Excellent place to go for breakfast.

Table app ordering and unfortunately took a little time to load resulted in us ordering too many desserts as we thought the order hadn't gone though.

Great local weatherspoons pub in the heart of Morriston. Very popular with locals of all ages and with bags of character. Only downside is that the toilets are up a few flights of stairs except for the disabled toilets which are on the ground floor.

Great food, fast service at a great price. I'm looking forward to returning again.

Had mushroom Benedict and coffee. Benedict was expensive for what it was, would have liked it hotter than what it came coffee too strong. Girl on till not particularly welcoming and girl changing menus over on tables didn't say excuse me or anything. Atmosphere cold

Staff always friendly, atmosphere is brilliant , everyone knows everyone. Food is good and reasonable priced.

Another Wetherspoon. Another unique carpet (this one looks a little worn). Another set of toilets that are up loads of stairs! Food was decent, as were drinks!

My breakfast of bacon and eggs was not great, they were sitting on a plate of water.

Good value for money spoons. Plenty on the menu to choose from and good choice of drinks. We've always had good food here. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

It is the second I have been here,the first time I came with my husband we both ordered fish and chips the fish tasted like it had been cooked the day before and was like eating cardboard and the chips weren't much better.i came with friends last night I ordered gammon and egg with chips, the gammon wasn't to bad but the chips were cold very disappointed won't be coming again.

Good option Wetherspoon. Great food, great selection of beer. Fish and chips are tasty and well cooked, I took beans instead of peas. My wife's gammon cooked to her liking. Plenty of seating. Toilets upstairs and car park not large but great pub with good atmosphere

Cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for. You won’t get Michelin star food here, but for the money you pay you cannot complain. Staff are always great, parking normally is okay, at busy times you may struggle.

Is a Witherspoons pub, always extremely busy. You pay for a coffee, collect a mug and you can have as many as you like. Also when you order food there's a free drink

Absolutely Awful , the worst 'spoons breakfast and service ( apart from the waitress ) I've had ! My visit started badly and went downhill from there . From the very curt service from the Female staff member behind the bar as I ordered a large breakfast and coffee . I made my way to the coffee machine which wasn't working correctly and only delivering half a cup . So using it twice I eventually received an almost full cup. I made my way to my table and waited for my breakfast. After finishing my coffee and still no breakfast arriving I went back to the coffee machine where the milk was being replaced . I observed my breakfast arriving and as I was next in line got my coffee and walked to my table. I looked at my plate and was immediately downheartened ! The 'toast ' looked as if it had been shown to a lightbulb for about 10 seconds . The butter was so rock hard I had to place it under my coffee cup to try and melt it as my plate was cold ! My eggs, placed one on top of the other, were a gelatinous lump and lukewarm . As i was hungry I tried to make the best of it but after a short time I gave up . I consoled myself with my a sip coffee which tasted so bad I just left it . I pushed my plate away and started to walk out but I saw the waitress. Explaining that in no way did I blame I told her it was the worst experience I'd ever had in a 'spoons . I accompanied her to my table and she picked up my half eaten plate and was totally apologetic . I then left and I promised myself that I will not return . At the time of my visit the place wasn't even full there was plenty of free tables , and I have seen it a lot busier . In my view the Red LIon in Morriston , Swansea is a total shambles and waste of money !

I went here and ended up signing up to universal credit. The job centre staff were really friendly and now i'm getting £72 a week.

Food good but cool, could have been hot but left on counter for waiting staff to bring to table far too long, also noticed other plates of food left on counter for 15 minutes.

First time here ordered food which was fast but cooked amazingly we all enjoyed our food. The pizza was awesome great atmosphere, I can see why it was rammed. Everyone was so professional and on the ball. Thank you.

Food and service is disgusting. Tables were not cleared at all during our visit. Wi-Fi wouldn't connect. Order was taken and arrived with incorrect food. All violently ill after eating a small portion of the chicken

Called in on the hop for a quick bite have been there for several months .Although they were short staffed at the time the young girl and youth were very quick to make sure our table was clean and fit for purpose. We one had a curry meal i.The service was quick and efficient and the meal was hot.We each had a large rosy wine this your usual Wetherspoon pub but of the ones I have visited lately this one knocked spots off the other in staff appearance manners and attitude to public also presentation of meals Thank You

Worst breakfast I've had in a long time sent 1st breakfast back as it was cold, 2nd attempt wasn't much better, cold toast cold beans overcooked sausage and an egg that wasn't cooked well. left it and walked out, cheap for a reason eh?

Staff very rude I couldn’t believe how blunt the older women were and food either overcooked or items not cooked to specification. Food also comes out cold and chips look like they have been kept warm not fresh for hours. These problems repeat the three occasions i have visited and has happened on too many occasions for my liking other spoons are fine - there’s something not right at this pub. I will not be returning

We struggled to find a clean table. Eventually ordered boneless chicken, very average meal. Unfortunately, after leaving, we were both violently sick and experienced extreme diarrhea. I'd saved some of the chicken for the dog, she was also afflicted with diarrhea. Avoid this place, it's disgusting!

