Had a few beers there, cracking place, friendly staff great atmosphere, and dog friendly, definitely call there again 👍 😀

Came to grab a quick coffee after walking our dog, was told at 11.26 thy dnt open until 11.30 even though a lad had just walked out with a pint in his hand. He then told us if we want hot drinks to go round the corner to the hut as they dont do them Not friendly, obviously didnt want our custom, will not visit again

I found out about the pub on TikTok and new that I was coming hear for a holiday. When walking into the pub you are greeted by very welcoming bar tenders. BEN is the sweetest soul and very welcoming not only to us but to my family back at home. I would 100% recommend the point If your in Talacre make sure to check out the point

Lovely dog friendly place, really interesting decor and good food. Would definitely recommend popping in. (Plus a GF menu if that's something you need!) Only thing I would say is it has a limited menu - the photographs on here are old, so no fish and chips! Only has loaded fries, pizza and chicken/ scampi baskets (which were lovely!). They could definitely do with adding some more things on there in my opinion.

Found out about this place on TikTok, as we were looking for things to do while on holiday, and it was amazing!!! Nice environment and the staff are great. The drinks are an absolute amazing price and Ben was the best and made all of us laugh. Definitely a place I would come back to!

Probably the best night i have had in my life the drink are not the expensive Ben the bar man is funny such an amazing guy kept me and my girlfriend and sister entertain all night such a great guy i don’t know how to food is because everytime time we came here it was past the time they stopped ordering food

This is just the bar you want to walk into. Quirky and comfortable. Dog friendly. Very nice bar staff. We tried the dirty fries all off them 😂. Well the pulled pork was the winner. Defo come here again! You have to see the men’s toilets if your a builder like me.

Does the point actually sell hot drinks,over the last week when I've been in the point I've witnessed dozens of customers ask for a coffee,and every single time the staff will make a excuse,telling customers to go next door and get one ,just remove your machine then no-one will ask,the staff look at the customer like they have asked for their bank details,when asking for a latte,very odd

Allowed dogs so that was good, had a nice Guinness, not the dog, I did. Nice looking place, clean, friendly. Pizza was really nice

Lots of alcohol free varieties available... nothing too much trouble for the bar man who was named Ben... very welcoming on arrival and nothing too much trouble... definitely recommend and will visit in future... tables cleaned as soon as people left and toilets also

We had an incredible time at The Point Bar & Restaurant! The decor is stylish creating a wonderful atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing meal or a night out. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the craft pizza, which was a real highlight. The portions were large and satisfying, and the prices were very reasonable. The menu offers a great variety of options, and the drinks – including a great selection of beers – were top-notch. Overall, a fantastic spot, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Always friendly staff, have been on many occasions, food great. Service great, facilities spot on. Children and Dogs welcomed. Come every year on my holidays. Dine in or out. Lovely pub garden. Ideal for family and couples

Just had a very strange, even bizarre experience with the guy at the bar housed inside a wooden shed in the outside seating area. We sat down amongst the other dog owners with our 2 dogs. Happy with our spot, the guy shouts from his shack, "4 paws on the floor"!?! We turned to face him and he shouts it again. I thought he was joking but no! My wife had our 12 week old puppy sat on her lap. The guy went on to explain the rule is on the sign! What sign and where? "In one of the windows around the corner!" was his reply. I couldn't work out if it was his weird sense of humour and that he was trying to be funny but in a lame attempt to show us up in front of all the other customers?! I get it, no one wants pets on the furniture especially where food and drink is consumed but it was on the wife's lap and all the while the rude fella had a cat walking all over the counter of his bar. Asked how that was acceptable and his reply, in a primary school kid manner was "It's my bar"! Regardless of whose bar it is,,,, I don't think a puppy on the lap of a customer can compare to the public health hazard posed by that cat. I'm sure the other punters sat watching our interaction thought the same as we did with regards to the guy. That he was a complete and utter sausage! Yes,,, we did take our custom elsewhere.

Not good staff were in polite saying i could not eat my food on site even if I was diabetic so i left then called a few hours later to be greeted by a teenager with a little bit of a attitude asking if we were customers and i could not use the toilet until i bought something considering i cannot hold my pee for long as type 2 diabetic so I left totally disgusted

Quirky bar & food place. Quite out of character for the rest of the area as they’re all typical seaside places whereas The Point is much cooler. Only downside is they’re on a very limited food menu before 4pm, the street food stalls weren’t open and the carpark is extortionate, and there doesn’t seem to be a reduction even for patrons!

