It was a wonderful experience!!

A real pub. My girlfriend and I had a very, very good time in this very pleasant and lively bar. The service was excellent, Marina treated us great, and it was her first month in the town since she came from outside. That day we were lucky enough to enjoy live music, very fun!

Popped inot here to get out of the pouring rain. I had been before but my friend hadn't. Lovely atmosphere with a general mix of customers from shoppers to ladies who lunch. At first we had to sit at the tables outside the bar which was a bit chilly but we just people watched at the station. Cocktails were fab. All the staff were very friendly. Craig the manager came and chatted to us afor a wee while and he was very informative about the hotel and all in all very friendly. We then moved into the bar which was very cosy. Cocktails are a bit more pricey but it is the atmosphere and a wee treat now and again.

I have popped into the bungo a few times because they allow dogs. The service is good and the staff are lovely. The food is very hit or miss. I have done ok there in the past but i can't go back now. Whatever you do, do not order the Balinese nasi goreng. It looks 50% like nasi goreng but once you try it, you will want to try something else instead. I have eaten hundreds of them as I was a merchant seaman in the far east for years. If the Bungo's Nasi Goreng was served out there they would throw it back, shout at you and insist that the chef was replaced. I rarely write bad reviews about food, unless it is very bad. I would say I have eaten 4-5 times there and the menu is also exhausted now. There are 1-2-3 things that appeal on the menu which is far too small. It seriously needs changed and quickly.

Excellent location just 15 minute walk from Union street same again for train station. Room nice and tidy ,had steak pie for dinner which was very tasty .

Had lunch ' great soup ' pizza could have been crispier ' but still OK! Great place 👌

Wonderful fish and chips fried in the traditional way, with lard. Completely different from the "cippies" you usually find around. the breading is very light and very little greasy, this is due to the cooking in lard. Must try!!!!

Epic lamb roast dinner, £19 and worth every penny. Thanks chefffff!

Was taken out for a meal yesterday by our lovely daughter and she choose well ,we had a lovely meal and the service was amazing with friendly staff a nice finish to 2024 and hoping to be back in,2025
