Another lovely meal today at The Coppertop. Food consistently delicious and great service is why we keep going back. Keep up the great work.

Unimpressed with the steak, I asked for medium rare and got well done - was over cooked / tasteless and full of gristle, I left quite a bit of it. I rarely give a negative review but for the price they charge for steak, I feel it’s my duty to say so. Just go across the road to the beefeater and spend a tenner less on a better steak. All other meals our party had were great though so it’s not all bad - just don’t get the steak lol.

Took my wife for and early dinner , no reservation , staff were extremely nice I had the Balmoral chicken stack it was “ heavenly “ The wife had Enchiladas This restaurant is a hidden Gem and staff and chefs , can’t praise them enough 🧐👍

Good service. Menu had a variety of choices. Included meals for those with a smaller appetite which was very welcome. Suitable prices. Bridged the gap between a pub and a restaurant. Parking available. Meals available all day. Good for families.

Absolutely love this place, initially we found it by accident last year and have been back a few times now. You just can’t fault it.I’m reviewing it for a second time because after a few more visits it’s just as good as the first. Food is fresh and delicious with great size portions. Menu is varied and price is great. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and welcoming. The staff are second to none, friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Can’t recommend Coppertop enough.

Popped in for lunch, the service was good, prices are fair and we all enjoyed our meals, they have quite a good choice and do a range of small plates for those with smaller appetites. It’s more pub grub than fine dining but what would you expect for £10 - £15 a head. If you’re after a nice simple meal in pleasant surroundings it’s worth a visit in my opinion.

Ate here on recommendation. Pleasantly surprised that they offer smaller portions for small appetites. We tried the steak pie and chips and chicken korma and rice. Generous portions for small appetites!! Reasonably priced £10.95... Lovely clean restaurant and pleasant staff.

We ate here while staying at the Premier Inn, five minutes walk away, so it provides an alternative to the Beefeater. The circular interior is unusual, but very comfortable in arrangement, with some tables round the outside in separate bays. Service was prompt, pleasant and efficient. The menu is very wide ranging, with several vegetarian options. I had stir fried vegs, my wife had scampi and chips.

Arrived just after opening and met by a very friendly waitress. Took our order and the meal was prepared promptly. By the time we left, there were many customers.

Visited Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel with family from overseas. Falkirk wheel visitor’s centre is closed on a Wednesday and found this fabulous eatery in nearby Falkirk. Delicious food, great portions and half sizes for those with smaller appetites. Service very good. Definitely worth a visit.

This was my 3rd visit for lunch and each time we were served fantastic very reasonably priced food in very pleasant surroundings. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful therefore we can with confidence recommend this restaurant and will definetely be back.

We found this great stop on our way to visit the Falkirk Wheel. We were getting a little discouraged and after a bite to eat here weee recharged and ready to spend an afternoon learning about the canals and the wheel.

Had my first meal out since lockdown . Fantastic meal and service , staff couldn’t do enough for us. Let down by other diners who clearly were enjoying the drinks a bit too much and were loud , swearing and off putting . In fact other diners had to be moved as their experience was being ruined by their over the top behaviour. Even when a member of staff advised them that the place was closing and wouldn’t be able to give them more drinks this seemed to tip them over the edge and they became clearly obnoxious . Staff handled it very well so well done . Ladies stay at home if you want a session or just visit a boozer rather than a family restaurant as you ruined a lovely evening for myself and my Mother

Arrived for a family lunch and the restaurant was empty except for another couple,It still took nearly an hour for our meals to come due to a funeral lunch being in the room next door. I feel they need to review their staffing levels during these times. Everyone enjoyed their meal once they received them, it was just the wait, even if they offered another drink instead of apologising all the time it may have appeased the situation.

As locals we often visit the Coppertop for a bite to eat. Can honestly say we have never had a bad experience and tonight was no exception. Last minute booking as it was my daughters birthday. Friendly staff and good food would recommend and definitely visit again.

Have eaten here lots of times now just never posted a review before which is a shame as they are really good and deserve good credit the food is good have never had a bad meal here yet and the service is very good they always walk around the tables to see if you need more drinks and the food doesn't take long to be served as for portion size it is very good value for money book ahead though as it's always pretty busy.

My friend and I decided on here for a catch up after work, she hadn't been for a good few years and maybe just under a year since my last visit. We were so impressed. Staff were very friendly but still maintaining professionalism. My friend had asked about an item on the menu and the waiter very kindly checked with the chef. We both really enjoyed our mains, I had the Grilled Halloumi salad which was served with chips ( you can choose boiled potatoes instead if you wish ) and my friend had the Chicken Maryland which was served with chips salad and coleslaw, oh and not forgetting the banana and pineapple fritters! I can't wait to go back and can't recommend enough. Prices were very reasonable too!

