I really love the Radnor and it's intimate , welcoming atmosphere. The space offers it up easily to make conversation with locals and visitors alike and I've had many an interesting chat and a good giggle here. Hayley is most welcoming and when not too busy will gladly deliver your pint to the table which is a rare service these days . Food great , only 4 stars as I haven't tried everything yet but I really hope to soon as it's a cracking menu !

I have no intention of destroying this business. I have been going to this pub for 30 years. I would love to see it thriving again. To clarify our unfortunate evening I booked a table over the phone. I asked if the king prawns and sourdough bread were on the menu. I was assured 100% by the bar manager that they were. When we arrived the booking had been made for the wrong evening and the prawns were not on the menu. The pub was empty apart from 2 people who left shortly after we arrived. It was cold and we were advised that the heating would be switched on. One small radiator to heat the whole room. There was no complaint from us regarding water. We ordered salt and pepper squid. When it arrived there were around 6 grey, rubbery squid rings in thin batter for £8 and no bread. We ordered bread as an extra and we were happy to pay for it. The squid was luke warm and we did complain about that. It was then reheated which made it tougher. It was only eaten because we had eaten little all day as we were so looking forward to the king prawns. When we asked for the bill we were told that there was 'no charge'. We did not refuse to pay. When we caught site of the 'new chef' he was wearing a woollen beanie hat and smoking. Not a very hygenic or professional look. In hindsight we should have left as soon as we arrived. Please take these comments as information in that at the moment, from a customers point of view, the fare that you provided is below an acceptable standard.

Went into the Radnor to meet up with friends. Did't realize it was a National Trust pub - we'd just been in the NT Coleshill estate, but there were no signs to the pub. It's a really friendly pub and the landlord and landlady were very welcoming. The pub is very cosy and has a lovely garden. The food was fabulous and they have a great menu. It's an ideal stop off on a bike ride; coffee and cakes to die for. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely pub! I was on a first date and had picked the place because online it looked nice and cosy for a drink and I was not disappointed. The pub is small and for a Saturday night it was pretty quiet but the decor, lighting and gentle playlist all created an intimate atmosphere. The bartender was also super friendly! I’ll definitely be coming back.

This is a pub that is in our favourite walking spot. We haven’t been since last summer due to an encounter with the rather rude landlord and landlady. We decided to come back as it’s such a lovely spot and somewhere we have taken the kids and dogs for years when walking here. We thought we’d give it another try. Big mistake. On entering the beer garden (where we were the only patrons) we were greeted by endless signs put up by the landlord stating we are being watched on cctv and children are not allowed to play in the garden. Extremely odd and not at all welcoming. As we walk here often we see that the pub is almost always empty. Such a shame as it really is a lovely spot but I am not surprised given the landlord’s clear dislike of dogs and children. Didn’t feel comfortable at all and this confirmed why we avoided the venue for such a long time. What was once such a thriving pub in a beautiful village is now a barron, lifeless and unwelcoming project by clearly unprofessional publicans. Wouldn’t recommend, go to the tea rooms down the road.

Not family friendly We arrived in the afternoon after a walk in the NT estate for a drink in the garden with our young children. We ordered at the bar inside and noted a CCTV surveillance screen with multiple live streams. Nonetheless we proceeded to garden where we were the only people. We then discovered we were being watched on the CCTV as on two separate occasions the staff came out from inside the pub to voice their somewhat strange overbearing opinions. The owner came out to tell our children to stop touching the wheelbarrow (don’t leave it next to the picnic benches) and the bar lady came out to tell us she was concerned about our 1 year old son who was playing on the grass as he ‘almost toppled over’. We were left uncomfortable at being watched, and found their behaviour somewhat creepy. Hence we left swiftly and will not return.

Really disappointing, and unreliable. Have tried and tried with this pub, and we really do want it to be a great local go to place. Sometimes they do food sometimes they don’t. Cold bar and a ‘snug’ they don’t let dogs in. It’s clear from the passive aggressive signs the landlord clearly doesn’t like dogs, there’s very little room if you do take a dog as you’re only allowed in one small space, and no dog bowls for water, leaving one customer trying to give his dogs a drink from a plastic pint glass. Feels like it’s managed from a distance as I can’t believe a live in landlord wouldn’t see what this place needs. It’s completely missing a trick, especially considering this is a popular dog walking area, and it probably explains why it’s never really busy when it should be. Add that to the fact that the owner has zero idea what the pub is trying to be, random decor with plastic plants and tacky furniture, completely at odds with the building and local heritage, looks like he did a shopping trip to Homesense and purchased everything in the clearance section. Clueless. This is supposed to be a country pub. Keep it classic and simple, light the fire and offer food, not a sign that says ‘sorry no food’.

