Good location, sat and watched the world go by. Good selection of drinks. Didn't get chance to eat but food did look good.

Tried this cafe last year and found the cappuccino was lukewarm and served with no teaspoon or saucer, decided to try again recently and same again lukewarm cappuccino, no saucer and teaspoon (I like to spoon out the froth) and poor service, my friend was basically ignored at the service counter. There were many tables waiting to be cleared with staff in no hurry to do so. Won't be going again.

The breakfast that we had was very good, but the experience was spoiled by the fact that dogs are allowed in the Cafe. We really didn't like seeing a dog being fed sausages on the next table to us, when we were eating breakfast.

Delicious, hot, tasty food, we built our own burgers! Really good value, we will visit again.

Service was bad, and we have given burnt pizza.

The lady at the door, very scary, no smile, went to the bar, and we were just stared at...staff looking at each other and looking at us, no acknowledgement or just good manners to welcome customers. We wanted to eat here but the tables were filthy. My husband left with someone else's dinner on his arms. Change your ways guys. Hi, and thank you for responding. We came in at approximately 7pm on Wednesday 14th August. My husband joined me and my son soon after. The lady who seemed to be in charge was the one we refer to as at the door, she was coming out of the door as we were coming in. Someone else was coming out first and struggling with the door. We tried to help her. Then the member of staff came to door, we thought she came to help, but she actually went out of the door, whilst giving an angry looking frown towards us. None of the tables around us were clean (including our table). Later a man came and sat at the table to the right of us, the same staff member clearly knew the man. She went to his table smiling, had a chat, then went and got a cloth and cleaned his table, then sat down with him chatting, laughing and smiling. Leaving all the other tables still covered in food and unwiped. The only smile we saw from any member of staff throughout our visit was when this lady was sitting with her friend chatting. We decided to leave and go somewhere else where we'd feel welcome. It's a shame because we have eaten here before and really enjoyed the food. We are not visitors to the area, we live here, so you are also losing regular customers from this really poor customer service.

Went when it was really busy before Korn at the open air theatre. Good atmosphere and drinks. Only downside only 2 loos for the ladies!!

It was busy when we went in but the staff were efficient, helpful and pleasant. Food was fantastic too.

Visited for some lunch before heading to the beach. They’d sold out of quite a few things on the menu, we’d hoped for pizza so went for Napolitana Penne and a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry wrap with fries. It was ok, expensive for what it was, however. The pasta could’ve been hotter in temperature and the mozzarella cheese came grated which looked out of a packet rather than ‘fresh’ as stated, the wrap was very cranberry heavy and the chips could’ve been cooked a bit more. The staff were ok, we were greeted with a frown however they seemed a little stressed. It was super busy and no one checked if our meals were ok but the turnover of people here was high and it was rammed, clearly quite a popular place although restaurant choices very limited here. Nicely decorated although a little disappointed with our personal experience.

Called in for lunch with my coeliac daughter and the team went out of their way to put something gluten free together for her. Can't thank them enough

Very nice evening meal, sat in the open bifold door area with a lovely view of the front. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the portions of a decent size. Will definitely be back

Called in this morning for breakfast. Not impressed at all both bacon sandwiches were full of the black bits of whatever they cooked it on couldn't eat it. It could do with a good clean.

We visited to celebrate a friends post wedding “hen party” We contacted the business who accommodated us perfectly and delivered the most amazing afternoon tea which was served on mini picnic benches that fitted the venue perfectly The food is just incredible, the staff superb, nothing too much trouble and the location is second to none on Scarborough north bay. So if you are looking for a modern venue, with excellent food, superb service and the best view ever then definitely make a visit if you are in the area!

Taylor's Bar and Grill exceeded all expectations with their fantastic bottomless brunch. The food was OUTSTANDING and great value for money! The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Highly recommended!

I had a Meat Feast pizza which was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The battery on my phone was very low so they let me charge it behind the bar while I was there. I had my dog with me and she was looked after and given a bowl of water. Happy Days at Taylor's Bar and Kitchen.

Caught the bus up to North Shore and decided to eat here. To be fair I wasn't over whelmed with the menu choices and it was debatable if we'd try else where. Decided to stay and ordered lasagne ( not my go to) The staff were so lovely and I was pleasantly surprised with how good my food was. The lasagne was perfect with a generous amount of additional parmesan. Not a fan of chunky chips but these were hot, tasty and crisp. This was accompanied with a lovely crisp salad. I stepped out my go to favourites and thoroughly enjoy what I ordered. Will definitely come back on my next visit. Also a good view from the window seat

Great food and all lovely view. We stopped for lunch. , Pizza and gammon egg and chips. The food was nice,hot and tasty. The service was fast and friendly. We also had a little lovely sea view.

Hate to be critical as really enjoy this place for a chilled drink but the food is sadly not great.

We had a big group lunch and the experience was great. Really easy booking everything with Chelsea and on the day Sam was just fantastic. Thoroughly recommend.

