The nicest people ever!! My car got a flat tire and I went into the pub to get wifi to find help. Everyone there was so sweet, friendly and helpful! If I lived here, I’d go there everyday! The owners were so kind and even the other patrons were very friendly! Will go for lunch or dinner.

Real spit and sawdust vibe. Feel like it's a missed opportunity to be a lovely venue with outdoor space.. but maybe they don't want to attract tourists. Food on Sunday only

Sorry to say, the take away roast lunch we ordered came freezing cold & very expensive. Advertising at £7.50 & we got charged £17 for 2. (One being a child’s portion) very disappointed. We have visited and dined in on a Sunday and it’s been lovely. Won’t be ordering take away again.

It's a nice pub, very friendly and cheap there to. Only is problem is some of the regular customers and one staff member is abit unpleasant, they fail to bar people of they have done something wrong.and staff tend to take sides with the person in question. So basically if someone does something wrong to you and you are a new customer the bar staff tend to pick sides with the person who actually done something wrong instead of your side. But on the other hand it only happens every now and then that something happens so. In other words it's a great pub but it is ruff round the edges and needs improvement in some places. Great services

After a brilliant 5 star review in 2019, what a difference a year makes with COVID-19. Now a one-way serving system has been installed and the benches at the front of the pub have been removed!! What are disabled people in wheelchairs supposed to do now!! They can't get in the pub and if they could, they have nowhere to put their drink! But someone's brilliance has helped, they've decided to put all the benches on a wooden plinth (i.e. "a beer garden") at the back of the pub. They've even made a wooden ramp to access this plinth but have forgotten one major detail in that the car park/beer garden surface is gravel. Unfortunately gravel and electric wheelchairs don't mix and the ramp is totally useless, making the plinth of benches unreachable. Seems we've got another COVID-19 own goal here. We did speak to some pub representative about the issue and she said they'd put some benches out in front of the pub like they had in previous years. But during our week's stay in Lymington, this never materialised. Well after this experience, we decided to walk further up the road and take our business elsewhere to the White Hart, whilst being more expensive were also more disabled friendly. In fact in Lymington there are more pubs which are dog friendly than disabled friendly, which for disabled people says it all.

Visited this pub twice during our holiday stay at Lymington and wished we'd frequented this hostelry more. My wife is disabled but we were able to enjoy a delightful drink outside on the benches. On both occasions the staff were very accomodating and helpful and the drinks were reasonably priced. I ordered a pint of Guinness and definitely got more than my pint's worth! On the last visit, we were returning home the next day and I paid for the drinks with all my remaining cash coins, which they readily accepted without any redress. If we holiday in Lymington again we will definitely have another visit to the Musketeer.

The Musketeer is a pub I frequent regularly, usually after football matches, but it's been a long time since I had a meal there. The pub has changed hands a few times, and certainly when I last ate there it was under different management. The current management are relatively new, and when we (the group of friends who attend the pub after football), called in a short time ago, on the table were Christmas menus. They looked really good, and the price was very fair, so we asked if we could reserve a table for the Friday night, which coincided with the turning on of the local Christmas lights. Unfortunately the Xmas menu didn't start until the following day, but the landlord said that if we e mailed our menu requests in to him, he would prepare for us the Xmas dinner on the night before it officially commenced. This we did, and we were delighted that not only had he arranged the dinner, but had set it out in an adjoining private room. The three course meals were scrumptious. We ate heartily, and the food was wonderfully cooked, and there was an abundance. We all chose differently and each of us had a first class Xmas dinner. Even with drinks and wine, the total was very fair, and the service was wonderful. well done Musketeers, and thank you for a really first class evening.

After a very blustery and wet Hockey match close by came in here hosted by the Ladies from New Forest. What a lovely find - real ales ( though I think 4 were out) so a Trick and Treat from Cottage Brewery was for me. Open fire provides atmosphere and when I peered at the Menu I was staggered - these are prices equivalent to Northern pubs. REMARKABLE value and probably outdoing all pubs in the South. It was just my pub and I just wish I could have that sort of local near me as there was a good cross section of folk there in the early afternoon. I had match refreshments ( snorkers, chips and sarnies) which were good and it is a pity I could not have sampled more,as it were. Well, overall, this is a good find. Interestingly an acquaintance had tipped me off that hospitality was good at this location. Obviously I cannot comment on the quality of cooking but the omens look good.

Expectation exceeded. First time here for a relatives 60th who had stayed here before and yep, this hit the spot. Think of cutesy, countryside, “Manor House” style kind of boutiquesque blend, and this will sum it up Loved my room (number 6), the bar, restaurant, gun room and surrounding area. It’s truly in a great location for walks and is dog friendly. Some issues with another room with a faulty extractor which looks to not have been working for some time as the shower room was too damp and the smell was obviously so (room 20). The third room of the party, (room 15) again, great. Food great and staff happy to serve. Bit let down by the Saturday lunch but that’s on an ultra petty level like, not bringing over cutlery when served food and putting ice in drink when asking for none and a slightly too salty mushroom on toast dish (and that takes a fair bit for me to say too salty) but as I said, petty but compared to the flawless dinner on the Friday night, it did “taint” the over all experience on the food front. Wouldn’t say the best cocktails so don’t indulge with the price point but good wines and boy oh boy the Guinness here is on point. Amazing head! 100% looking to come back