Well looked after and easy access for my disabled mate (sticks) .... enjoyable lunch and no pressure to 'free up table' when finished; and easy parking!

Arrive on rhe 30th december at 17.50 with my wife for an evening out.On entering the staff member took us to table which we had to adjust as we are both disabled and no comment from the staff as to was this suitable for us .(my wife has two crutches and I use a walking stick so it was obvious ) after ordering drinks we ordered fron the menu asking for a couple of starters for myself as I did not want a main courtse The two I ordered were not available(mushrooms and chicken wings) so I settled for chiclen pakora which arrived cold the soup was like warm amf the gammon strak arrived on a plate which was still hot the food vwas piled on top of each other as though it had been done in a hurry.While the main was hot the look was not appealing so it wqas left unfinished.Not a very welcoming first visit.

1. We were the first to arrive as the restaurant opened. First through the door. We had pre booked a table for 3 for Xmas lunch, an occasion that we had all been looking forward to (one person of which has special needs and in a wheel chair) and the waitress didn't know where to seat us.2. We arrived at 12pm and at 1pm we had only had our starter. We had to ask if our main course was coming?3. Our main course arrived at 1.15pm and our taxi at 1.30pm. we had 15 mins to eat our main course. We had to leave food on our plates with no time for dessert or coffee. I do believe an hour and a half to be plenty of time for a lunch?4. We were informed that due to inconvenience we would not be charged for our drinks (2 diet Pepsi's & 1 tap water).5. We found our bill to have overcharged was which just outrageous considering our experience.Will not return next year. Very disappointed.

Had a fantastic Christmas lunch here with friends. Staff were attentive and food was served promptly. Had the lentil soup as a starter it was the best I've had from a restaurant then turkey for the main and Christmas Pudding to finish. All in all superb food.

We have driven past this place for years and never thought to give it a go as looks like a dive from outside! But very pleasantly surprised. Beautiful inside. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The kids enjoyed their chicken and sausages, husband loved his halloumi burger. My steak pie was nice but the pastry but a bit of a let down. Was just a stodgy mess, hadn’t risen like puff pastry. But other than that was good. Girls didn’t like the ice cream that was included in their meals so it was left. Would return but would give the steak pie a miss

After booking our table for 5/15 asked what drinks we wanted waited 15minutes for them we only wanted one starter that came ok then another long time later table cleared after another long wait our food came waited and waited for them to take our sweet order no one came finally at 6/25 a girl came I asked what had been the hold up she said o we are busy on the other side I said I take it we were forgotten we paid bill and left no pudding for us

My husband and I visited here while staying at the premier inn in camelon. We had dinner on Saturday night. We had a starter of Stornaway black pudding in homemade batter with salad and chilli jam, I had mayo as I don’t like chilli. I then had homemade steak pie and my husband had sirloin steak, followed by Knickerbocker glory. The whole meal was fabulous. So much so that we returned on the Sunday for roast beef dinner which was very tender and tasty filled by homemade White chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Our waitress Laura and the other staff looked after us very well. Will be returning next time we are in Falkirk.

This unusual place is just a few minutes walk from the Falkirk Central Premier Inn. My advice? Ditch the Beefeater and give this place a go. (Cross the road and turn left, and within 2 minutes you will see a rather odd building in front of a church - this is the Coppertop.) The inside is just as unusual as the outside but the booths lining the sides are just the right size and quite "cosy" inside the high-ceilinged interior. The list of food on the menu is eclectic, which worried me. However, everything served was highly flavoured, nicely cooked and well presented. The staff are very courteous without being too "in your face". I was on a business trip with two colleagues (one, a vegan), and all of us ate well and were glad we ventured out.

Have been to restaurant many times, never had any complaints, but I booked a table for 6 on Saturday night for family who were visiting me and I was totally disappointed with food. We ordered 4 starters to share ( 3 chicken pakora & 1 chicken wings ), Starters were small, too much batter on Pakora & certainly not worth the money. ) Of the 6 main meals 2 were o.k.. 1 Steak pie, which was luke warm, was on plate like the dog's dinner and had a strange taste, 1 Fish meal - Not a lot of fish, but plenty of batter. 2 macaroni meals - macaroni was fine, but all meals that came with chips, the chips were luke warm and certainly not fresh ( they looked like chips from a chip shop ). After spending £118.00 on foods & drink I expected a lot more than what I was given.

I hadn't been here for several years but twice this month friends suggested a meal here.

