it was that they’re were no labels on the ice cream

Lovely location and would expect it to have a beautiful view on a clear day. Decor was lovely and looked clean enough. Unfortunately we were serviced flat coke, twice. We had to ask for a bottle as we just kept getting flat coke brought over. We waited 35 mins for chips and a baguette. Having watched people who ordered well after us recieve their full meals. Had to ask for it for takeaway due to length of time, barely even got a sorry. Opened box in the car to the £3.45 portion of chips, I would be ashamed charging these prices!!! Really disappointed.

We came in not long before they closed (we didn’t realise at the time very sorry) and we were served the most amazing hot chocolate. The staff were very kind, and the music (Abba) was great. Will be back soon

Really nice food and naughty cakes and lots of choice for vegan ice cream. Sitting outside in the summer with the sea view is great they don't charge extra for the wasps and are genuinely reasonably prices compared to most places in the mumbles. I visit regularly.

We had dinner, tried fish and chips (not bad, but nothing special about it), seafood linguine (pasta overcooked, no flavour), salad ok, ice cream tastes very artificial. Such a nice area should have better quality food, the space of the cafe can fit many restaurants from different cosines.

Never had a bad meal here. Food is always hot, tasty and good value. Can get busy at times but the wait is never unreasonable. Fish & chips are always excellent. Staff are always polite and obliging too.

my pepsi was FLAT the chips tasted manky and took absolute decades to get to our table (so did the pepsi in addition to the flatness), so OVERPRICED like why 3 quid for a small chips when it gets eaten in about 3 seconds and tastes like sandpaper? embarrassing behaviour. went to the chip shop round the corner instead lol. do better xxx

Visited on August 18th 2022.Opted for the minted pea soup.Asked the very pleasant young lady,if it was vegan.I was assured by the chef,it was.When my meal arrived,I had my own vegan spread,to put on the delicious warm bread.Everyone was polite, smiling and made my visit,a delight.And the beautiful Swansea bay,to look at,while I enjoyed the extremely tasty soup.Highly recommended.

The food was great, well cooked and presented.. Really good value for money. Would have given 5stars but it took a long time for the tables to be cleaned and the floor swept.

No one seemed to be managing the floor. All tables dirty, had to ask staff to clean ours, then witnessed 3 other customers do the same. Had to chase up ice cream, then chase our drinks. The toilet had a bin over flowing with nappies and the smell was awful. Basically lots of young staff but no captain at the helm.

Rude staff. Dirty crockery - avoid like the plague!

Our 2 tables that we sat down on at this place were waiting for nearly 1 hour 30 mins. My brothers table got a lasagna and sandwiches, all of which were stale. My table however eventually got half its order. I then went in and asked to speak to someone in charge. Josh spoke to me and much to my surprise he handled the situation very well and was very polite. He apologised and said that he would give us some drinks and ice cream as an apology. Due to Joshs great customer service I have given this review 4 stars and not less. We will come back here again as the food tastes good and when there was an issue it was resolved very well. Great work Josh and thankyou 👍👍👍👍

Bacon Cheesburger was disgusting.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and is located directly on the pier. It opens in front of the surrounding restaurants and is therefore very busy in the morning. There are two large parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. You order food and drinks at the counter and pay directly. Afterwards, what you ordered is brought to the table. We ordered baked fish and scampi with fries. The food was freshly prepared and really tasty. The mushy peas weren't to our liking, but that can happen. The staff was really nice. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Nice dog friendly place. Been here b4 and liked it. This time it was a real disappointment. Ordered a Sundae which came in a wobbly little disposable plastic cup with a (very!) detachable foot. It almost fell over the table a couple of times. Got the average-to-low-quality ice cream (not smooth at all) all over my hands... Hard to believe this is the same place I came to recently... 😔

I will never visit this cafe ever again! Terrible experience and heard countless horrible things about how staff members (Briony if i’m right) treat other staff members (like slaves if i’m honest!!!!). -1/10!!!

Nice warm environment with nice coffee and very tasty pastries

Food is pretty good, the breakfast is very good, fish and chips good, the paninis look good but I've never had one. Can be busy so sometimes a wait but there's a few tables overlooking the sea which are the ones to try and sit at

Had a Christmas visit to see Santa and the Christmas market. Rounded off a brilliant afternoon in the Beach hut. They didn’t disappoint. The service was fabulous, cannot fault any of the staff we dealt with, polite, efficient & friendly. Tables, cutlery, area and loos all nice and clean. Piano music gently playing in the background from the piano and it’s ‘invisible’ pianist lol. The food was fantastic as usual, they never fail to disappoint, beautiful piece of freshly cooked, thick, white, battered cod served with some lovely chips and complimented with a side of minted mushy peas. How we managed a ‘rudolf’ brownie after I don’t know, but the added antlers with a red cherry nose certainly made them festive and a must to our Christmassy day. Slight crunch, slight chew and perfectly moist, so good I took two more home along with a portion of the fish chips and peas for my fella. He was well happy with them and it saved me cooking lol. Highly recommend 😀

The food was cold , I asked for a mozzarella and bacon panini was a side portion of mushroom , I received a mushroom and bacon panini , my husband breakfast , the bacon wasn't cooked .

Lovely place dog friendly . Staff friendly food lovely we had brie and mushroom toastie with hot choc and a latte. Scone with cream and jam lovely.

8 of us went for lunch today, the place was very busy, we couldn't sit outside so we went in. They were very short staffed but the service was fast, the food was lovely & we were very impressed. We always visit here when in the area & will continue to do so.

Great location. Staff are lovely and very accommodating, it's a real shame about the wasp infestation they've apparently had for years. There were dead and alive wasps knocking about by our window seat, so the staff kindly moved us to one of the center tables. The food was average but the place looks nice!

Popped in the weekend for some ice cream with our newborn and our 4 year old.. just like to thank the lady working there who was amazing with our little boy whilst we tended to our newborn.. kept him occupied and even gave him a little surprise which he also loved.. rare to see such lovely service. Thanks again

Got everyone order wrong and their fix was just removing the items from the plate. For example asked for no coleslaw, it came with it. They just took it back to the kitchen and scraped it off the plate. They didn't seem to see the issue with the fact the sandwich was still covered in coleslaw. They didn't care. Avoid. Won't be going back.

Went to Mumbles today and my 6yo girl got stung by a wasp. We went to the beach hut cafe and Shayleigh and Hanna S were so so helpful. Hanna got some ice and some anti bite cream and calmed her down. I’m so grateful for the helpful and happy staff there that helped me today!! A massive thank you Hanna… keep up the good work. Kerry

Enjoyable breakfast with Mr B, ordered online via a code on the table, food and drinks were served quickly and were delicious. Make sure you pay for your parking as there are always wardens around (we noticed a few fines on cars when we were walking back to the car), you’re partially compensated for it by the cafe. Went with an open mind, wasn’t impressed when a couple of weeks ago one of the staff told my in-laws to go elsewhere when they couldn’t order online, but our experience was good.
