O my goodness what a find!! This bar is absolutely fantastic and second to none! We hired the upstairs room for my 40th and from start to finish the staff could not have done more for us! From thinking up special cocktails to serve to guests, to having our own playlist upstairs, to joining in the fun and merriment and generally being awesome! Nothing was too much for making it special on every level! Thanks DJ for getting the party started (with shots at the ready!) and to Henri and James for producing the best bar in town!!! Great atmosphere, unique cocktails and fab shots! I will be back for more fantastic cocktails and dancing!!

We like to go to independent cafes and were visiting Wantage today. Lovely friendly service, generous portions with wide selection of food to suit all tastes. I had the cheese ploughman's which consisted of 4 pieces of cheddar, mixed leaves, red pepper, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, homemade chunky coleslaw, pickled onions, pickle, baguette with butter. My husband had chicken and bacon jacket potato with salad. both dishes very generous and very reasonable total £16 with drinks.

Definitely the best cafe in Abingdon with super coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. The manager and staff always seem pleased to see me. My favourite place to go for a relaxing afternoon.

Myself and my hubby came to celebrate our anniversary, we had heard such good things about you and decided to give it a go last minute, we hadn't booked but the lovely receptionist managed to find us a table and we were seated, service good, food outstanding for the price! Drinks average, We will be sure to return

Sunday lunch. OK food. Nothing to rav about. The setting is fantastic. Worth a visit but lower your expectations so you are not disappointed.

Four of us visited on Easter Monday afternoon, three adults and one child. From the moment Heidi interacted with us as our server, I got a good feeling about how the meal was going to go. Nothing was too much trouble - slight edits to what came with each dish and advice on their content. My daughter ordered carrots assuming they would be carrot sticks but they were cooked (school meals have put her off cooked carrots for life), so when they arrived we said “oh no”. Before we needed to explain any further, Heidi had popped off to the kitchen and exchanged them for the raw variety. I really felt the front of house and the kitchen supported each other because both the service and the food surpassed expectations. That’s not often you can say that these days for a reasonably priced meal. When we gave our thanks and tip at the end of the meal, it was clear Heidi reflected this ethos as she explained tips are shared between all and it’s a true team effort. We will look forward to returning!

We had our brother's wake here recently. Sharon was amazing. The event was well managed and ran very smoothly and successfully. All the attendees praised the lovely food and fast service. A space was made available so could all be together. We would thoroughly recommend the Maybush

We went into the pub yesterday after a lovely walk around the woods and had a drink and lunch. We all (4 of us) had fish and chips and all said it was the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. The fish was freshly cooked with homemade batter and not frozen, the chips were chunky and delicious and the peas were so tasty! I don’t usually like tartare sauce but that was also very tasty, the service was good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and a friendly dog named Alan, on our way out we saw some guests having the roast dinner which I am definitely going to go back and try as that also looked and smelt delicious. I would definitely recommend this pub.

Fantastic Sunday Roast! All trimmings, loads of flavour, traditional cosy pub atmosphere, staff are lovely and attentive. Chef came out to make sure everyone was happy 🙌🏻 lovely garden area, great for bikers, cyclists and walkers. Reasonably priced and a bit of a celeb hot spot ;)