Decided to go here on my brother's recommendation as he had had the steak pie before and said it was good...he on this occasion ordered steak pie and potatoes..but discovered it's not the same as before..a very different taste.. but ok...I ordered steak pie and chips my mum had macaroni with chips..macaroni was very bland ..my steak pie overcooked and dry.. the chips on both plates were disgusting...inedible..when we told the waitress she offered garlic bread or more chips to which we declined...after 5 minutes she returned with a portion of chips and asked if we could try them as it was a new menu and the chef was looking for feedback..these were alot better..but we'd had enough by now...this just shows me they weren't bothered what they sent out in the first place...although the waitress apologised in my opinion she should have made a reduction in the amount charged...but didn't...so yet another restaurant in the area that doesn't respect its customers and sees them as easy money...not a good way to run a business..so I won't be back...the railway inn in dennyloanhead and the coachman in kilsyth are of a far higher standard for the same price...

This is a decent family restaurant which boasts an unusual copper temple-like roof. My husband and son had both requested the steak pie which sounded lovely but after ordering, we were told they'd just missed out so had to choose something else.

Enjoyed a meal for a group of six on a Saturday evening at the Coppertop.

The food was decent, we only had mains with drinks, and it was good value £15 per head. I'm not sure if we had a lot of options when staying at the local premier inn to walk to a restaurant. It was an ok evening, very warm and no air con. Possibly didn't expect 34 degrees c in Falkrirk however.

Stopped in for a late lunch while touring around and was pleasantly surprised at just how good it was. Akin to an American diner, serving comfort food favorites. Building is cool with an elaborate soaring ceiling in the center of the circular dining room. Fish & chips, burger and mac & cheese were good, steak pie was delicious with a very tasty sauce. Tip: order a side of the haggis sauce, it is delicious with anything. We put it on the burger and were even dipping our fries in it! Try it, seems like a low-key place the locals would go to.

I have often driven past this restaurant and thought it didn’t look that great from the outside. However, online reviews suggested otherwise, so I thought I would try it while on that side of town. I am so pleased I did! We went on a Thursday afternoon at a slightly odd time for lunch and were the only diners in our side (I think there was another area past the bar as a group emerged from there while we were eating). The staff were very friendly and efficient, they have a great value 2 course menu, the inside is unusual with the copper top and pleasant (though it got quite hot while we were there, I saw they did have air conditioning but I guess it was not worth putting it on with so few guests) and the food was very tasty. I will definitely be back!

Having never been before I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, the restaurant is a little 'odd' when you walk in as it is circular. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu was being revamped so there were some things that were not available, this wasn't much of an issue as the selection was still good. I had ordered a burger and was not disappointed. To me a good measure of how good a restaurant is by checking out their homemade coleslaw, this didn't disappoint and neither did any of the meals that out party of four ordered. Everything looked good and tasted awesome. Prices are reasonable too. Would recommend and would visit again.

Called in for a bite to eat on a Friday lunch time. Easy to park, quickly seated and promptly served. My wife and I had a wrap and a coffee. Came with chips and a nice bit of salad. Must say was delicious. Great value for money. Polite and efficient staff. Will certainly be back.

Popped in here for a meal with the kids on Easter Sunday, expected it to be very busy but it was quiet. Staff nice and friendly so no complaints there. The food and drinks were not great though. I was driving so just ordered a diet coke. It came in a Pepsi glass, it was flat at didn't taste like diet coke, probably Pepsi which I don't like. Youngest child wanted the sausages kids meal. They were small Cumberland sausages which she didn't like (what kid does?) and were barley cooked. She used to get them in here all the time and never had a problem as they were good. I got a gammon steak, it was dry and tough. Other daughter had the fish which she said was nice hence the two stars in place of one. Went to pay the bill to find out they no longer to Amex as they have new machines. Overall this place isn't as good as it used to be and we won't be in a hurry to rush back anytime soon.

Was really good. It's hard to find a place that makes a really good steak pie and it was also real pastry. Real veg as well and not frozen stuff. I had the lighter portion which was big enough for me. My husband had scampi which he said was lovely. The other member of our family had gammon steak he got a huge ammount he said his dinner was fine. We then all had white chocolate, tablet and shortbread cheesecake. Sublime. Mmm

This was my first visit here. The wife and I had an invite to an 18th birthday party. We arrived early and were immediately seated and furnished with our drinks order. The menus were on the table to peruse. From an extensive choice of food I chose lentil soup, a 20oz rump steak and sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. The soup was piping hot as it should be with a nice home made flavor. The steak was the piece de resistance well presented with onion rings mushrooms a peppercorn sauce and cooked tomato. The steak was cooked to perfection. The chefs sticky toffee pudding and home made ice cream was a delight. The sticky toffee pudding was a generous portion for £4.50. All the staff were so helpful and friendly they contributed to a good night. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely return.

We visited tonight with my Mum, our kids and our neice to celebrate my Mum's retirement, we had pre booked and on arrival were shown straight to our table and immediately offered drinks.

Hi, We visited on Feb 28th with my husband's parents at lunch time, unfortunately my mother in law had the cajon fish with the chilli and lime butter sauce but sadly no sauce in sight and it was very dry ☹️
