I always have a lovely lunch here with a nice atmosphere. It's a good place to go if you are on your own as you do not feel out of place and it's very private You were busy when I came in and luckily I managed to get the last seat I was appalled to see one person sitting on a table meant for four with a laptop on one seat and a coat on the other and people were struggling to get a seat I think staff should be more vocal and split the tables so that more people can sit down A family of four walked in and walked out again

Service can be slow and annoying if they leave your order unfinished while starting on someone else's. Tables are not always cleared but mostly OK. Dogs allowed (personally I do not like them). Cups can be over-filled - even when you ask for milk, leaving no room to add the milk.

I had to dry my hands on my shorts because the hand dryer wasn't working. The lock was falling off the door and was too high for if a kid went alone. It felt grimy and didn't smell nice. The basin was tiny and the taps were corroded. The toilet made a weird noise when I flushed it. the toilet paper was too long and didn't have any patterns on it which made me sad. 3/5 would consider pooing again.

My Fiancé and I asked for a pistachio iced latte on the 22nd October. We were served by the manager, she served us iced lattes with a hint of pistachio. It was like one half squirt of pistachio syrup in each latte. Pistachio Lattes are meant to be green in colour, This was more milk than either coffee or pistachio. When I politely questioned her over it she became extremely rude and asked if I knew what a pistachio latte actually was and was this our first time in having a pistachio latte, which I might add it was not! She was very condescending and asked if we expected it to look like the advertising picture. As there was a queue of customers, I refused to be dragged into an argument, so went and sat back down. I then called over a trainee barista and politely asked her her opinion on the lattes. She agreed that they were not pistachio lattes as they were not green! and did not have enough pistachio in them. She offered to remake them before her break. As the trainee was remaking them, the manager was yelling insults across the room at both my fiancé and myself. She did not have the common decency to come over to us and speak to us directly, it was like she wanted to create a scene in front of everyone else! Myself and my fiancée were not making a scene as we did not want to cause a scene so we were speaking in a normal volume and tone to the manager. The manager was also directing the trainee on remaking them. Thankfully the trainee ignored her and made them perfectly. Bottom line is that the manager was rude, condescending, aggressive and horrible. Who yells insults at their customers after serving the same customers a crappy coffee?

I visited here with my partner at 9:00 on 7/5/2022 and asked for a hot milk. The response I got was comical!! "You want a what?" I would like a hot milk please, "What's that?" I was asked!!! I said it's a cup of tea without the tea bag!!! It's not that difficult, a hot milk is a hot milk!!!!!!!!! You would have thought I was speaking a different language

Phenomenal coffee venue with wonderfully friendly staff that always go the extra mile to make your visit welcoming and pleasant... 😀 There's one barista (Tom) who always remembers my favourite choice of coffee regardless of whether I turn up every day or once in a blue moon 🌙. Amazing is an understatement bearing in mind he sees hundreds of customers day in day out. Cannot recommend Caffè Nero Horsham Highly Enough to anyone visiting Horsham 😊

Noted and reported poor hygiene practice that has turned me off Caffè Nero. Observing a member of the staff returning from outside the store with a large handful of unwrapped straws in ungloved hands - He placed them straight into the dispenser and patted them across the tops with his hands for more time than necessary. Then I them observed him fiddling with his face mask, pinching it about and adjusting it. I waited to see what he would do next, whether he would wash his hands. Too late for the straws though, they had already been the target of potential contamination from his hands. However, no hand washing took place afterwards and he made himself available to serve at the counter, without any hand washing. I asked discreetly which member of staff was the manager, the other staff told me the manger had left the Nero that day, so I asked that same person to speak to her colleague and ensure he didn’t come into contact with my purchase. I made a point to her with discreet emphasis: strict hygiene protocols protect us ALL. In a time of economic and health risks - it’s wise to act with forethought and adhere to the standards. Other retailers are floundering, and closing down in Horsham. No one wants to lose anymore due to the pandemic. Let’s work together. At this time I cannot bring myself to go back into Caffè Nero. Yet before, Caffè Nero was my cafe of choice locally and in London. This put me off.

