Not only is the Black Lion a most charming pub-restaurant with great grub and affordable drinks, but it is also famous for being frequented by the great author Dylan Thomas while he was living in Cei Newydd. It's been turned into almost something like a Dylan Thomas museum, with a portrait of the artist and photos all around, and even a sign of LLAREGGUB, the fictional village where 'Under Milk Wood' is set... The perfet surroundings for an unforgettable Welsh dinner or drinking evening!

Looking for somewhere for morning coffee and thought we would try Caffi Maes. Prime location on the square in Caernarfon. Sat outside on a grey morning in October. My sister who is a coffee connoisseur declared it the best coffee she had ever had!! Nice place to sit and people watch.

We had a fabulous stay in this unique coastal gem. Arrived Sat pm and had a lovely afternoon in the very quaint bar. A lovely selection of drinks available including an IPA made with seaweed, which was fab. The staff couldnāt do enough to make us feel welcome. Great food too. We went to bed to the sound of curlews and had a very comfortable nights sleep. Waking up to a very calm and scenic bay. Perfect!

We had a great night at The Benllech. We booked dinner for 15 of us, a local table tennis group. We had a mixture of Christmas menu and normal menu. We were well looked after by very friendly staff. The food and service were excellent and portions were large. Drinks were also reasonably priced. There was an excellent atmosphere which made for a great evening out. Thank you to all the staff and we would highly recommend you to others.

Not a good meal at all, the steak was bland and tasteless, basic food, very poor quality, no salad or garnish, really disappointing. The older lady that served us was miserable, we did not feel at all welcome there, it seems like she felt we were beneath the establishment. Such a shame as it's a lovely looking place in a beautiful location. I've been there quite a few times over the years though I will not be returning. If you want to get looked down upon this is definitely the place to be.

The most obvious tea room on the promenade at Criccieth, painted in a vivid blue, this location will be familiar with many. We called in on a windy by warm bank holiday Sunday for drinks and cake. There was a decent selection of clearly home made food, and tbh I can understand why everything is served takeaway style. Whilst the cups are cardboard, the service is still friendly and the view is great. We really enjoyed our cakes whilst watching the surfer and paddle boarders in the bay from upstairs.

We ordered a jacket potato with cheese and beans which came served in a metal tin so not much room to really eat it. Also ordered a special Thai soup which I can only say was not nice as it tasted like they forgot the cardamom pods when it was liquidised, very over powering and served with a pickle salad which was chunks of cucumber and carrots and also a āflat breadā which was dry and hard around the edges. This was also served in a small metal tin. We ordered drinks, hot chocolate and an earl grey which I can say were nice. I would only go there if you want drinks. I would not recommend it for lunch as for what we got was very disappointing.total price just overĀ£25

My wife and I and ten friends descended on the Kings Head for a Christmas lunch on Friday 6th December. The place looked lovely, Christmas decorations and music, a lovely atmosphere! The pre-booked meal was excellent quality hot and well spaced and the staff were friendly and efficient. A good experience and thoroughly recommended.
