We called in here as I’d never been and thought we’d try it out. We ordered two cheese scones with butter and two coffees and sat in the garden. Our very small scones arrived before the coffees, We thought as we buttered our not very cheesy cheese scones that the butter had a strange texture, the coffees were very small and not that hot. As we sat chattering I noticed on the butter wrapper, ‘use by 6/6/23’ The date of our visit being Monday 19th June!! My friend caught the attention of the waitress and told her we’d just eaten two weeks out of date butter, she just said ‘Oh sorry, I’ll tell the kitchen’ We sat for another 15 minutes half expecting maybe a further apology from the kitchen but nobody came near us, so we left having spent £12.30 on two small un-cheesy scones, stale butter and two small warm coffees. Obviously there won’t be a return visit.

My friend and I went to the cafe for a meet up. I have been here before and did not order the toasted sandwich as it is always very hard. I ordered what was described as a caramalised onion tart. What was delivered was certainly not a tart. It was a savoury biscuit with a bit of onion relish on it. I ordered some bacon with it but it was certainly now worth the £13 I paid for it. The local Beefeater was advertising two good courses for £11.50. The menu here is a rip off. It is a shame as it is a nice little cafe to meet friends.

We arranged to meet up with a friend for catchup ordering a coffee, slice of cake, burger and child size lunch (consisting of salad sticks, fruit drink, a brownie). The coffee arrived with a bottle of Adams ale and 2 glasses. Time went by when we had to ask for the food the coffee was getting cold so a small jug of hot water was delivered. This wasn't a particularly busy period so couldn't reason the delay. Eventually everything started coming together. We enjoyed reminiscing and the time soon flew passed by. On returning home it occurred that the brownie hadn't materialised so had to return to collect it. The service could do with working on. The prices are steep

We have been regulars at Peach Croft Farm as we like the coffee and enjoy perusing the shop. Sadly yesterday we had a very disappointing visit and probably won't be back for food again. Visited with my 5 year old son who just wanted a cheese sandwich. They have no children's menu and we were made to feel awkward about asking them to not toast a cheese toastie! Surely not too much to ask? They then brought it out toasted so we had to send it back and reiterate that he doesn't like melted cheese. I had cauliflower soup... but was given a bowl of what tasted like blended cauliflower and water. I hate complaining and will usually put up with a but of a disappointing meal so as not to be a bother, but it was truly awful and so I told the waitress when I went to pay. There was no offer of a refund and the complaint was not dealt with well. We got stared at through the window by the kitchen staff as they were told that we made a complaint but no one came out to apologise. To top things off, the waitress then came out to nervously tell us that she had given us the wrong bill and we actually owed an extra £15! £30 on a bowl of crap soup with a scone, a cheese sandwich, a foccacia covered in jarred peppers, coffee and apple juice.... If they had dealt with the complaint properly I would not be writing a review, but after all the mistakes and no acknowledgement we left feeling very angry and ripped off. Mistakes get made and sometimes things aren't right, but staff need to be trained to deal with complaints properly as it can make all the difference.

Stopped in for lunch and although the food was tasty £16 for a small salad is just way too much. I was still hungry when I left. I’m not sure if this is the normal price for food here or if they have increased to make the most of the eat out to help out? Also no toilet facilities or inside seating.

I've had 2 attempts to get to the farm shop this week. Alas a tractor was blocking the entrance on Wednesday. My second attempt today Sunday was told it wasn't opening as they were just selling pumpkins. Come on peachcroft you don't make it easy

This is our go to cafe after the gym - what's brilliant about this cafe is that it sticks to what it's good at, uses top quality local ingredients and make piping hot, full flavoured coffee. The chef at Well Stores (Kate?) really knows how to make perfect eggs (be it scrambled, poached or omelette). Anyone knows that to make eggs well is not easy for something so apparently simple. There is a choice of bread, toast and with Gluten Free options as well. I have almond milk cappuccino which I adore. Treat yourself to a great wholesome breakfast at a place that really cares.

Popped in for a quick coffee. Service was good but I did notice if you either know staff or regular they talk to you more. That said staff are polite and helpful. You have a small shop as well to look round which is nice. Coffee was good but didn’t get chance to try food . As you would expect with a place like this looking at the menu and specials board it not your cheap eats. Even the board states they have had to put prices up. As I didn’t try food I cant comment on that and have scored just based on a coffee. Would I go again yes I would and it’s a nice little stop off.