I visit this outlet quite a lot when I am in the Horsham area. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is usually good. My principal concern is that they never seem to clear the tables, the furniture /decor is tired and they continue to allow dogs onto the chairs licking from the tables. Oh, and the male toilet has been disgusting for months, it has needed a new clean toilet seat and the dripping tap fixed. Whoever signs it off on-an hourly basis needs to go to Specsavers!

Popped in yesterday with a friend for a morning cuppa + a delicious pecan pastry (the nicest we've ever had!) There were 6 people ahead of us in the queue & only two ladies preparing the drinks etc so we had to wait a good 10 mins before being served. There was plenty of spare seating when we were there & the tables + floor area were clean. We did not use the cloakroom facilities so cannot comment on how clean there were. We did enjoy our drinks + pastry - it is slightly more expensive than other places we have been to in town for a morning cuppa, but we would go again.

I feel so hard to sum up this review over a few cups of coffee. But I do compell to share this bad experience with you. I'm regularly go to this cafe 3-4 times a week ,smile hardly find from this female staff. Understand the shortage of staff could have caused any tiring moment but swing her mood around and dumped it on client is not acceptable. I do have the accent and even so her. If she would like to judge the people by the accent then everyone could be Einstein??? Obviously, the short hair young female staff forgot her "Chill Pill"" on my today 's visit. Alas, her way of composing conversation with me as a regular customer is rather condescending than communication. She's rude with her way of shouting to me and giving me hostility looks. It's such a shame the other staff always be nice. I don't understand why she want to have a go with me as I m a paying guest. So many time I have found grubby tables, non guided dog allowed into the cafe where I'm so allergic. But the way I have been served today is just so off-putting and I am considering may not want to go there again. """ Judging from all numbers of the coffee shops in Horsham that staff may can't see the wood for the trees."" I even sensed the other member of staff talked to her in Italian (Latin) with a hand gesture to tone down her voice. I always have had a lovely time and far far more professional service at " The Lottie's and Artisans". The only reason I chose Cafe Nero because Ham Cheese Croissant. But after the rating of my experience today I will have to bid adieu to my beloved Croissants.

I've loved caffe Nero for years and it is my go to coffee shop. I drink black coffee so don't have issues others have regarding milky coffee. The cappuccino cake is to die for. Yes there is less hustle and bustle but in a good way to my mind. I don't mind little dogs being inside as long as they are well behaved... that's obviously down to owners.Negatives lately are the toilets... the lock was broken on my last visit so I sat and prayed....It is looking like it needs decorating.Staff turnovers been high... agree that since it was the two young men who ran it, things haven't been the same, not so friendly or obviously aware of regulars. The new manageress can be very annoying. She shouts down the coffee line but doesn't really listen to you or look at you.

This used to be one of the better Nero's around but over the last few months things have taken a turn for the worse. Staff changes seem to be at the core of the problem. Cappuccino's have gone from almost perfect to pretty unpalatable. The problems all seem to centre around one member of staff whom of course I shall not name but she definitely has an issue telling the difference between a cappuccino and a flat white. On our last visit I ordered one of each and apart from the size of the cup they were exactly the same! didn't even bother with any coffee art on the flat white and the cappuccino was like the flat white but with the chocolate sprinkles. On our last three visits cappuccinos have all been poor, too milky with probably half a centimetre of foam. Might as well order a latte and be done with it.Tables and chairs are usually grubby and although there is one member of staff running around clearing them most of the time (always seems to be the same guy) it doesn't really help. There are still some good baristas here but it's a lottery now as to whether you will get one or not. We have complained and they say they will look into it and provide extra training but of course nothing changes. We used to spend a lot of money in Nero but until they sort the staffing problem out and employ baristas who can make consistently good drinks we'll be going to Pret, which is opposite Nero. The coffee isn't any better but the food is an improvement. One other thing that I find really odd is how they allow dogs into the store. I spoke to Nero head office about it and they said they would prefer dogs not to be in the stores but they leave it down to the store manager to decide. Not the most hygienic of practices!