***Check your food is cooked through*** Wow… this could be a fantastic place. Great decor inside. Menu needs improving with more choice but not the end of the world. The staff however… and food is a different story. The gent behind the bar was quite pleasant , the manager (blonde short hair) I have never come across anyone so rude in all my life. We bought the children chicken in a basket and fish fingers and chips. The food didn’t take that long to come and it arrived as it was advertised in a basket. My daughter is only 4 so it needed cutting up and no doubt cooling down… No, the chicken was freezing cold in the middle. I went back inside to the desk to be greeted, sorry not greeted stared at. I told her the chicken was cold in the middle. She took the basket off me and walked into the kitchen. No apology no words no nothing… a few minutes later she came back out and just stared about me, so I said so what is happening. She said the chef is doing some fresh , I went onto to say you need to ensure it is cooked through and piping hot. Again she just looked at me. I came back to the table in shock. Told my friend who I was with and she shared the fish fingers between the girls. Advised me not to let my daughter have the chicken. A few minutes passed and a young girl bought the food out. Told me they had put some extra on there. I advised I didn’t need that she is a toddler I just want the chicken cooked through and hot. I asked for her to wait whilst I checked it… lo and behold it was cold again! I couldn’t believe it. I told the girl to take it away and asked for a refund. She snapped at me and said it wasn’t me that cooked it. I explained I never said it was but I am not serving this to my daughter now take it away . She said I’ll get my manager but I said leave it whilst we eat our food. Luckily we ordered the Juke burgers from the hut on the same premises (amazing by the way) the chef was really nice and friendly. So we continue to eat our burgers and then both the manger and the young girl come out. The death stare is there again. I look up and she said you want to see me. I said no I dont, I’m trying to eat. She went onto say the chicken is pre-cooked you don’t have to worry you won’t get ill . It’s not like raw chicken. I had no words… my friend took over and explained again… still no apology. It was like it was my fault. We went onto say you have to cook it through to kill the bacteria. My daughter is 4 she could have been poorly from it. She then just said we have checked the probes and they are working fine… I told her well they are not working fine. I have checked them with my finger , the chicken is cold in the middle. Not warm cold… she wouldn’t back down. Couldn’t get the fact that the chicken should be cooked through and piping hot. She then came out with my refund (even though we asked to be left so we could eat in peace) and admitted the probe was broken! Wow … to finish still no apology! What could be a fantastic place, very disappointing and will not be returning. Highly recommend the duke burger stall.

I took my granddaughter front Manchester to the beach next to this place, she was hungry so we called in and we were told food is served at 3.30 so we went back at 3.30 to be told it's now 4.30. The menu consisted of 6 things only, yes that's correct 6 things only, WHAT A SHAMBLES.

Visited a few times during our holiday. It's a shame people don't venture far from the caravan parks as they are missing out. It is family and animal friendly, they do ask you to keep the paws on the floors which I don't think responsible owners have a problem with. The food menu is limited both during the day and evening but what food they do serve is lovely especially the pizza. Wide selection of drinks in lovely surroundings and with friendly staff. Ben served us a few times and cannot fault the service.

Just came in today to the bar as a new customer wanting to eat something good with my family I was first greeted by a lovely man that gave me info about where to sit with 8 other people and the menu as we sat down the atmosphere inside is very cool and different the fake plants are a bit of a shame as real ones would make it a little nicer we price isn’t even that bad for drinks but the lady serving us was very unhappy with me asking for 3 Cokes in a glass but as I kept asking for more things the louder her huffs and puffs got but overall very decent food and good price can’t go wrong with a bit of f1 while eating

Fantastic place, food delicious. Ordered 2 pizzas and chips, very tasty freshly made, nice atmosphere. Not too busy, as we've been there just before the season. Better place than the pub in the caravan park nearby.

Only had a drink nice place cosy and warm. The only problem is I got told off for going in at 11am in the morning hoping to grab a coffee before heading home. Only to be shouted at like a child by a woman. Bit rude. If the pub was closed they shouldn't have made it clear and kept doors locked. If they don't want people to enter.

Had lovely homemade pizzas here, the grandkids loved them. Staff really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be going back as they have lots of entertainment booked for July and August. Who could ask for more. Good food, nice staff and entertainment.

Great place for a beer and a bite to eat.

Have been on many occasions when we stay at the caravan park and always really loved the place. However on the last occasions we visited we found the chap who manned the outside bar to be rude. The place is supposed to be dog friendly so firstly our puppy English Bull terrier clambered onto the bench momentarily, he was straight over to declare in a rather abrupt manner that dogs were not allowed on benches although I could spot two cookerpoos and a small cross breed doing exactly that. On our last visit our sausage cross who is a tad vocal was barking, not constantly but let off bark on the approach of another dog. We could see he was pulling his face and muttering. He came over and told us to rudely move to which we did to the lighthouse inn just along the road to which we found to be actually dog friendly and shall frequent from now on.

