Why do you advertise barista coffee then serve it out of a pushbutton machine?? A waterery warm apology for a cappuccino! Disappointing to say the least

Great food. Sitting in the sunshine outside with spectacular views. Often watching dolphins in the sea. A wonderful place.

Recommended to us by Peasholme vegan b and b. We ordered aubergine fritters, vegan hearty stew (with dumplings) and some onion rings. They’re small portions but great to fill a gap until dinner time. Found all the staff helpful and pleasant.

Had food here twice now lovely would recommend shame they only open late on shownights

The food we had here was inedible. The chicken wasn’t cooked. When we spoke to the supervisor she said the kitchen staff were in a rush to leave. My food was raw and dripping.

We went for breakfast after CrossFit and weren't disappointed. I had the shakshuka and a flat white; good value, lovely view and scrummy food

Full English Breakfast on Friday morning whilst spotting ‘Feeder’ band members. A couple of burgers and drinks on Saturday night. Great food and service.

Enya was an amazing Host and looked after us whilst we visited the Bar. The food was good, and the service was prompt.

A stylish bar/restaurant within the walls of Scarborough spa theatre & complex. A decent menu is on offer. It can get very busy when shows are scheduled & during holiday times.

Absolutely amazing. It's Saturday and there are so many people. The staff are superb, busy but smiling and accommodating too. We ordered 3 small plates to share and the food was sublime. Even though it's heaving, we only had a short wait for the food to arrive. Will absolutely be coming back. I just need to make up excuses to visit Scarborough.

The young man who served me, Bekir, was so polite, fast and efficient and very chirpy. He dealt with long queues on his own with speed and calm. Amazing! He was very careful to ensure he'd understood my slightly weird requests on my order and to react accordingly with my order! I watched him working as I ate my very delicious Veg Stew with sage dumplings 😋 Talk about whizz around! A great place with a great range of food. I love the small plates idea. Nice staff and very comfortable seats! Thanks Bekir and all the team! I'll be back! Maggie, a very satisfied customer!

We just sat outside for coffee, but, although it has a bit of grandeur, you still have to order and pay inside. Is that Brittish? Or only at beach side? Anyway coffee took quite long and after my wife had hers, we had to ask were mine was, before we got it

Helpful staff, yummy food and very handy location

Nice place to visit but food was quite bad, I had 3 little plates of Yorkshire and nothing was fresh, bread was burned and beef was hard as rock. My dogs enjoyed it tho. Fish and chips seemed good, so go for that if you visit.

On my own single trip love the scarb spa its so peaceful at this time of the year i grabbed a delish hot choclolate to take out and sat on the wall listening to the sea waves love it

Just a hot chocolate, but was very good

Food was fairly basic, way overpriced. Tried several “little plates of Yorkshire”. Menu stated “brioche roll” but came with a basic white roll, no butter content. Crab had a funny taste, and included small pieces of shell. £5 for one “swaledale” sausage (basically a small Cumberland)? No thanks.

Not sure what the food was like as we cancelled our order after waiting over an hour for soup and two burgers and no-one could tell us how much longer our order would take. In fairness, there was an event on at The Spa and they were busy but the wait was unacceptable and if we had been told that we'd have to wait so long, we would have gone elsewhere.

Needs a bigger menu but great place

We called in hoping to get a sandwich for lunch but they don't do them. We therefore had the vegetable soup with ciabatta and herb croutons. The soup was piping hot, as was the ciabatta. Too hot to handle at first. Three butters were very good and spread easily on the hot bread, then proceeded to drip everywhere. It was a tasty lunch and a change from sandwiches, though it would be nice to see a selection of sandwiches on the menu, for those who don't want a full meal. Very pleasant place to sit despite the slight shuddering from the crashing waves. I know empty chairs need stacking somewhere but not restricting a fire exit.

Went there for the Gay Pride event. The atmosphere was out of this world and there was something for everyone. Entertainment inside and out was amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting this wonderful seaside destination.

Had a great meal overlooking Scarborough Bay on a sunny day. The meal was really nice, menu had plenty of different things on offer. Staff friendly and very efficient even on the busy day that it was.

Food was OK but overpriced for what you got. Nice place but not enough tables for everyone. We managed to get seated but 10 minutes later there was a huge queue inside and people were stood right next to our table waiting for the bar. It got a bit uncomfortable due to being space invaded.

A modicom of calm at the end of the south bay. Nice old building, decent food with no sachets. Good veiw across the bay. Cheerful staff. Not bad at all. 👍

It is a great sea front location with history and style adjacent to the Spar in Scarborough. A good selection of lite bites and other meals, and a well stocked bar. Pleasant service from smart staff.

Like this place, but went today and was very disappointed, had chicken salad, with extra Cajun, chicken was over cooked and dry, croutons were hard as and inedible, hate complaining but was very disappointed ☹️

We have been here so many times when visiting Yorkshire. Love the breakfast, coffee. Our dog is always welcome.