I frequent this Wetherspoon more than any other pub, and I'm usually pleased with the service, atmosphere, and quality of food and drink. I visited today planning to get breakfast but decided not to bother after speaking to a member of staff who was incredibly rude. I approached her to inform her that one of the coffee machines was not working properly and to ask for another mug. Instead of just giving me a new mug and having a look at the machine, she was aggressive and gave me attitude. She was evidently in a bad mood, and it very much felt like she was taking it out on the customers. It's the first time I've ever been treated badly by a member of staff here, so just avoid the middle-aged lady with blonde hair and glasses, and you should be fine!

Always good for food. Just love the Eggs Benedict and it served til 12,as some. Places stop breaky at 11am. Plenty of space. Great for food anytime of day😋the pizza is back🥳🥳🥳

Good table availability at 3:15pm on a Friday. Easy to order using the App. Service was very quick.

Often passed the pub thinking it was a small local. Decided to call after recommended by a friend. Excellent atmosphere. Couples, groups, young families, The sound of conversation lovely, no music blasting out. Age range great! 20's to 70's+ AND! prices available to all! Been to lots of JDs .All good value, but some better than others in terms of atmosphere, decor and cleanliness. This one, Top marks all around.

Just what we needed . All very nice indeed . The hot chocolate is not too sweet & the cooked breakfast , perfect .

Usually quite good here but last visit was appalling. Nearly 90 minutes to get food and we only ordered 2 things. Daughter crying and when the food arrived we were accused of not being at the table or having ordered food to the wrong table. We ordered via the app and the drinks arrived pretty quickly (so couldn't have been at the wrong table) but the food service was rubbish. And staff quite rude. Only excuse given for the slow service was that it was busy. Yes it was busy but not excessively so with several empty tables. And when I went to ask about the time delay on the food there was 4 kitchen staff chatting in the kitchen (it is open plan and you can see in from the bar area.)

Went for a nice family anniversary meal terrible we spent £70 so disappointed we ordered a surf and turf scampi was slime and steak was really chewy, curry was cold naan bread was like rock, kids nachos where so dried and damp taste awful would never rush there again we went up and complained to the manager and she didn't care and carried on talking about our complaint to staff infront of us we will never go back so so disappointed

Met family for breakfast and whilst the service is great and the food is well priced the actual quality leaves a little to desire. Eggs are over cooked along with sausage and bacon. As for the black pudding well that is enough to have you running to the dentist for a new set of gnashers!!! Ok experience but there are better experiences.

Very disappointed with the food on this visit. The steak on the mixed grill was mainly fat , the lamb was very tough , only one mushroom and the chips tasted under cooked. Also the pizza ovens have not been working for weeks so no pizza or garlic bread

I love a spoons and you can chat without the loud music and it is always clean and you know what you're getting when you order food. Good value pub grub.

Just had the worst breakfast experience ever. Half an hour after ordering we enquired to find out that breakfasts were running at about an hour late due to the restraunt having run out of bread. We were also informed that we were now forth in the queue and our breakfasts should be with us in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, our breakfasts arrived. Both My sister and I had toast based meals but instead of "white bloomer bread" we were given cheap, white, thin bread. When I complained to the male duty manager, he made excuses and took no responsibility at all for the fact that customers had not been informed of the problems, when ordering, or told of the inferior product being served He told me that I could complain in writing to the head office but he didn't know the address, and refused to give me his name.

I drop my Mother whos 82 and her 2 friends here most Tuesdays and they stay 2 hours and have coffees and toast, biscuits etc and they love it!

A lovely Wetherspoons, especially when sitting on the patio on a sunny day. Well priced drinks as usual, but food is the just okay.

Been going to the red lion for years with no concerns at all. Yesterday went for a meal for my birthday. Ordered our meals which included two large mixed grills. The food came out far to quick after ordering. The mixed grills were cold the meats were just piled up on top of each other. All the meats tasted the same. So over cooked. Looked and tasted as if it had just all been fried together in a pan. So disappointed. 🤦‍♀️

This is one of the BEST Weatherspoons in the south west of UK! Parking can be a problem, but if your prepared to wait a while, you'll usually get parking right outside. DON'T try around 15.00 when the school finishes - sheer nightmare. Even when they are really busy, table availability comes up frequently, probably 'cos it's so big. Food is very good, better than other Weatherspoons in the 'locale'. It's served very quickly, on hot plates, and always with a smile from the waitrons. Options and alternatives are always available; don't want naan bread? Have an extra Poppadom on the house! No chips ( as delicious as they are) - no problem, have rice instead. Bar service can be hectic, despite the number of people ordering on the App. The drink prices are excellent when compared to other 'pub grub' establishments around.

I love the Red Lion Inn, it's a great sized pub with vintage decor which makes it feel local. The pictures and photographs on the walls also show the history of the area. The food and drinks have always been nice whenever we've gone and the staff are lovely too. The only slight downside is parking can be quite limited especially on busy days.

Consistently good value, (with cheapest pint being Greene King IPA at £1.49), in a good natured local crowd atmosphere. Ramp access from the car park for those with poor mobility. The disabled spaces do get filled by w⚓s, though. The disabled loo is at the ground floor back, round the corner, so non-obvious. You need a RADAR key and it's currently (May 2023) leaking and filthy. We've had the current Steak Club deal but watch out because it came as literally steak and potato but we were able to upgrade with peas, mushrooms, tomato and onion rings for £2. There are new deals for small and standard "Pub Classics" between 2pm and 5pm but these are Monday to Friday.