We visited on a very sunny Sunday. Despite it being very busy the staff were lovely and the food came quickly. Fish and chips were are very good size. Burgers were lovely, the build a burger menu means you can get exactly the burger you want. Fish came with chunky chips Burger came with fries, as the menu says. Both were tasty, golden and well cooked. The kids menu had enough choice and the Burger came with a plenty of fries.

My day was really ruined by the lady at the till. When it was my turn to order, she asked the person behind me for his order even though she saw that I was waiting. Not to mention the attitude and the loud voice when she was taking my order.

We called in on Sunday teatime chancing our luck and the staff made space for our two families and made us feel really welcome. Above all we were really impressed that the lady setting up our table made specific reference to a table near us being booked for people with a dog and asked whether there were any allergies. My sister and I have quite severe allergies to dogs and it aggravates our asthma so eating in pubs and restaurants is getting increasingly difficult for us these days. We really appreciated the consideration!

Our trip to Scarborough wouldn’t be complete without a meal at Taylor’s. We’ve been coming here for a number of years and we’re never disappointed. The prime location helps make this place memorable, but also the food is good quality and reasonable sized portions. We visited twice during our 3 night stay. On the Sunday night there was a singer. This helped add to the lively atmosphere. We look forward to our next visit soon!

Very bad and arrogant attitude from service staff, not recommended, no manners at all towards the customers, disappointed.

We came today ( two adults, two children and one disabled OAP ) and were amazed with the wonderful service and delicious food. I had the chicken burger with bacon and cheese and it was the BEST burger I have ever had! We also had sausage and chips, a cheese burger and a plain burger. The portions were huge and came promptly. My elderly mother is disabled and they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable which was greatly appreciated. Staff were friendly and polite. We will absolutely be returning. Thank you so much!

The staff were helpful sadly the food let us down. Don't know if it is a local thing but the chips that came with the meal were refried several times and looked and tasted burnt.

We were in a group and found seats available, good view across the bay ,one thing that I can say ,the toilets a bit too far away ,and up two flights of stairs.

The food was okay, I did enjoy it though there wasn’t much flavour within the dish. Service was terrible the girls that serviced us, were talking about personal matters while cleaning our table. Told one of my party to ‘do me a favour take these chips upstairs’. While she remade a drink that had bits floating in it. They had a not caring attitude and didn’t ask us if our food was okay. Both the girls were bickering while cleaning the table, to me that isn’t appropriate for a dinning experience.

Visited for an impromptu lunch. The bar is nice and clean and although busy, it didn't feel crowded. Quite enjoyed the food although the chilli was very watery, which was disappointing. The lasagna was delicious.

Simply put fantastic place to relax and have a drink with all the family including the dogs staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, simply brilliant

It's a really friendly bar with good food and helpful staff. It is a shame the middle of the bar has a monstrosity of a table with cheap tatty foliage that is completely unsafe as it is not secure to the floor with the potential to over balance and hurt staff and customers. Poor design by the owners. It is a health and safety hazard.

Food very good at a reasonable price. Staff polite,but professional. Beautiful views across north bay. If there is a down side, too many dogs inside the restaurant for my liking.

Good, quick food service, well presented, good portions, quality food. Staff are aware when serving others, and acknowledge you. At least 10 products on draught. Good sized and range of tables. Dog friendly.

The fish and chips was very nice said the fish was a bit small then usually so got bread and butter not sure how big the fish is but it was plenty for what we go. The staff very welcoming.

Been in here numerous times for drinks and always enjoyed it but last night 12 of us went for food. Absolutely delicious. We all got starters and mains from the extensive menu. Portion sizes were excellent and the food is so fresh and tasty. I got chicken goujons to start followed by haddock and chips. Both were really nice. The batter melted in the mouth. Highly recommended.

Went in for a light lunch, chilli on a jacket potato, a cheese wrap with chips, both kids bought from kids menu, pepperoni pizza and chicken nuggets. Plenty on the plates, tasty and hot. Kids meals are really good value.

Busy bar, thanks to the sun trap outdoor space. Good selection of cider on draft, better than the usual offering. We found seating without a table outside, using the wall for drinks.

I booked the restaurant for 70 adults and children as part of a weekend away with our swim club. I could not fault the restaurant for accommodating us all. They were so helpful. The food was good and reasonably priced- lots of choice for kids and adults alike. Good position on the seafront on the North Bay. The atmosphere was buzzing and we all had a great time. Good selection of food, decent price for quality hot food

Generous portions, but average food.

We visited last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, but they let themselves down this year. I asked about havinf the sizzling king prawns with no chilli and was told they could do it with garlic oil, great i thought, until it came out. The 'crusty bread' was some pieces of very soggy, limp ciabatta. The salad consisted of rocket and red onion, no cucumber or tomato at all. The Prawns although plentiful were in low quality olive oil with a little butter and some red onion, no garlic at all, and they were not at all enjoyable. Most people may not notice but i have worked in catering for many years and it was a complete fob off to put onions in olice oil and call it garlic oil. My husbands burger was also very basic, different to lasy years food. Surprisingly the drinks were okay, although the choice again is basic. The place would be a gold mine in the summer with a good cocktail menu and coco-cola instead of pepsi (personal preferance, most bars sell pepsi on draught and bottles or cans of coca cola) with the fantastic view it has. I will not be going back, it's gone to far down hill.

