I emailed Carly as I had previously been at lunch time and had a Brie and Bacon Panini and wondered if I could have one early evening. She was very helpful and also booked me a table for 4 people at 6.30 pm on the Wednesday. We were greeted by some lovely welcoming staff. We ordered drinks and then mains which consisted of. BBQ ribs with fries, Halloumi with fries, Sausages mash vegetables with a jug of gravy, Panini and fries. Two of us had dessert which was waffles and Eton mess. The food was well presented and delicious. Highly Recommend and will definitely be returning.

Came back to the Hare after reading all the good reviews since it’s been taken on by it’s new owners. The latest reviews were right. We received a lovely welcome and as it was early were given a choice of tables. Although all the starters looked lovely we took a peep at the dessert menu and decided to go for a main and dessert. I along with two others chose the sea bass which was cooked to perfection and finished off my evening with the dark chocolate mousse with salted caramel ice cream which was delicious. One of our party had the fish and chips which had amazingly crispy batter and was served with all the usual accompaniments including homemade tartare sauce. The customer service was excellent, very attentive. The prices I thought were comparable with other pubs in the area. We all said that we will definitely be returning.

Great coffee and food from full English to cakes even avocado on toast. My son was impressed with the quality and prices. It is quite often packed and quite noisy and many laptops/phones, one customer 4 seats. No easy solution. It’s still my go to cafe. Staff are efficient.

We have given this coffee shop enough chances now. Having been in the hospitality trade we appreciate the difficulties with staff and keeping customers happy but we have run out of patience. The last couple of times we have been in people have been waiting a long time for everything and staff don't seem to have the correct skills for the job. Today we waited 30 mins for 2 coffees and when the next order that was made wasn't ours we left. A young couple left as our order was taken as they had obviously not had theirs taken. It was not overly busy but seemed in chaos. We are now in Costa and got served within 5 minutes with conversation.marmalade do make good coffee but make sure you have a lot of tolerance if you go here

We called in here as I’d never been and thought we’d try it out. We ordered two cheese scones with butter and two coffees and sat in the garden. Our very small scones arrived before the coffees, We thought as we buttered our not very cheesy cheese scones that the butter had a strange texture, the coffees were very small and not that hot. As we sat chattering I noticed on the butter wrapper, ‘use by 6/6/23’ The date of our visit being Monday 19th June!! My friend caught the attention of the waitress and told her we’d just eaten two weeks out of date butter, she just said ‘Oh sorry, I’ll tell the kitchen’ We sat for another 15 minutes half expecting maybe a further apology from the kitchen but nobody came near us, so we left having spent £12.30 on two small un-cheesy scones, stale butter and two small warm coffees. Obviously there won’t be a return visit.

Despite what stupid people troll, the venue is perfectly set up to cope with dog visits, it’s called being inclusive! Owner met a dog, gave it a treat then washed his hands. Keyboard warriors post nonsense. We had the most delicious smoothie and were impressed with all the craft pts available too

Our regular morning coffee stop normally quite peaceful with outdoor seating in decent westher. Has a second hand book area, can be a little noisier on Saturday mornings when a lego session takes place

After his sailing, my son and I had Panini, chips and beans and a mug of tea, most welcome after a good sail. Out for a day on the water or just for a walk around the reservoir, Hackett's Harbour is a good place to stop for a hot drink or a filling snack.
