Was less than impressed,, nearly an hour waiting on food and was also told no onion rings , folks on the next table came in way later than us had their food within 10 mins and guess what they had ?? Yip onion rings ,, 🤬 and the constant slamming of a door was very annoying

Fantastic food great place did not disappoint

Got seated and was still waiting 30 mins later for someone to take our order, just felt ignored and invisible, can't comment on food as we left after being there without service for 30 mins

Everything was tasty and fresh, the place wasn’t too busy on Tuesday afternoon. Staff was friendly and professional, definitely will stop by again. Definitely try their ice creams next door!

Probably the best delicious fish and chips in the world! Great ice cream too. Plus a range of interesting food options. We’ve been going for years and it just gets better. They’ve made a super stylish makeover of the premises. Very nice staff even when it’s rammed with hungry customers. It’s a great location right in the Harbour area, you can eat your tasty fish looking at the vessels in the working harbour. Long may it prosper.

Travelled from selkirk and really enjoyed the so fresh haddock and chips,ample sized portions too,restaurant is nice and clean,service prompt and polite waitress,toilets were spotless on leaving,thankyou!! 10/10

Quiet visit, servers were both a little difficult to hear over the ambient noise. Servings between servers were inconsistent in size, recognisably so. Ice cream was good otherwise. Queue handling could do with a rework as ice cream is served before anything else, and separately, so if you go in for a drink, then it might take a few minutes in busy periods for a server to direct you to a different till.

Hi went last week and l am on a gluten free diet and had fish and chips for the first time since 2006 and hell they where good. My friend and l both enjoyed them and will be back soon sarah marginson x

Difficult day.. Husband and I, with a 2 year old and a 5 year old.. We picked up a prescription from Kelso at 6pm, needed a chemist that would dispense so we had to travel from Kelso to Berwick to Tesco Pharmacy to get the medicines for our 2 year old. We decided at this point, having had no dinner to go to our favourite place in Eyemouth, arrived 10 mins past 7pm and they were cleaning all up. I was hoping they were making a quick exception but no one would even look at me standing at the glass, tapping on the window. I have to conclude despite my loyalty to them they are not so loyal to me when i needed them. I had to settle for McDonald's on the way home at the end of a disappointing evening! Probably we wont be back and we'll go to Mackays' in the future..

Lovely fresh haddock and chips. Would be nice if they offered triple cooked chips as an option. Good portion of tartar sauce as well. We went on Wednesday evening so it wasn't busy but interior clean and well maintained.

Great Food and atmosphere. Gluten free fish and chips where the best I've ever had. Very attentive to my needs as a coeliac :-)

Take away orders are one at a time!!!!! Took ages to get my order placed, then another age to get the food. Never have I been to a chip shop that only cooks as its ordered. What a joke. Lots of annoyed people. Things need to change.

We go to Giacopazzi's on our annual visit to Eyemouth and it can be hit or miss in terms of service. We visited again in October and couldn't fault it. Food was very nice and the service was great. We rang and booked a table the night before and also ordered the make your own pizza kit for our daughter. The food is a little bit expensive compared to local fish and chip shops but it is a restaurant so it is to be expected. I was worried that with the loss of Mackay's in the area the quality and service of Giacopazzis would suffer due to not having any competition but I am glad to say this is not the case.

Called to Giacopazzi's as we were on holiday in the area. Food and Service was fantastic. Would highly recommend. Food is a little higher in price but it is a restaurant so to be expected.

Great fish and chips (well, sausage in my case) and delicious ice-cream. I had butter salted caramel and malteser.

Ordered 3 takeaway pizzas from here, really good gluten free options. Felt the price was a bit expensive for how much topping you got. £2 extra for GF base then £1 extra for an extra topping. I had chicken and ham and have to say the toppings were sparse. The pizza itself was tasty however thought £12.95 was quite expensive. Would probably return if I fancied pizza again but would like the option to pay in cash rather than card over the phone.

Went in here for takeaway fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and portion size was good.

We had cheesy chips from here today. There was seating outside near the harbour. Delicious chunky chips with cheese for £4. Staff were very friendly. Toilet in the cafe round the corner. Ground floor so wheelchair friendly.