Dog and child friendly. We had a nice full English breakfast and coffee. The staff were helpful and a lot of choice on the menu.

Couldn’t fault this place! First time visiting whilst in Scarborough and actually went three times! Burger was the best burger I’ve ever had, we had breakfast one morning which was yummy and really good value and then we saw the Pizzas on our first visit and couldn’t resist going for one instead of cooking!! Oh my life they were amazing and again such good value. Overall would recommended a visit here even for just a drink as has a lovely atmosphere. Shout out to the staff for being so lovely and always happy to help!

Can't praise the staff enough, efficient, very friendly and food was lovely.They tried to accommodate our two older relatives as best as they could (seating us downstairs and lower seating ) Had quite a few meals there this weekend 😋 and no complaints at all. Fab service and excellent food at Taylor’s, staff were so welcoming especially Jill who was so friendly and helped us to organise a taxi to get back to our Campsite. Great find during our weekend stay in Scarborough and if we visit the Town again we will definetely visit Taylor’s again.

Had evening meal and breakfast while parked up on seafront with motrorhome. Brilliant service we dropped in with 6 of us and they got us a table. Staff were brilliant. Food was great and price very reasonable.

Fabulous bar which served extremely tasty freshly made meals from their menu which offered a huge range of choices to suit even the fussiest of diners. 5 empty plates. Could not fault any of the 5 different meals we purchased. The drinks choice was also fabulous especially the huge variety of milk alternatives. All staff we encountered were so polite and friendly. Lastly... Cakes... WOW. Just amazing.

Food and service was amazing would have scored higher for atmosphere except for the 6 drunks upstairs shouting and yelling for the duration of our meal.

I have been to Taylor’s quite a few times and every time it’s been a great experience. The customer service is fab and the food is spot on. Generous portions and is served quickly. Definitely recommend!

Had the fish and chips with a nice IPA. Highly recommended it.

Recently went to Taylor’s as they were hosting a charity event. The vibe was brilliant, so friendly and amazing views over the North Bay. We got two of their pizzas and some sides which were really nice and great value for money! It was very dog friendly so we are looking forward to returning next time we take the dogs down to the beach for a walk.

I recently did a friend’s baby shower upstairs in the private area for 20 people and it was fantastic. The buffet provided was amazing and you got so much for a very reasonable price. Would definitely book again for a party and food 😊

Freezing cold place!!! Overheard some quite racist comments towards a couple dining the other night,whilst sat with family. We decided not to dine here, ordered a takeaway and had a better family time in the holiday apartment at the Sands. Management and front of house staff " fagging it nearby outside frequently" Hearing unprofessional comments whilst they were walking through the sitting area. Not professional at all! Very badly run place sorry to say. Apalling to say the least. AVOID!

Fabulous welcome from the friendly staff which was lovely and the breakfast was delicious, there is the ordinary size or the ‘belly buster’, we had one of each and they were huge and tasty. The bonus of a sea view makes this place a must. Dog friendly too! Can’t wait to return!

You can't beat concrete eggs and you can't beat Taylor's Bar. Service excellent and the view is super. You can enjoy a relaxing drink and watch the world go by.

Great selection of food and drink all day at a fair price. Lovely views of the Castle and sea. Staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. The only thing we didn't like was several TV's on all the time showing news and sport. One area for this would have been enough.

We stopped for a drink and possibly food. We arrived at 11:30hrs when they stop the breakfast menu. They restart at 12:00hrs for lunch. We had coffee and a mocha. Nice Dog friendly. We have eaten in the past. Noticed the prices have increased but to be expected.

Just love this place. So dog friendly and the coffee is good. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. They seem to have regular customers coming in with their dogs. The atmosphere is always buzzing and friendly. It's just lovely sitting and watching the world go by through the large windows. The ciabta bacon roll was delicious. If you want to meet people and dogs this is the place to go. Sooooo friendly.

Our "go to" for a casual lunch when in Scarborough. Always efficient service, always good food. And it's dog friendly, so we get to say hello to them too!

We went in because our usual place was closed for refurbishment. There was a wide ranging menu from I ordered fish and chips, which arrived after about 15mins. It was exceptional. The fish was a good portion, clearly very fresh, beautifully cooked and tasty, wrapped in the crispiest and lightest batter. The chips were superb and the mushy peas excellent. There was also a lettuce garnish which had delicious dressing on it. I couldn't fault the food in any way. The fish and chips were as good as any I have tasted.

If you want to watch waves during a winter storm, this is the place to do it. When we asked for the nachos to be reheated, the server graciously apologised and brought a new plate immediately.

Right on the beach front with a good view. Slightly expensive due to it being in such a prime / great location.

Poor quality of food, bad taste, very low quality with tourists prices for them. There is lots more better places to eat, I will NOT revisit, and do not recommend to anyone with decent taste buds.