Considering it's one of the modern coffee-house chains it's already looking grubby. Some of the chairs are comfortable but I always feel squashed when I'm there it's too easy for other customers to spread there belongings over a number of chairs and be very self centred. Being an occasional coffee drinker, I found the coffee strong and bitter but my colleague who loves his coffee thinks it's excellent. If you don't want strong coffee stick to a chocolate which is very tasty.

There doesn't appear to be any consistency in what milks are used for certain drinks from day to day. Have been drinking here occasionally for a while now.Negatives : Service is incredibly slow. Lots of tables and sofas, but the sofas have seen better days and the tables are always dirty and unwiped, very slow to clear away the old dishes and trays. Whole shop is to cold , unbearably so in winter. Zero atmosphere.Positives: place is almost always deserted so can always get a table, wifi is good and free, toilets reasonably clean and tidy. Because of the lack of customers it is peaceful and quiet, hardly any screaming children or babies, which is a plus. Since the coffee area has gone from the mall and Costa and Pret are both overcrowded and utter bedlam , Cafe Nero is the only place left to sit down quickly that is on the ground floor. But thats not saying much as none of the coffee shops in Horsham are any good. All lack atmosphere or are located on the upper floors of shops, If you want a peaceful cup of coffee with a nice cake to go with it you cant beat Beales cafe, pristine, clean, reasonably priced, friendly staff and a lot of dishes home made. And did I mention peaceful......you can actually relax, something you cant do in Costa, Pret, in fairness Cafe Nero is quiet....in the way that a graveyard is quiet...ie dead, zero ambience.

Quite good for a chain coffee shop. Coffee is above average and served reasonably quickly which is certainly not the case at some other comparable coffee houses in Horsham where sometimes one must wait for 20 or 25 minutes in line, to get a coffee! I am a real coffee lover and love going out for coffee with friends and family. I love Cafe Nero because their coffee is amazing and the staff in there are so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much. The atmosphere always has a buzz too which makes it nice on a Saturday morning, and I went on xmas eve once too which was lovely. Every time there has been an issue, the blonde gentleman in there has always been so friendly and gives excellent customer service for example once my mum had a latte with a caramel shot, but she found the shot too strong so i just asked if they could dilute it a little as at the end of the day, she wanted a caramel latter so not really the coffee shops fault. He made us a fresh new latte and gave us a free drink for next time we visited and was so friendly and lovely about it as I offered to wait at the counter and he said he would bring it over for us. Caffe Nero is the most recent addition to Horsham's burgeoning line-up of coffee outlets. So far, it has failed to impress. The store is modern and new, but lacks atmosphere - it's simply a large room, with wooden floors, with overactive air conditioning that means it is always cold.Whilst the coffee is undeniably excellent, the service is unacceptably slow. It can take up to thirty minutes to be served, even with just a couple of people in front of you in the queue. Forget about dropping in for a quick coffee or a spot of lunch during your working day.Once you finally manage to get your coffee, you are likely to find yourself seated at a table covered with the detritus of the last customers; tables are rarely cleared. If you don't mind waiting an absolute age on a queue, or sitting at a dirty, litter-covered table in an echoey room that feels like a fridge, Caffe Nero is for you. Alternatively, you'd be better off heading to one of the other many coffee shops in town.

Beautiful premises & location. Love the interior & decoration here. Have been coming here a while but met Candy today who has recently taken over. Her friendly & welcoming personality shines bright. Her act of kindness today was greatly appreciated & wish her all the best in her venture. Thank you Candy. The Croque Monsieur is the best!!!

We went there for a sit in curry. Couldn't fault it, food was excellent and service was great. Improved since last time. Well done.