This is a really nice, out of the way place for a casual light lunch or a coffee. It's often busy around lunchtime (it's a bit of a favourite with locals), so it is worth calling up to book. The service is friendly, the food always fresh and delicious (if you like a cheese toastie, theirs is the best), and there's the additional benefit of the attached farm shop, with a great range of cheeses, fresh eggs, veg, and all of those little extras you might need, like a bottle of vino or some rapeseed oil!

Often stop at this lovely farm shop, café and craft shop as a welcome break on country walks. Delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and the best chocolate brownies around. Do visit the craft shop if you get a chance as I've found it's a great place to pick up unusual and very reasonably-priced gifts.

This is a small cafe adjacent to a Deli at Peachcroft Farm and is well worth a visit. Book a table in advance to be sure of being able to enjoy the daily menu and the range of regular items. They also serve Breakfast from 8.30a.m. We visited for lunch without booking and were lucky to find a table for 2. Service was friendly and prompt. The daily specials were varied and reasonably priced. My companion enjoyed Broccoli and Stilton Soup which came in a large bowl wth 2 delicious and substantial different breads fo less than a fiver. My jacket potato with Bacon, Cheese, and dressed salad was also substantial and reasonably priced. The coffee is delicious too. I will definitely return for another visit.

A few of us turned up to Wells Stores the other day and took over the place a little. It's so amazing, there are so many different things to see, lots of unusual foods and some lovely gifts in their outhouse too. As well as lots of lovely fresh fruit, veg and bread. We stayed for some coffees which were great. Cath and her staff are wonderful, very helpful and welcoming. We didn't stay for food but there were lots of dishes going past that looked really good and some terrific smells coming from the kitchen. We will definitely be back for some food soon, and once those New Year resolutions have failed I'll be back to see if I can make a dent in their well-stocked cheese counter.

I love the shop which stocks great cheeses and lots of other foods and a visit to the gift shop is also worthwhile especially at this time of the year.

Wells Stores is, in my opinion, the best place for a coffee in the Abingdon area. The staff are friendly and there is always a wide selection of specials as well as lunchtime standards made with the best local produce. The farm shop has a wide selection of cheeses and the staff are very knowledgable about them. Would thoroughly recommend a visit for any occasion!

I have been using Well's Stores for 23 years and the previous owner could not be surpassed for her knowledge of cheese. She taught me to love British Cheese and I would not buy from anywhere else around here. The new owners have, to my mind taken on a bastion of the cheese world and are doing a darn fine job of it. They are buying beautiful cheese.

Such a lovely cafe with a gorgeous little gift shop. Try the luscious toasted cheese on sourdough and the best carrot cake in the world! Coffee is delicious and the staff are lovely. We had my neice's 7th birthday lunch here and it was a lovely afternoon. I've been back since for breakfast (poached eggs and avocado on sourdough!) and lunch (salad and quiche). It's definitely one of the best cafe's in the area.

Good to see the Fox back open, New manager/Chef is very welcoming. Food was really good, tasty hot and large portions. We had burgers and steak. Pub is kept much cleaner than previously, tables wipes and cleared quickly. We'll be back. We could see more staff were required before they really market the place again. It would benefit from a few smaller tables in the restaurant area.

I went today to purchase a coffee which I did. My purchase was based on the fact that they would be closed a 9 pm as advertised on Google Places(Map). As I was sitting a gentleman I approached me telling me that they are closing in 10mins that was at 19:45pm. The gentleman didn't provide an explanation or neither apologises for the inconvenience caused. Avoid when you'are planning to sit down relying on their opening times.

The venue is a little bit cramped, attending with my grandson and there wasn’t really anywhere safe to easily put pushchair. Struggled to get past next table to sit down as tables so close. The tapas was nice, but no better than lukewarm. Good flavours but spoiled by its temperature. The venue was indeed very busy, but the table we were put on was incredibly drafty.

The drive through is quite good, never really have to queue for long. The helpfulness of the staff is a bit hit and miss though. There's a lad who works there some evenings, who is the proverbial chocolate teapot.
