Authentic pub with a great selection of beers. Lovely friendly staff, proper landlord, great food, nice outdoor space with heating. My third visit and I’m enjoying it more every time. If you visit Windsor then make sure you pay a visit. I highly recommend the Lamb Biryani if you’re having a cheeky bite.

This could be such a great little stop—beautiful surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and plenty of potential. Unfortunately, the experience was soured a bit by the café owners, who seemed to have a very strong stance against dogs and, honestly, not much warmth toward people either. We were met with frosty stares and the kind of energy you’d expect if we’d marched in wearing muddy boots and shouting—when all we did was smile and bring a well-behaved dog. It felt less like a café and more like we’d wandered into a private club where happiness is frowned upon. It’s such a shame, because the spot itself is lovely and could be a real gem with a bit more friendliness (and maybe a treat or two for the pups). Here’s hoping they warm up in future—both to customers and the idea that dogs aren’t the enemy.

Great pub in the high street in Burwash East Sussex have eaten in several times over the past 3 months and have not been disappointed the Sunday lunch is getting very busy so recommend you book your table so not to miss out. Home made pie are delicious and very popular with the local villages. Lovely family run pub with amazing views of Dudwell valley and accommodation. Well worth a visit. 😊

We recently enjoyed a fantastic family roast at the railway and I have got to say it was superb. The roast was delicious, I had the beef and would highly recommend. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to our next visit 🥳 thank you Railway

Visited for their lunchtime Thai menu which seems to be a separate business operating in the pub. The landlord can seem a bit dour but he's OK and he keeps his excellent Surrey Hills beers in good condition. A short lunch menu offers really nice food at excellent prices with friendly service. They also do some standard pub fare for those who prefer it. Evening is à la carte at higher prices but that's to be expected.

Popped in for dinner whilst on holiday. We’d tried the sister Cow Shed previously and really enjoyed it. This was a more traditional pub environment. It wasn’t particularly busy, so was rather quiet, but that wasn’t a problem. Liked the selection of games on offer which was good for keeping us occupied while we waited for food. The food was fairly standard decent pub grub. Dog friendly too which was an added bonus.

This is a lovely and surprisingly large dog friendly cafe hidden away in the Garden Centre, which is also fantastic. It’s certainly worth visiting both.

Wow. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious afternoon tea. Got to be the best in the area for sure. We would recommend it to everyone. We've tried the rest and now found the best. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially the barman who went above and beyond.

The nicest people ever!! My car got a flat tire and I went into the pub to get wifi to find help. Everyone there was so sweet, friendly and helpful! If I lived here, I’d go there everyday! The owners were so kind and even the other patrons were very friendly! Will go for lunch or dinner.