Me and my partner went there as it was horrid weather so we thought we'd treat ourselves to a dinner out. The atmosphere was very nice and laid back was a nice little restaurant, the server we had was where it was a let down. I had a fish supper which is suppose to come with a cup of tea I got a pot of milk and a cup but nothing else as well as this I asked for mushy peas with my meal (£2.50) extra and I got non little bit disappointing when the 2 meals cost £30. No one came to check up on us when we where having the meal otherwise I'd have mentioned this to them only when it came to paying I mentioned it and was told nothing could be done. Food was beautiful my Mrs had a scampi and chips here's was lovely to the food was beautiful but your service lets you down it's not like you where busy you had 4 tables in.

This place is horrible. Was served by three staff and all were ridiculously unfriendly. I honestly wouldn't return to this place. The young person in the ice cream parlour with blonde hair, couldn't smile and barely opened his mouth - disgusting. The two women in the fish and chip were horrible to my wife and I, and the two customers in front of us. The man who served us caused confusion and then started to blame us. Whoever owns this business may want to train their staff.

Seated got drink of tea which was cool meal came eventually saw people who came in after getting meal first loads of batter on both our fish mushy peas tasteless

We stayed in Eyemouth for a few days and had Fish n Chips one night, the queue at the door midweek often shows how a place is viewed in the local area and they were right. Our fish was cooked to order and lovely. We also had Ice cream on a sunny October afternoon. This was superb. A real gem

Stopped here with family on the Saturday night of our caravan break in Berwick. The queue for a takeaway was out the door - always a good sign in my opinion. We had originally tried to get a table in the restaurant (word of advice - book well in advance, as it was full to the brim). We all chose the Fish Supper, obviously, with a few additional items thrown in of course (Mushy Peas, Curry Sauces etc). It was lovely enjoying the food in the seated area across the road (albeit we were terrorised by Seagulls from the off). The Fish flaked away and the Batter was crispy - the portion was generous. However, it fell short of a 5/5 as I still don’t think it compares to MacKays, who are not in operation now unfortunately. As Chippy’s go I do still think that this business ranks up there, as the quality and fair pricing is clear to see.

Sorry to write this as I’ve worked here few years ago!! Absolutely loved this place THEN. That’s where it ends. So sorry not to see Bev behind the counter, although to see Sharon was nice. Service left a lot to be desired, wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. Handed food and counter woman just walked away!! No thankyou, no hope you enjoy your meal, NOTHING!! What a difference a few years make!! Well seeing you have no competition now. Afraid to say this will be the last visit. Such a shame.

We had mains and sweet, plate's were large and full spouse could not all of hers, everyone was happy, expensive compared to other restaurants around but worth it.

We seen the que. And thought it was a good chip shop. No price board outside. So went in ordered two portions of chips. We were CHARGED £3.70 per PORTION. Then we had to wait outside on the road for our order. When we got them you were lucky if they used more than one potato each. And they weren't NICE. Had better chips from were we live. A proper rip off. Plus it's the only chip shop in eyemouth. Will not go back to this chip shop.

Ice cream portion sizes are small, and they use the cheap nasty cones... not a professional gelato establishment. Personally I would skip it.

OMG! Best fish and chips I've ever had! Fried in beef dripping; the fish batter is super crunchy and stays that way and the chips are just perfect!

Very nice fish and chips, all cooked fresh to order. Lovely seating area by the harbour, ideal for a nice evening meal. Finished off with an amazing ice cream from their own parlour next door, great variety and lovely taste. Well worth a visit for either or both

Just had a takeaway from here, the white pudding is absolutely awful, full of large pieces of barley, none of the kids could eat it.

Visited for coffee, cake and ice cream. Lovely young staff, good choice and the best coffee I've had for ages. The kids loved their ice creams and it was very pleasant sitting outside in the new sitting area overlooking the harbour.

So love the ice cream even the dog couldn't wait to try some! The apple strudel and cappuccino so delicious just hit the spot..it leaves you wanting more so many flavours to delight. Fish and chips are extremely good, this place hit all the stars for the devilish treats.