Lovely setting for a coffee and a natural break on the North Bay to South Bay and back walk. Coffee was lovely, food was available but we were not hungry.

My friend and I popped in with our dogs for a coffee for us and doggy sausages for the dogs. Quick service nice table on the veranda, water bowl for the dogs nice touch. Only down being hounded by other customers to vacate the table.

Nice bar. Happy staff . Plenty of seats inside and out on a midweek visit.

Called for the first time and ate breakfast, which was great. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and the service was quick and efficient. Great to be able to have the dogs with us and the early morning atmosphere was good. Will visit again in the future.

Family order, several different things, everything absolutely primitive and disgusting, I have never left so many uneaten things in a restaurant. The burger was probably made from leftovers from the previous day, the meat is probably better even at McDonalds. No sauce in the burgers! Coleslaw… I guess someone doesn't know how to do it. In addition, the service was mediocre at dealing with a small number of people, and also took the order incorrectly and served too little, which meant we had to wait longer.

Went twice on sunny days and sat outside. Tables slow to be cleared and confused when bringing food to the tables who had ordered. Fantastic views and has entertainment on some evenings, I believe.

Food is amazing. my weekends would not be complete without my 2 black puddings and eggs on toast. My wife loves their eggs royal too. Really lovely hard working staff, always make us feel welcome.

Partner had haddock and chips which he said were lovely, grandson had homemade chicken nuggets which looked really good. Tower burger for me which was ok. The salad etc was lovely and fresh but the burgers were quite ordinary and tasteless. Perfectly edible though and nothing wrong with cooking or presentation. Delicious coleslaw served with it.

You will be surprised how good this place is, the menu is limited in range, but wide on options, with gluten free highlighted, the staff are to a fault helpful, pleasant and supportive and the environment simply stunning.

Menu seems to be fairly static i.e. doesn't change much. Would probably visit more often if the menu was updated from time to time.

Being a local, it’s not a restaurant I would usually visit, but had family visiting this week, plus a dog, so it was great to sit outside in the sun and enjoy the view! The first visit we ordered the crab, fish and lamb sliders and a side of chips and halloumi fries, all was good! The second visit we had a jacket potato, chicken nuggets coleslaw and the mussels. Again all the food was good, but the mussels were let down by the weed, that had not been removed before cooking, which really spoiled an otherwise great dish. It’s a great place in a fabulous location, but with a little more attention to detail could be excellent!

Right on the sea front located within Scarborough Spa. Always busy on a sunny day, especially the outside seating. You can ask for plastic glasses and sit on the sea wall too. Food is good and the toilets are huge - no queues for them!

Was charge£8 for a pint of larger to be told "London prices catching up. Wife waited over 20 min's for a pot of tea which was orderd at the same time.The waiters looked like youngsters on work experience and kept bringing food to our table which we had not ordered..i will not be visiting this place again..Shame on you.

Gorgeous leek and potato soup with sourdough bread was just what we needed. It was quiet but I would imagine it gets quite busy in the main holiday season and weekends. Great that they allowed dogs on leads inside.

Regular Sunday breakfast my dog is also welcome after a brisk walk along the beach....staff are polite and always friendly with my dog and always supply him with a little treat.....

Right on the sea front at one end of Scarborough. Great food, drink. Helpful staff, friendly and quickly served. Outdoor and inside dining and a wide range of menu, reasonable to high ish prices. Good selection of wines and beers Great to sit out on a nice day watching the sea in this relaxed venue, away from the central busy areas. Really near the beach and cliffs walking. Car parking can get busy so best to walk to. Next to Spa Hotel and theatre so lots to see/do Gifts shops (a few) next door of the kids get bored :-) Would certainly recommend and well worth a visit. Thank you

Great place to eat during my day of plan air painting.

Called in for coffees but it was luke warm. Asked them to swap it & came back the same! Asked to swap again and waited 15minutes. They forgot us! Finally after asking again, it came & was hot. It wasn't even busy!!

Have visited Farrer's at The Spa on numerous occasions. Pleasant staff and efficient table service. Popped in for a cuppa and a slice of cake this time, the lemon and blueberry sponge was fabulous, moist and full of flavour - something quite different. Enjoy the location of Farrer's it is convenient being close to the south cliff lift and the beach. Like to sit outside and enjoy the sea view but a bit nippy this time so sat inside. Dog friendly.

This is a great place after a good walk along the beach. Dogs are welcome too which is a huge plus, especially in winter. Scones and coffee are very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful

Brilliant location but meal was cold and overly greasy and both felt quesy later despite not eating anything else. Waste of our money.

Lovely restaurant for breakfast/lunch. Staff are really friendly and helpful. We had the vegan breakfast on our visit which was excellent. Prices were really fair and would happily go back next time we're in scarborough.

Charmless service, where I was made to feel like I was bothering them, and disappointingly weak 'barista' coffee that comes from a machine.

Needs a little clean looks like when it was designed from way back in the 80s I'm guessing, must try harder scarborough, foods good good prices good service just a little shabby.
