A cosy coffee shop with plenty of seating. The team are very friendly and the coffees are great. Another plus is having a number of plug points around which makes it a nice area to do some work in. Only thing that's quite a let down is how dry and stale some of the cakes are (e.g. the cappuccino cake). Other than that, I'd still go back for the coffees.

Nice and comfortable place for a cup of coffee. Dark chocolate brownie is not too sweet. NICE !!!

Recently walked into Coffee#1 Swansea and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee here really is the best in town and the caramel latte is simply delicious. The staff are very polite and friendly, especially Alex who made my morning even more pleasant. The interior is cozy and classy and their food is always fresh and appetizing. It's nice to start the day with such a wonderful breakfast. I recommend it to everyone

My friends and I get coffee here all the time, and the #1 thing that keeps us coming back is the lovely staff!. Everyone has treated us with exceptional customer service all the time. Special shoutout goes out to AJ who recommended me the best way to drink mocha and always serves us with a smile!

Gorgeous coffee and the staff are always friendly and nice, I visit all the time! Only took a star off because they seem to be out of things frequently. when I've been they said they had no straws, or cold drink cups or ice unfortunately.

Coffee#1s are always cozy and friendly like!. One thing. Fix the dam door stays always half open and ppl sitting close to it are freezing. don't switch on AC in the 1st glimpse of sunshine. Weather is too cold in Swansea. Last 2 times I was freezing inside the store. Take care of this matter or next time I will lower my review.

I popped into Coffe#1 yesterday lunch time with family and I was really impressed. It was my first time visiting and the decor and ambience is really cosy and inviting. It was a little busy but not enough to put us off and we easily found a table and service was quick and efficient. We were served by Kieran who was very friendly and informative, he made some suggesgtions regarding our dessert choices which I thought was a really nice touch rather than just taking our order and quickly moving us along. The food choices are brilliant... especially the dessert! My goodness.. try the Lotus Biscoff cheesecake! You won't be disappointed. The coffee is fantastic too, not bitter or tasting like it has been sat in a filter for hours on end - it is really smooth! There are books and magazines dotted around that you can pick up and read and there was also a little box with toys that my children really enjoyed playing with and it meant I could drink my coffee in peace. Whilst sat drinking my coffee I noticed how freindly all of the staff were, even though it was busy I had interaction with all of them with a smile and a hello f if they were passing the table which i thought was really lovely. I highly recommend this place, a much nicer coffee house than your usual big names that I have come to find lack the personal touch and the quality of food and drinks.

Wasn’t sure I’d come back as the last time I was here the female behind the counter was very slow and not really customer focussed … I decided to eventually leave before being served. Tried it again today …. Guess what = same female, VERY slow (preferring to chat to others) … no customer focus whatsoever

Had a 'too good to go' offer with you. Which was pretty good for the money 2 bacon baps, 1 sausage bap, 2 all day breakfast wraps, 2 croissants and some cookies. Bacon wrap - had to cut the rind off, as I am very fussy with my bacon and hate any rind left on, was tasty though. My partner had the sausage bap which he said was tasty too. Very disappointed in the breakfast wrap, the bacon with large amount of rind was awful, after taking out ALL the bacon, it didn't taste very nice. The birds had. Wish you could see the photo. Can't imagine the price on it, but wouldn't have been impressed to pay full whack for it. On the plus side the male staff member was pleasant and cheerful

Lovely coffee shop and often pop in. Staff are very welcoming which makes a difference particularly the young lady who works there.

Very slow service. Not to mention the drinks that look like water. Too much milky hot chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate. Then, to dilute it, instead of putting hot milk and stirring, they put absurd water. It was my favorite place because there was great coffee and the delicious chocolate is no longer like that. The equipment should be washed as the. Breack, to make cappuccino, must be washed and the milk must be changed, otherwise it tastes like cheese.

No filter coffee anymore! Just the same overpriced, burnt espresso from awful noisy machines. Only given a couple of stars because they are still dog friendly.

Nice enough, but be careful - you don't always get what you ordered! The choice of frappes listed outside is slightly different to the list inside. Mine came without a coffee shot (even though they asked) and my mushroom and cheese toastie turned out to be chicken and pesto! To be fair though, they did offer replacements

Lovely staff but didn’t have a lot of what we wanted for a late breakfast-no mushroom toasties, no blueberry’s, no blackcurrant jam… clean and comfortable though and the drinks were great.

