Good and cheap real ale. The Abbot was off today but the doombar was a good substitute. 3 pints and a portion of scampi. Really enjoyed and never a problem in this local pub

Kitchen was closed that day. But services and customers were friendly and so we're the dogs.

Great value food nicely presented and served quickly. Lavazza coffee too.

Below average grub for a whetherspoons, nobody is expecting The Savoy or Gordon Ramsey quality food. The staff are pretty miserable daily there. It tends to be full of older aged men or lads who are overly loud, just for the sake of being heard.

Busy time of day at 9am I was shocked at the amount of people come here for breakfast. Lovely traditional breakfast with extra black pudding. A little bit of a wait but it was busy. Refillable tea/coffee. Toilets upstairs, bit of a trek... Good prices. Big car park. Nice outside seating=smoking area.

Only called for drinks with ex work colleagues and had no food on this occasion. The meals I saw being served looked good.

Everything came from the kitchen hot and freshly prepared. We've had a few experiences there recently where parts of the order have been cold, or have dried up from being left on the hotplate for too long... but today everything was good, and the pizzas were very good.

Always a friendly vibe in this place, best spoons in the area as far as I'm concerned.

Had a fantastic Christmas eve brilliant staff who were cheerful and really welcoming even though this was only the second time in 8 years made me feel really welcome top marks couldn't be happier 😄

Great value breakfast Only let down beans never warm enough

We often go to the red lion to try out their seasonal menu. They have a wide range of condiments, in particular they have mayonnaise. We often enjoy the breakfasts as the hot beverages as they are unlimited, which is great for busy mums.

Waiters/waitresses were really quick, polite, and orders all correct… however; one waitress treated me and my table disrespectfully and purposely served an incorrect order out of spite because she disliked my partner. When he arrived she proceeded to treat my table with disrespect. She didn’t speak, give eye contact, give the correct order, and overall was rude.

A lovely little pub, food was served quickly and it was hot ready to eat. Atmosphere is a good mox between not to busy but still having some life there. Definitely the best wetherspoons in Swansea.

Typical Wetherspoons good prices for decent food. Using the app meant no need to visit the bar. Food came quickly. Egg yolk not totally solid but not too runny. Staff friendly. Toilets up several stairs as usual. Good variety menu.

We had a lovely breakfast this morning. Small breakfast, 2 toast, and a refillable hot drink for under £5.50 is a great price. The service was quick too.

Is everything you'd expect a JDW to be, but it's one which the team are clearly proud of. Great for a meal out, or a drink with friends.

So Had the sticky Korean Fried chicken bowl, it’s a New dish Absolutely spot on compared to the Palace which was dry, and flavourless nothing like the photo on display very little sauce on it , I highly Recommend the red lion in Morriston Friendly staff, good atmosphere and great food

Can't go to far wrong with a spoons

Cheap and good food although I had to wait roughly 20 minutes for food, drink service was very quick (literally about 3 minutes when ordering from the app). Friendly staff. The Parking facilities is quite small considering how busy the Wetherspoons is.

Food and service was very good. Sat outside in the garden to eat. Annoyed that some customers did not respect the do not smoke request in the no smoking area but couldn't fault the staffs quick and efficient service.

Food great as always but not enough staff. Loads of tables covered in dirty dishes. They put our food on our table without clearing the glasses from the previous people or wiping the wet table....just plonked our plates on top. Not nice.

Absolutely disgusting food and disgusting customer service. The waitress actually laughed at us when we said the food was inedible and management have simply ignored my complaints apart from a seemingly mocking email from someone called James sent a week later saying “we are sorry, please come back soon”. I wouldn’t let my dog eat there.

Service faster than McDonald's and use to be great value for money but prices have risen after COVID and food quality has remained the same.

Fantastic place to drop by and have a lunch, highly recommend the steak i've never had a bad one here, and the prices for a pint are really good, always changing their selection of beers as well so something new to try all the time, the staff are brilliant here as well can't fault them, I highly recommend you try it.

All my breakfast was cold the only thing was hot was the plate and coffee very disappointed.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE! Went there last week with my sister and mum . Ordered steak n chips. N that's wot came a steak with 9 chips . No salad ,no tomatoes .I'd be embarrassed if I was the chef there . DONT EAT HERE SAVE UR MONEY AND GO TO BAR 141 IN LLANSAMLET .ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD IN BAR 141. Red lion is awful 0/10

Is always full, the food is great and the prices are fair. Needs a little improvement with the cleaning and is a bit outdated but the atmosphere is great

Not a good experience at this pub. Meals look as if they have greatly shrunk for the prices! Chocken burger. Sad looking, mini piece of chicken, in a bun, with a slithering of salad and around 10 chips, costing £9. Chicken tikka marsala with a minute portion of rice. Asked for naan bread and poppadoms, cost £11. Order came, with no naan bread and 3 poppadoms. They had no naan bread and I was annoyed that the server never told me this on ordering meal! Both meals were totally NOT worth the money.

Had mushroom Benedict and coffee. Benedict was expensive for what it was, would have liked it hotter than what it came coffee too strong. Girl on till not particularly welcoming and girl changing menus over on tables didn't say excuse me or anything. Atmosphere cold

Another Wetherspoon. Another unique carpet (this one looks a little worn). Another set of toilets that are up loads of stairs! Food was decent, as were drinks!

It is the second I have been here,the first time I came with my husband we both ordered fish and chips the fish tasted like it had been cooked the day before and was like eating cardboard and the chips weren't much better.i came with friends last night I ordered gammon and egg with chips, the gammon wasn't to bad but the chips were cold very disappointed won't be coming again.

Cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for. You won’t get Michelin star food here, but for the money you pay you cannot complain. Staff are always great, parking normally is okay, at busy times you may struggle.

Is a Witherspoons pub, always extremely busy. You pay for a coffee, collect a mug and you can have as many as you like. Also when you order food there's a free drink

Absolutely Awful , the worst 'spoons breakfast and service ( apart from the waitress ) I've had ! My visit started badly and went downhill from there . From the very curt service from the Female staff member behind the bar as I ordered a large breakfast and coffee . I made my way to the coffee machine which wasn't working correctly and only delivering half a cup . So using it twice I eventually received an almost full cup. I made my way to my table and waited for my breakfast. After finishing my coffee and still no breakfast arriving I went back to the coffee machine where the milk was being replaced . I observed my breakfast arriving and as I was next in line got my coffee and walked to my table. I looked at my plate and was immediately downheartened ! The 'toast ' looked as if it had been shown to a lightbulb for about 10 seconds . The butter was so rock hard I had to place it under my coffee cup to try and melt it as my plate was cold ! My eggs, placed one on top of the other, were a gelatinous lump and lukewarm . As i was hungry I tried to make the best of it but after a short time I gave up . I consoled myself with my a sip coffee which tasted so bad I just left it . I pushed my plate away and started to walk out but I saw the waitress. Explaining that in no way did I blame I told her it was the worst experience I'd ever had in a 'spoons . I accompanied her to my table and she picked up my half eaten plate and was totally apologetic . I then left and I promised myself that I will not return . At the time of my visit the place wasn't even full there was plenty of free tables , and I have seen it a lot busier . In my view the Red LIon in Morriston , Swansea is a total shambles and waste of money !

I went here and ended up signing up to universal credit. The job centre staff were really friendly and now i'm getting £72 a week.