Popped in here for a sandwich and a coffee staff very friendly I imagine this place would be great for a night out very nice atmosphere and quirky decor the men's toilets are very well done

Went last year and food was brilliant with great selection, came back again this year and the menu has changed, basically all it had was pizzas an few bits but nothing at all for people with allergies. When asked staff the was no attempt to accommodate me, just told no we don't do anything. Very disappointed.

Visited while staying at talacre beach resort with my family my son, my other half, my dad and sister and our 2 dogs.... Absolutely lovely bar and all the staff where lovely and friendly too.... I love the decor definitely my sort of place, we had sandwiches with tortilla chips they were all very nice.... They even have a an ice cream cafe next door. We only went in the day times but I imagine it's nice in the evenings with all the lights outdoors and indoors, we would definitely return.... Even the black cat sitting at the entrance was really friendly ( I hope it's on the payroll haha). One of the nicest bars I've been too in a while 👍 5 stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The menu last year was great, nice burgers, club sandwiches etc, but this year the menu was mostly pizza, pizza or pizza, a few things like deep fried chicken tenders, or scampi etc. but all in all the menu was disappointing. The car park was £5 also which I believe is now a sunset tax, but excessive at £5.

Fab place my favourite in talacre

I've been here a few times, and the pub is decent, good food and a good range of drinks. There's a grumpy bloke in a hat who likes to give lectures about the evils of paying by card, but will still gladly take your money, so presumably the intention is just to add a little unsolicited, unnecessary misery to an otherwise lovely beach trip. If you see him about avoid the place, otherwise it's alright.

Visited 5 times in the 3 night I stayed in telaca . Fantastic staff ,nice and pet friendly . Toilets fantastic, Thank you for your hospitality and I'm sure to be back someday.. CTWD ( landlord understands the last bit.. tyvm .

Food is ok, and the place is nicely decorated and modern. But it feels like it's a tourist trap, they just want your money. The plastic plants and flowers are very, very tacky, also its run down in places, They need to look after the place and not just take your money. Some TLC and real plants would improve the place so much.

Run down, charge for parking and no food during the week, don’t waste your time driving out to it during the week

We visited on a busy and warm day and were able to find a table for 6 people and two dogs. Service was remarkably quick, and the food was very good, particularly the Zorba pizza with roast pear. The prices were reasonable too. We'd go again.

Our first time visiting Talacre today and we stopped off for a light lunch at The Point. We opted for pizza and nachos to share between us, and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, food really lovely and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in Talacre.

Me and my girlfriend visited the pub over the bank holiday weekend, we wanted somewhere to watch the football. Having been in since 1pm, for both food and drinks, around 5.30pm we were asked if we could vacate the table of six we had been sitting at all afternoon, i explained to the barmaid that we would be happy to move to a smaller table to accomodate them as we were still watching the football, she advised that there were no spare tables available. A short while later the barman come over holding a small board, stood over the table and scribbled 'reserved' on the sign and stuck it on the table, saying the table was reserved from 6pm (it was about 5.40pm at the point) i explained that we were happy to move to another suitable table to continue watching the football, to which he pointed to a tall barrell with one stool, i said it wasnt suitable. I felt like they had forced us out of the pub, after spending our money in there all afternoon (£6 a pint btw), we wont be returning and have already spread the word around Talacre to our friends and family. Great little pub, shame about their approach to paying customers.

Lovely time out with family and come past this pub. We had some hot coffee as it was a windy and cold day so a nice cuppa was going down so good. This little place is very unique and has alot of unusual items in tge pub, the mens toilets was something i never saw and it it was brilliant! I would stop by again if we in the area😊 sorry for the mens toilets but i thought that it was something unusual ☺️

Every time I call in here it's either great or totally crap... been visiting Talacre for a few years now and have to call in here because there are only 2 pubs on the street, and like I say it's hit and miss Every time! Lyndon the owner has I think his dad working behind the bar? Looks like Mel B off BO SELECTA TV programme!! Anyway he needs some training in dealing in customer's... I called in a week or so ago after a long walk down the beach now it was only 10.55 and they don't start serving till 11.00 so instead of saying sit down I'll be with you in five minutes he shouts " were not open! We've not even finished mopping! " so I turned around and spent my money in the lighthouse instead.

Very disappointed food options very limited to pizza due to lack of staff and only serving until 7pm on a Saturday evening. We so many people leave due to no food service. The pub was very quite which is a shame as this could be a great place, there are plenty of screens to watch sports, the pub was very clean and dog friendly. Hopefully the food choices and later service will improve during the coming season.