Pop in for a Coffee quite frequently. A nice and relaxing, very welcoming and friendly Coffee shop. Plenty of comfy chairs and seats inside and outside. The selection of cakes is always awesome, especially their Salted Caramel Cheesecake. My goodness!!😋😋. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. A great place

Pistachio iced coffee should be illegal. One of the best iced coffees I've had in a long time. Definitely worth a try.

Rip off 😂 £5 for a small cheese, tomato and pesto panini but it was the driest thing I've ever eaten, barely anything in it, was pretty much just normal bread 😆 having a laugh

The place is always not calling I ordered coffee it was cold and I ordered Coke there is no ice honestly I did go several times it is always missing something I don't know if there is someone who controls? the place is rubbish

Thought I’d give coffee#1 a try as I was passing and fancied a takeaway coffee. Despite only 2 ppl ahead in the queue it took over 5 mins to be served. The lady who took my order did apologise for the delay and the told me to wait at the end in the usual manner. Having noticed that the customer ahead of me had ordered takeaway coffee but had her drinks delivered in china cups the same then proceeded to happen to me. Unfortunately I had the audacity to point out that i had made a takeaway order and the experience spiralled downhill from there. Perhaps I wasn’t at my most patient today but not sure the sarcastic conversation that followed rather than a simple “sorry for the mistake” was entirely down to me. And the coffee was overpriced and average at best. Needless to say I won’t be in a rush back but perhaps I’ve worked out the reason it’s called Coffee#1.

I frequent Coffee#1 Whitchurch fairly often, and was visiting Swansea so decided to pop in for a Deluxe White Hot Chocolate, which was very nice. Atmosphere was very nice also, and it was very spacious and not too crowded. I will definitely visit when I'm in the area again

Nice cafe. Had a cup of tea and a cake. Could do with a few more tables, but that would make it cramped. Only 4 stars because one of my pet hates is wobbly tables. And you guessed it, the only table free was a wobbly one.

My friend had a coffee which was amazing and I had a season’s special hot chocolate which was too sweet for my taste but great nevertheless. Staff takes ages to prepare one drink because they keep talking to each other and getting distracted with other things. Would recommend but not if you’re in a rush.

The best coffee place around with great friendly and helpful staff. The prices are really great value for the high quality you get with the food and drinks. I'd highly recommend coffee one just off castle square on prince's way under neath the 24 hour gym

First time to the cafe and I thought it was quite spacious and not overly crowded, but perhaps it was also too early for people. Ordered red Berry tea, and cappuccino and some croissants and cakes. The food was average and nothing much to rave about. The staff at the counter was attentive but I wouldn't say necessarily engaging or friendly. It was alright but wouldn't really go there again.

Saved by coffee #1 whilst on a visit to Swansea that, unless I am mistaken, does not have many quality coffee houses. It was early morning and only 1 behind the counter so quite a wait to be served. Nevertheless it was worth waiting for.

The coffee is good yes from time to time. But the staff didn't seem to care. Only one table I managed to find to sit in the staff didn't bother to even clear up the tables knowing people were sitting in. Disgusting. Like I say good coffee and all but yeah 👍

Place has improved quite a bit since 3 years ago when the staff were quite rude, now they seem friendly and helpful. The place allows dogs and has some comfy seating, still a bit pricey.

There was a very long wait to be served at this store, as it is in every coffee #1 I have been in. Ordered a Decaff tea and the milk that was given to us was left flakes floating in the tea, not very appetising. The staff were friendly enough, albeit very slow.

Excellent service by staff, very welcoming and chatty. Atmosphere is very homely and they provide a stunning Jubilee cake and a great cuppa!

I come here almost every day! Beet coffee in town. The staff are amazing every time, always remember my order and sometimes even already have it ready made before I even put in my order. I always find the establishment to be clean and tidy and always take note of how helpful the staff are to everyone. Keep it up guys!

Really shocked to see how much this place has fallen. Been here a hour or so and it’s quiet. Few people that’s all. Not a single table has been cleaned in the time I’ve been here, and to be honest it looks dirty- and the staff are playing with a ball behind the counter - yes a ball!!!! Whilst being served the young lady was eating crisps. Every time we come to Swansea we always call here for a few drinks and some people watching. Staff have always been friendly and can’t do enough for you, what’s happened????Come on staff you can do better than this you are letting yourselves down !!!! I wouldn’t normally rant like this but it’s so disappointing to see this. I’ve given this post a great deal of thought. So more of a pep talk rather than criticism Otherwise I’d have said “ place is dirty -avoid”.

