10/10 everything was amazing all staff friendly and really nice,a young lad called finlay was amazing on the bar at souch a young age!!also had a sense of humour with my son aswell

Whatever you do in this pub do not eat the food especially the chicken burger and chips, absolute rubbish. Certainly not edible. Reheated food for sure.

This is a perfect pub for a pint, lunch, evening meal or just a brew by the side of the bay! Plenty of staff, customers, smiles. Delish food, busy over weekends and holidays but open all day for food.

OK, this is a poor rating, but let's get this out of the way first, they were really good fish and chips, a nice meaty fish, crisp batter, good chips, mushy peas were, well, mushy peas and the curry source very nice, spicier than average.... Why the poor rating you ask? Well, we visited on a Friday evening, around 6:30pm at the end of half term week, there were a few people waiting for orders ahead of us, but it certainly wasn't busy. Our order was taken promptly through the hatch when we arrived and we were told they would give us a shout when ready... The wait, 42 minutes!!!!! I'm not sad enough to time it, but once I started getting bored with the wait, I could see the transaction time on my phone, gradually counting up to 42 minutes ago!! That's for 2 fish and chips, 2 sausage and chips and some peas and source. Honestly, you'd think they would be expecting customers at that time, but there was one guy by himself, taking orders and cooking/serving. Unfortunately, he was completely loosing track of order too, and we saw our fish and chips (not knowing they were ours), sat on the side waiting for several minutes before he finally shouted us. They were such good fish and chips we'd probably go again, but I'd certainly ask the wait time before ordering!!

Was here during fortress festival and they had a take away menu with a decent selection. Quality was poor though. The burger patty was a dry, slightly burned lump of meet and the fries were the worst I ever had. As if somebody just let Frozen fries thaw at room temperature. I did not even dare to try the substance that identified as cole slaw.

Came in for a couple of meals over the long weekend. First visit both had the Parmo, one being the spicy Parmo. Both very nice & extremely filling. Second visit on Steak night, 2 steak meals with a bottle of wine for £30. Had a side order of garlic king prawns which were very nice with the perfectly cooked steaks. The Resolution is consistently good value for money & the staff are great, you can always have a laugh with them.

I came here during each visit from Canada and we were just getting ready to return again. I am just shocked to find out that they have closed permanently and I can only live with my memories. I wanted to bring my wife there for what I hoped would be another incredible weekend. I can only hope the very best for the family and say thanks for all of the memories and the fantastic bar towels that I still have after 20 years Thank you. Muchas gracias. Hvala, arrigoto, Merci,

My friend and I called in today. It was a cold, wet bleak day and we just wanted to get away from the weather and have something to eat. The young lady who greeted us was polite and friendly. We ordered two vegetarian breakfasts and drinks. The food arrived very promptly, was piping hot and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Kate and Andy for amazing service. Just before posting a review I checked out other reviews, we had a totally different experience than some of the reviews, trust me we are fussy! Only didnt give 5 because it was a little chilly . BUT We will be back.

Estábamos caminando de costa a costa en uno de los días más ventosos y húmedos imaginables. No estábamos alojados en el Arncliffe Arms, sino que simplemente vinimos para salir de la lluvia. El propietario era el epítome de una gran hospitalidad. Se encendieron los radiadores e insistió en que secáramos nuestra ropa por todo el pub. No pudo haber sido más amable. La sopa era increíble. Hermana reservó nuestra comida del sábado por la noche en el Highlander Bar en la Explanada en Scarborough para nuestro grupo de seis. Cuando aparecimos no sabíamos qué esperar. Era un ambiente de Pub real, no hay problema y había habido una fiesta de cumpleaños, así que era un poco animado, pero un par de mesas se habían reservado para nosotros, así que nos sentamos y conseguimos las bebidas clasificadas. Whoo hooo hermosa pinta de Guinness de tiro extra frío para los suyos en verdad, el descanso tenía otras cervezas y cosas gaseosas. Estábamos echando un vistazo al menú y la señora señaló The Creamy Garlic Mushrooms para empezar y tengo que admitir que son uno de mis favoritos y a menudo mi mayor decepción. No así aquí, estaban fantásticos y venían con un poco de masa madre tostada, perfecto. Cuñado tenía Sopa de Verduras Casera (ligeramente grumosa pero llena de sabor) Sis tenía Doritos de Queso, hechos perfectamente, otros dos no querían entrantes. Tres de nosotros teníamos Scampi, Chips y Guisantes (Jardín o Mushy) Uno tenía hígado estofado y cebollas con puré de patatas, Uno tenía carne y pastel de patatas con judías verdes, zanahorias, guisantes de jardín y patatas fritas y finalmente uno tenía pescado y patatas fritas con Mushy Peas. Comida : - Todos los entrantes que tuvimos fueron excelentes y decentes porciones 10 / 10 Los scampi mains se cocinaron perfectamente con excelentes papas fritas y buenas porciones de guisantes o guisantes mushy 10 / 10 Pescado y patatas fritas y guisantes, de nuevo cocinados a la perfección 10 / 10 Pastel de carne y patata, patatas fritas y guisantes de jardín muy bueno, pero la carne en el pastel estaba ligeramente seco alrededor del borde cortado, pero todavía muy sabroso 9 / 10 ¿Volvería, por supuesto? A pub that looks big from the outside but which is cosy and small inside with two small bars and a selection of regulars having a quiet drink. This is a proper pub offering a menu which is above the basics that you’d expect and with friendly staff. The weather had suddenly turned from late summer to autumn and so the steak and ale pie and chicken and leek pie were the chosen main courses and really very good too. In fact I’d suggest that they were some of the best pies I’ve had when it comes to being full of meat and not having soggy pastry, full pies too, not this casserole with a puff pastry top malarkey. Definitely worth stopping in here for a hearty meal and good ales from Daleside and Rudgate brewery were most welcome accompaniments.