Popped up to Talacre beach for a day out walking along the sandy beach & of course I needed a cheeky drink when I got back. It was very quiet, but it was in March & about 1pm. A very quirky, nice looking pub, friendly staff...I could see myself sitting there a while & having a few more than a half pint

Nice little place, stood at the bar for a few mins and got noticed but ignored by a couple of staff chatting and tidying up until a regular stood at the bar and was served quickly, response from bar was, it’s ok we know what he has, he’s a regular! I understand that but what’s to say I haven’t just bought a caravan on the nearing campsite? Which we may consider? Maybe there are other bars a bit more near and hospitable!

First time coming here, and I don't think we will come back. It was a bit of a shambles. We had our dogs with us so had to sit at the other end of the bar, no one greated us or handed a menu. We had to go and look for the menus. When looking at the menu I felt it was very over priced. Just over £8 for a salad! They were closing at 3 so had a limited menu, but no one told us until we went order the food. You order your food at one place then go to the bar to order your drinks. The food was ok but you could tell the chips where frozen not freshly cut. I also noticed that they do pop corn and a tub of that was about £3 and they they wanted £3.50 for a glass of pespi max. Luckily they had 50% off the food. We went there to eat as the cafe next door was closed and there really isn't anywhere to eat.

We love this little bar, it welcomes Families, couples and even doggies. Always a lovely atmosphere, we always love the lighting in there, due to having a little boy who struggles with Sensory overload and lights can cause a big stress to him, it's so warmly and just the correct lighting. Sunday lunch looked amazing but we only called in for a quick drink after our wet and windy walk on the beach.

Near beach bar and grill with nice out-of-season coastal feel. Decent pint of ale and free customer parking. Quirky bar front brought a smile on.

Dog friendly and had some yummy pizzas!

So came here for Sunday lunch last week as had previously been in for just drinks. Love the venue and the eclectic decor. Service was very confusing and haphazard. We had our puppy with us and was told to just go and find a table before ordering. I sat down and other half went to order. I was then rudely told off by a guy about dogs at tables. The puppy was sat on my lap. Only to then discover the guy is not even staff but I did see him talking to lots of folk and collecting glasses later. So after him I stood to leave and was told by bar staff, who'd heard all this, we could sit there but they don't normally allow dogs that part of the venue. So why tell us to go find a table if there's only certain areas you can be with a dog. How are we supposed to know? (or just wait to be abused by one of your regulars) Sat back but was stared at and made to feel uncomfortable continually by this fella who seemed to be well in with the staff. Waited an hour and the veg arrived at table.. Plates still hadn't arrived 10 minutes later so asked one of the team could they put it back to kitchen to keep warm. Plates arrived 5 minutes later with meat on but then veg took 10 minutes to come back. I mean, the food was great and best roasties but I was glad to get out. I didn't feel welcome and was disappointed the bar staff didn't speak to this mouthy guy. I'd go back for drinks on the patio but won't be eating here again. If you do go bring plenty of patience with you. Great well priced drinks and the food is good.. When it arrives and you're OK with regulars thinking they own the place.

Went in to get some food, when unfortunately the kitchen was closed due to lack of customers, so stayed for a drink and the atmosphere was very nice, the staff very lovely, beautiful decor and garden. Shame we didn't get to try the food but the place seemed amazing

An absolute jewel of a pub. And the only one I could find in Talacre with Cask on! Decent food range, well kept cask, lovely decor, friendly staff, dog friendly and a picturesque outside area 3 minutes walk from the beach.

We have been to the point for the last 2 year wheather we are visiting faimy or on holiday . The pub is lovely dog friendly the food is amazing. Oh last but not at all leasted the staff are lovely polite and friendly and they welcome you with a smile

Lovely place. Gorgeous food and friendly staff. We had the meat feast pizza, chicken curry, a club sandwich with chips and the spicy chilli beef nachos off the specials menu. All our meals were lovely but the chilli beef nachos were on another level!! So so good!!

After a harty walk, we were looking forward to Sunday lunch. We decided on the roast platter as there were 4 people in our party. Mistake! It was more a veg platter with off cuts of meat and 2 chicken legs taking up the platter. No Yorkshire puddings only a flat cardboard thing cut into quarters. I was gutted when I saw the other customers with nice fluffy Yorkshire puddings who didn't go for the poor man's platter. At £54.99 it was a rip off cheaper o get the full works. Disappointed!

Stayed at Talacre for 3 days and we were here all 3 of them, service from the staff is top, the food is great especially the Sunday roast, dog friendly too, loved just looking around the place it's very quirky, great selection of beers and spirits they had everything we asked for, will be returning soon hopefully.

This place is very eye catching and quirky inside; with things very haphazardly thrown together - but it works! The staff were lovely, but the food was very bland and really let it down. We’d return again; just for drinks next time.