Coffee no1 is no lier, it is number 1. They make the best caramel latte going. Their food is so deliciously fresh and scrumptious. The staff in the Swansea branch are really friendly and welcoming it’s unbelievable. I couldn’t recommend coffee #1 anymore.

We like the coffee in Coffee#1, maybe not the current bean as we found that lacking. Service was good, we find that in most of the branches we go in, and the cake was nice. Maybe next time we go the coffee bean will be changed back to the one we like.

We came here as my girlfriend has previously been and like it. We ordered a cake and coffee each then waited at the end to be called. Four people behind me received their coffees before us. After this, one coffee was served and then had to wait a further 5 minutes for the other. The coffee was very average too

I'm sorry rto say yet another venu that will not take cash. Whilst there an elderly gent who seemed lost wanted a coffee he only had a £10 note and was told no cash taken and was turned away... I bought him a coffee and he was so embarresed that he didn't have a bank card. covid is bad enough without discrimination.

The service was slow even though the place was mostly empty. And the coffee was over rosted to the poin that made it almost un-drinkable

This is a lovely venue to have a coffee. The staff are unfailingly friendly and polite. We've been coming here for some years and would always recommend it. However, only three stars this time, why?because the americano has of late become consistently weak and bland. We tried switching to their filtre coffee, but sadly no improvement. Really not sure whats gone wrong here.

I popped in for a quick coffee and a bite to eat, I had the seasonal coffee in a latte which is very tasty and highly recommend. The panini I wanted was out of stock but the staff were accommodating and kindly removed the tomato from another panini I ordered. It was very busy but this did not effect the speed or efficiency of the service the staff delivered. I always receive outstanding customer service with a smile whenever I pop in

All the young girls are rude and miserable...never smile or get the type of 'milk' for what drink right! The toilets are DISGUSTING, because it's left to them to clean...so they dont! Always running out of things and taking ages to re order!

Messed up a simple order of a latté coffee and a coke.... I ordered and confirmed a My order. But when it was brought over "she hadn't charged for it" even tho she confirmed both items... meaning my daughter had to sit there with nothing.

As a former barista, I'm picky about my coffee. Many places in Swansea offer roasts so dark, the bitterness overtakes any other taste. This isn't the case here, I find their blends (whether house or seasonal) very pleasant to drink. The milk's always done properly too - if you ask for a latte, you get a latte, you can clearly tell the difference from a cappuccino. Overall, great coffee and a nice place to relax, although bear in mind that due to the location in city centre, it can be busy at times.

Waited in queue and ordered my coffee today 4th Aug only to be told I couldnt pay by cash. The assistant at the til said that it was Coffee#1 policy and there was signage displayed. I questioned on my way out with a male member of staff why the girl at the til was abrupt and incorrect about the signage that wasnt displayed. He said they use to have signage regarding card only but it must have been removed. The girl came out to the table again to question my concerns and was quite confrontational regarding me making a complaint. I explained the coffee was fine but the explanation and fluffy policy regarding card only payments was a bit wooley !! 😥

We spent our holiday week in Swansea and have been coming everyday to this coffee shop. Excellent coffee, cozy atmosphere (even air con during this super warm week), relaxing music, and wonderful and very professional staff. We have felt very comfortable and welcomed.

I have been frequenting this Coffee#1 establishment for approximately 5 years. I have, and still visit almost every single day, and the staff here are absolutely fantastic hosts, as well as lovely people to chat to! As well as the good coffee, this is what fundamentally attracts me to this particular venue. To me, the friendly atmosphere generated by the staff alone is just as important, if not more so than the products themselves being vended. However, the other day I noticed a new staff member (new management) who was particularly unfriendly. She did not greet me in a friendly manner like the other staff always do (and have always done). Ultimately, I found that the WAY in which this new staff member engaged me was blunt, cold, unnecessary and a little condescending! This interaction made me feel awkward, uncomfortable plus significantly under valued as a customer. My mood darkened as a direct result of this, and thus I did not enjoy my experience (or my coffee) at coffee#1 on that day! I am now considering taking my custom somewhere else!

Staff are friendly, coffee is good and the food is great. Recommended getting the app for discounts.
