The Yacht Inn in Flintshire

Very disappointed with our local pub. First time visiting since new management have taken over. It was their bank holiday duck race event and I was made to feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome by an older lady who works behind the bar. She allowed a regular customers child to stay in the pub after hours and when I questioned this, she got very defensive and in my face. Before this, her and a regular customer were sat at the bar like a pair of high school girls giving dirty looks. Very unprofessional as she also seemed drunk whilst being in charge of the bar.

Visit to update the pub for VOC Camra on WhatPub site, relating to the availability of real ale. One cask pump selling a Purple Moose beer which was not in good condition and was clearly passed its date for sale, turning to acetic. Pub itself was beyond shabby, a right dive. I couldn't drink the beer, left the pint on the bar and departed. Precarious exit from rear car park in the dark near a brook with crumbling concrete. I won't be going here again. Not recommended.

Traditional down to earth pub. Games room, patio. Very friendly and knowledgeable landlord. Draft beer from purple moose brewery, Porthmadog.

Always a welcoming atmosphere. Ant serves a great pint with a smile. Dog friendly with good size beer garden. Cracking little pub

Recently visited and to say we were shocked is an understatement. For many years this has been a lovely pub. Now its a damp, smelly, and dirty. The damp and mould up the walls in revolting, the table and chairs were wet to touch. The floor clearly hasn't been hoovered for a while, the glasses were filthy but the smell is what hits you. We could not finish our drinks and left. Disgusting.

Traditional style pub all the locals in to enjoy it… I was only there for a short period of time but the landlord and landlady seem very friendly… well worth a visit

Had a Sunday dinner, was edible. Place could do with a bit of a scrub and treat the damp inside but I'm sure it works well as a local watering hole. Staff were absolutely wonderful though. Hopefully owners will consider revamping and improving on the food. Great to know it's doggy friendly too!

An fantastic family run pub, first class service with friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble, beer is refreshingly cold, crisp and excellently kept, the beer garden is great and partly covered, which will be amazing in the summer with some great choons. Can't wait for the quiz nights. The new owners have certainly made a massive difference.

This is a good pub. Beer garden has been renovated recently so lots of outdoor space. There is a good selection of drinks and the prices are decent.

Not a bad place to stay dont look good from the outside stayed here its over the Indian restaurants very clean and modern but tea and coffee facility's wasent replenished and didnt have room cleaned in my two days stay didnt see any staff

We visited here today with our Labrador and were made to feel very welcome. They brought water for the dog. The prices of meals were great, and the food lovely. Proper home cooked chips reminded me of when my mum made them for us as kids. Our dog even got a treat of a leftover sausage which he are with gusto.Very helpful and friendly, would definitely visit again

I never used the yacht i was waiting outside for over an hour waiting for a ambulance that never showed with my wife who had all the symtoms of a heart attack when the nhs screws up it really does.

Very friendly staff. Only called for a pint whilst cycling. Hope to go back and have a meal soon.

Recommended by our B&B. Whilst the décor needs s uplift, the friendly welcome, and the excellent meal, make the décor fade into nothingness. We would suggest more visible menus, but the meals we received, were well presented, well cooked, and very tasty. We enjoyed our visit, and were very pleasantly surprised at our bill.

Great little local. Always friendly regulars. Cask bitter always goid (Doombar) and usually a guest ale. Small but beautifully clean and tidy. A gem.