Awesome food, the best fish in the borders. Because the food at Giacopazzis is so good it is always busy and therefore the service can be a bit slow because of this. Well worth the wait!!

This is without any doubt the best fish and chip shop in the universe. If you are fortunate enough to get a seat and enjoy the superb Haddock and Chips, you are already in heaven... If they're not too busy and you can get a pint of draught IPA from upstairs..... you've just had an upgrade!!! Simply the best... Steve xx

Second person served but still waited 40mins for 2 fish suppers that went straight in the bin. This is not the first bad experience lately. Maybe they think because they are the only chip shop they can serve any old dried out blown fish and crusty dried out chips. I would avoid as this is not the first time but certainly will be my last.£20 straight in the bin and 40mins out of my life I wont get back

Apart from their delicious Ice-cream, they serve fish and chips right next door. It was as busy as their Ice-cream parlour and quite popular. I tried the healthy version with Salad and Coleslaw, which is nice. My partner tried the traditional version and the chips were fried nicely. Portions are good, tasty fish, nice crispy batter. Staff are friendly and helpful, interiors is nicely done too.

We had fish & chips which were smazing , even though we had a half hour wait as it was a sunny day , they were worth waiting for ! We also had a coffee & ice cream in the little cafe which almost transported us back to Italy 🇮🇹 absolutely loved it !!

Couldn't get to sit in as all tables had been reserved. The prices ,food and staff were very good. We will be goin back again. It does help being the only chippy in Eyemouth, so there was a wait, but worth it with the service and food. Not so good waiting 30 minutes on food. I would have thought there would have been some food pre cooked for sale, it wouldn't have waited long before it was away.

Had pensioners fish chips bread butter (proper butter)and pot of tea (loose leaves tea not bags) for under a tenner 5star+ Haddock cooked perfect crispy batter chips hot and plentiful, staff pleasant and attentive thank you

The first time I came here the fish and chips were superb and on this return visit, the standards remain high! Huge portion of haddock in delicious crispy batter was scrumptious. Service prompt and friendly and they have now added a gelato shop to the premises which I couldn't by pass. If you are after fish and chips in Eyemouth go to Giacopazzi's.

Chips were pale. Couldn't taste the vinegar even though I put it on myself and put loads on? Staff friendly. Thought £5 was expensive for chips

Was recommended and went along expecting something special. Very disappointed. The fish was very fresh but small disguised to be big with an over battering. A batter that was to hard and very greesy. I don't expect a grease free fish supper but not nice at all. The chips were soggy and a bit cold. Service was average and they forgot to bring the buttered roll that was ordered. With so many good fish and chip shops on the east coast I would go elsewhere.

Best fish and chips in the area by an absolute mile, fish is excellent and the chips are a proper throwback, I believe cooked in beef dripping which makes all the difference. The chippy itself is immaculate and the service is excellent

Always call into Eyemouth harbour on way back to Berwick to get suppers, we usually get takeaway and eat them in the car. We've never been disappointed, the standard never changes no matter who is frying. Lovely flakes of fish with fine crisp batter and...

Popped back into Eyemouth for lunch and visited Giacopazzi's. Food was fantastic. Service outstanding. Fish was so fresh and chips were quite possibly the best I have ever had. Fish and Chips for £9.50 and it was so worth it such was the quality and the portion size. My daughter had a Pizza and Chips from the kids menu followed by an ice cream and she loved everything. We sat outside in an eating area just across the road directly opposite enjoying the basking sun sat right next to the harbour. I would highly recommend anyone driving down past Eyemouth to stop into Giacopazzi's and stop of for a quick bite to eat. You will not regret it.

Sausage was very overcooked and chips were still hard, I would try again in hope that it was just an off day. Staff were excellent Will update review if I try again.

Excellent Buttery Salted Caramel gelato. Lovely smooth, dense texture, very buttery, slightly undersalted for my taste but very good.

Chips are the best I've ever tasted and the ice-cream is to die for! I've been going there for years but the place has been extended and a new outdoor seating area has been added which is a big improvement. I only gave 4 stars for service as it was a little confusing what the service hatch was for.

It was very noisy because there was a pub quiz going on which spoilt the meal