We met our family here for a roast dinner. We were shown to a table in a very cold room, The heating was on but the fire was not lit and there was a cold draught through the french windows. We decided to east in the bar as it was a little warmer. as did the young family who arrived after us. The food was excellent but the little heating in the bar went off well before we had finished our meal and being cold spoiled the occasion. They were obviously trying to save money but will find less people go to this pub if they are cold. No one ate in the dining room whilst we were there between 1 and 3.30.

This is the second time we came in, as the first time I had brilliant food and service from a lovely young lady, I asked if she was the land lady, because I thought she was so professional and couldn’t do enough for us. We decided to come in the week between Christmas and New year, because I told friends how great the place is. We got there and were told it was a limited menu, ok, not great but that was fine. The service was so slow, young girl on her own. Didn’t seem like she wanted to be there, was told that there aren’t enough staff members. Unfortunately we will not be returning again. Food wasn’t a good as the first time either. Such a shame.

Visited after a walk with friends for a drink and lunch. We had booked a table but couldn’t go in the dining area as we had a dog with us. The dog friendly area is just 4 small tables in bar area. One inexperienced staff member working, draught beer not working and no idea why? Ordered food which was slow to arrive but good when it did apart from no sauces offered service very poor, we asked for condiments which arrived when we had finished. No one asked if our food was ok, one small sauce pot for one slammed on table. Shame really as would not go again or recommend to anyone. They are missing a trick too as so many dog walkers use the area.

We have visited the Radnor arms on many occasions and thought it a good opportunity to try again now there are new owners, as we love the sister pub, the Cricklade club. This National Trust pub has undergone a few changes in the last few years. However more recently it was supported by a community response to save it from closure. It’s aim is to provide a unique little pub using seasonal produce from local suppliers and beers, cider and gin from artisans. The veg comes from Coleshill Organics opposite and beers from local Butts and Hop Kettle breweries and they use Cotswold Cider. It’s funded by not for profit private investment and a crowdfund. They have an excellent team and talented chef in John, who cooks and bakes everything from fresh. The food is classic seasonal British pub food, with an emphasis on fresh and home cooked. It’s a couple of quid more than a chain pub, but the proof is in the pudding.! In my opinion they are doing an excellent job. It’s small and popular, so do book and if there’s anything you don’t like just flag it up, they are only too happy to help. Well done guys. Oh yeah, it’s also located in a stunning little National Trust village, Coleshill and Buscot Estate.

Don’t want to write this review really but the standard of food and service has gone massively down hill, the couple who ran it before Covid did a great job of making you feel welcome and the food was of a very high standard. The new team that seems different every time we have gone back make it feel very disorganised, nobody seems to have any passion or customer skills, the food has gone down to quite a poor standard and the prices up. We won’t be returning until we start hearing positive reviews again, this is a shame as we used to eat there a lot

I emailed Carly as I had previously been at lunch time and had a Brie and Bacon Panini and wondered if I could have one early evening. She was very helpful and also booked me a table for 4 people at 6.30 pm on the Wednesday. We were greeted by some lovely welcoming staff. We ordered drinks and then mains which consisted of. BBQ ribs with fries, Halloumi with fries, Sausages mash vegetables with a jug of gravy, Panini and fries. Two of us had dessert which was waffles and Eton mess. The food was well presented and delicious. Highly Recommend and will definitely be returning.

Family meal out waited ages just for menu's , plenty of staff just didn't seem coordinated which is sad really as it's a good venue with nice views over the river. Meals delivered but no follow up after if everything was OK just seem to be left ...again needs some coordination the staff just looked tired. The food was good and good value, child portions were very good. I've put average as a review due the service experience.

Four of us went for a preXmas lunch today and we can't speak too highly of our meal. The food was absolutely superb and our waiter, Jack, was very attentive and look after us so well. I've got to say that the Christmas pudding was the best I think I've ever had. We'll certainly be paying another visit soon.

Absolute gem of a cafe. Delicious food and the personal service really makes it a special visit. Keep going back as I'm always made to feel welcome and can't beat the food. Reasonably priced as well. Can't recommend enough!
