Had a surprise birthday meal here with 16 people tonight we pe ordered our food and it was out in no time. The service from Craig and his team was 10/10!! Keep you the good work guys 💕

A party of 6 of us had breakfast there yesterday. We were the only people there yet it took approximately 35 minutes for our food to arrive. We had to search out the waitress to chase up our order. No complaints about the food itself but the time delay and lack of attention was ridiculous! I dread to think what would have happened if they'd been busy!

Arrived after a full day's walking to a wonderful welcome. Our room was fabulous, the beer even better. We arrived when the pub was in full swing for a very busy quiz night, but it was no trouble at all to get us settled in and to be part of the brilliant fun quiz. The staff were so helpful and really looked after 2 weary walkers. Great steaks, cooked to perfection. Our breakfast was also excellent. Will definitely visit again and recommend 100%. Thank you 😊

Amazing place but overpriced like everywhere else in that area.

Food was terrible, pies were rock hard. Did have money off the bill and the staff were helpful but whoever was in the kitchen could’ve used the pie crust to play a game of ultimate frisbee. Cracked glass

5*, 10/10, MAGNIFIQUE..... that is what I and my family felt last evening. Quality food served straight from the cooker. Delicious and so reasonable price wise. When I paid I was left speechless by the amount. I catered for three times that. Plenty of free parking 50 metres away at the back. CASH ONLY. Also, very friendly.

Nice staff, good service. The salads are great and always have one.

Nothing remarkable ... It was OK, but the beef wasn't great, Beouf Bourgignonne, it wasn't. No onions or mushrooms or steak .... carrots to fill it out .. definitely not steak. Cost £20. Ridiculous. The roast beef dinner came showered with ground nuts. Strange. From the vegetarian version, apparently, Lucky that wasn't one of our allergies. Building is great. Service awful.

Reservamos una mesa para el almuerzo, ya que no estaban abiertos por la noche. Optamos por el Sports Bar ya que teníamos un perro pequeño con nosotros. Sin embargo, cuando llegamos nos dijeron que la cocina del Sports Bar estaba cerrada, pero podíamos comer allí fuera del menú del restaurante. Esto nos dejó poca opción, ya que habríamos pedido pizza y una de sus hamburguesas especiales. ¡Una pena que no nos lo hayan dicho antes! A regañadientes los dos elegimos la hamburguesa de cordero Gower, que estaba bien, pero podría haber sido mejor con un bollo tostado caliente. Las patatas estaban calientes pero un poco grasientas. En general, estábamos decepcionados, pero podríamos intentarlo de nuevo si visitamos la zona en algún momento... El personal era un poco desorganizado, pero agradable y servicial cuando era necesario. Una gran ventaja para nosotros era el enorme aparcamiento, ya que estábamos viajando en nuestra autocaravana y estaban contentos de que nos quedáramos toda la noche.

I know this place has some great reviews: maybe we got it on a bad day, maybe there are staff issues - but it was disappointing The restaurant area was very low on atmosphere The drink selection was disappointing (“red or white” was per much the only selection; despite being “cider mill” and in an area with lovely local ciders there were only two mainstream brands. The food was average pub grub (steak, burger, fish & chips). My burger was tasty (good quality meat) but the chicken was very over cooked. Staff were very pleasant but inexperienced and not very competent. It is a shame: country pubs are closing and We could do with more. I feel disloyal and I hope that They can “up the game”. But unless it changes I would not go back; there are other better pubs in Bwlch, Crickhowell, and surrounding areas.

We came for steak night and would suggest you come for any night. The food is delicious. Prawn starter, chorizo or crab all really delicious. I’d go back and have double prawn as a main it was so lovely . Service is great. Steaks were tender and tomato as sweet as anything. Don’t miss it, affrogato a treat and Eton mess gorgeous. Home cooked with love and attention you won’t be disappointed. Have the prawns! We will be back

What an amazing Sunday lunch, by far the best we've ever tasted. Staff very friendly and helpful, cant wait to go back to try their bar menu and such a lovely setting.
