We had a nice English breakfast for the start of our walk. Not the best ever perhaps, but enjoyable and open at 7:30. Prices are reasonable, but cash only

Simply superb and an absolute bargain Belly Buster. we went two days running. 10 of us first time and 8 family members the next. If you are old enough to know who Charlie Drake was...wait until you meet the host, Mike. Shirley in the kitchen and front of house takes no prisoners. Superb, honest, down to earth, friendly, fresh, no hassle choice breakfast(s)

Have reviewed this cafe before and to be honest nothing has changed. The staff were friendly and the 2 breakfasts we had were basic but ok . Like I said in my last review don’t expect haute cuisine and it’s ok

One word. Shocking. Owner and staff very very rude. Total muppets that couldn’t run a bath. Why on earth he thinks it’s acceptable to speak to people the way he does is ridiculous.

Ordered a small breakfast which was 1 of each item and included toast and a mug of coffee, a well done sausage butty and a small milky coffee all for £6.30 The food was hot and delicious - went in the next day for the special breakfast, which was 2 of each item including toast and a mug of coffee and I had a mug of coffee and the sausage sandwich and it came to £8.50 - we checked the menu out and all the meals were £5 and children meals were £3. Staff were very friendly Its cash only

This cafe does exactly what it says on the tin , it’s a CAFE so don’t expect haute cuisine . The decor is basic but the staff very nice and cheerful and the 2 full breakfasts we had were nice and for the money no complaints from us we would go again.

Went in this morning for the first time with my dog Roxy got a lovely welcome & got mug of coffe & toast ( thick bread ) all for £1.50,it was lovely & you won’t find anywhere nicer & cheaper many thanks will be going again & again

In the North Bay, away from the front on North Marine Drive, freshly cooked, hearty breakfasts for great value prices. Owner, staff and friends great characters Small breakfast at £3.50 including drink was enough for us. -we tried the next one up but couldn't finish it

Fairway cafe is in my road the food is great, I believe it just has 2 people working here at any given time! reasonably priced and cash only but most people who eat here are regulars and know this before hand, or it's clearly marked on the door! Quite busy in the morning with the tradesmen grabbing at bite before work! So if you want a quick in and out meal I'd recommend after 9am! There is takeaway and preorder service so would definitely recommend to anyone looking for breakfast lunch or dinner!

We called in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised, very friendly. I asked if I could have poached eggs and I could, husband asked for cheese on toast and bacon and yes again. When it came the eggs were cooked to perfection in a pan and I enjoyed them immensely, the cheese on toast was good as well. Cash only but we didn't mind. Would certainly come here again if in the area.

Member of staff sat outside prior to starting work, I watched her smoke at least two cigarettes, then started working without washing hands. Doesn't suggest the strictest of hygiene practices. Food was average at best.

Absolutely atrocious!!!! Slow service, and very unorganised in the kitchen. A couple was seated before us and didn’t get their food until we were nearly done!! Food wasn’t great at all. Upon asking for the bill we find out that they do not accept card payment - this was not stated anywhere inside or outside the cafe, no cash points nearby, man on the till was very rude!

Cheap and delicious. A lovely, friendly cafe with excellent value for money. So cheap but tastes. A very friendly owner who accommodates changes to your breakfast. Friendly staff and great vibes. Will be back

Called in for breakfast. Was given a coffee while I waited for it cooking. The coffee was weak and lacked flavour. I had the 'tummy buster' breakfast. Lots on the plate....piled up, and looked a mess. The sausages were budget ones....not very meaty, and mushy. The mushrooms werent cooked. The toast is 'buttered' with some sort of butter substitute. Making the lightly toasted bread, wet and soggy. It was cheap...£5:30....and it tasted cheap. I wont be back.

Called in here for breakfast, the place is clean and tidy the breakfast was very good, and this was one of the few places I have been to that knows how to cook a proper fried egg!

Enjoyed our breakfast here. We ordered the "special" size breakfast. The food was nice and hot and cooked fresh there and then but my husband didn't want tomatoes with his and was not offered extra beans or anything as a substitute which wasn't so good. Was a nice place and the man was friendly but the girl helping out seemed a bit unsociable. Could perhaps have a radio or something on quietly as it too quiet.

Popped in on way from hotel to town centre for breakfast, ordered at counter and took about 10 mins to come, was a nice breakfast if not big for the special and no substitute as i did not want tomatoes,Was overall good but the girl serving was a bit to quiet and never spoke or reacted to us but the ccok was chatty, she was a nice girl tho and good at her job so not a gripe ****

Lovely breakfast and coffee for a very good price . Cooked fresh and very tasty will be back tomorrow. Nice friendly people running it too.Probably back on Monday too before driving home !

We’ve been coming here for about 3 years now - whenever we are in Scarborough. It’s clean, tidy, Michael is very welcoming and polite and nothing is too much trouble. It’s honest cooked food and done with love. You’d be mad not to try it!

Before leaving from our mini holiday in Scarborough we decided to have a full English breakfast and came across this gem round the corner from our apartment. Massive choice of breakfasts from 'bacon baguettes' ' to a whole choice of cooked breakfasts...you name it and it was probably there ! We ordered two mini 'full' breakfasts and one vegetarian . All came with a mug of hot tea or coffee or soft drink plus lovely thick buttered toast. Very tasty ! Noticed it was popular with local tradesmen...a place with no frills and you get what you ask for ! Very clean cafe and toilets. Friendly owner who accommodated my 8 year old grand daughters request of an extra sausage instead of tomatoes without question ...plus a cheery goodbye !

Me and my husband had breakfast at the Fairway Cafe today and it was delicious.My husband had the Belly Buster and i had the smaller breakfast..Don't confused by the word 'small' it was more than ample.Cooked fresh to order,hot and tasty in a well set out a spacious little cafe.The price was brilliant..and worth every penny.There are other main meals like Scampi,chips and salad and sandwiches etc..We will definitely be back.I told the owner i will tell everyone i know to go there and i will..It's a little gem of a cafe.

Cheerful friendly prompt service. Premises were clean and bright. Basic ingredients - exactly what you would expect - but freshly cooked and arrived steaming to the table. Good choice and good value - would recommend.
