Really nice place with a great atmosphere. The food was really tasty and reasonably priced. All the staff who served us were really friendly and nice, in particular Debs, she went out of her way to make our time in the restaurant a pleasant one, she was very friendly, personable and just nice, so thank you.

Lovely last minute booking after getting off the ferry. Very welcoming and friendly staff, well looked after by Debs who made us feel at home and the good was great tasting and good quality. The atmosphere was relaxed and the live music a bonus. Definitely coming back!!

Slid in for a cheeky lunchtime pint with an old friend. Great atmosphere, had some snacks and a couple of drinks. Staff were great. Amazing.

Eaten here a few times,well what can I say the atmosphere is so good since the pub has changed under new management,the food is beautiful and well presented,the fish and chips has to be my favourite cannot fault it,bar staff are friendly and quick and efficient and very attentive,even do a checkback to see if everything is fine,my brother had the burger cooked to perfection he cleared the plate thoroughly enjoyed it,would come back definitely again no doubt about it A very satisfied customer 😊😊😊😊😊

Great food, popped in late on Easter Sunday found a nice table. It was very warm inside the pub.

We used to visit this pub really often when we were on holiday in the New Forest. Always excellent. But this Wednesday afternoon we were disappointed. Though having menus on the tables offering food (late lunch & early dinner 12-5) they don’t open the kitchen until six. They also advertise online. We drove nearly an hour yesterday. Not very friendly. The Pub is still beautiful though. But do not go there during the day when you are hungry.

Had lunch with my husband here today. Very impressed with food. I had steak and ale pie and my husband had sausage and mash. Can happily recommend.

Nice and busy atmosphere. Had to wait a long time for our main meal after we’d had our starter, but the staff kept us updated and we were not in a rush so it was ok

Booked a table in advance for a treat for mum on Mother's day, the Angel has always been a pleasant way to spend a few hours so thought it would be ideal. Nice friendly greeting and good table, we were presented with the menu and told that a few items were unavailable. We ordered our starters and main courses. A little while later, the waitress came to tell us that one of the starters was unavailable. Unfortunately, this was mum's who is vegetarian. She chose something else, something described as cauliflower wings, (I didn't know they could fly) this starter arrived and to me they looked overdone and after trying them, mother confirmed that they were indeed overdone and tasted burnt. Called the waitress to explain, she apologised and offered to change it or swap for something else. Mum resorted to the soup. After a few minutes, the waitress returned, very embarrassed, to say that if we wanted to change the starter, we would have to pay extra! (Managers orders) Mum said she wouldn't bother with the starter, didn't want to cause a fuss. About an hour later, the mains arrived. Brother had a steak which he said was OK, mum had a vegetarian dish, a flan with veg and potatoes but then smothered in very thick gloopy gravy. (Nobody was sure if it was a meat gravy) it also had developed a skin so had obviously been stood a while. I had pan fried sea bass with garlic King prawns, vegetables and crushed potatoes. It was served in a small bowl, the bass was extremely small, three hard prawns, handful of frozen veg and potatoes all covered in a bland pink sauce. The only redeeming factor was the potatoes which tasted good. When we were asked 'was all ok" I started saying that my meal was very small and... but before I could comment anything else, she said 'oh well, never mind ' and walked away. I had a desert because I was still hungry which was fine. Our original waitress came to clear the table and was very apologetic regarding the whole experience and to be honest, she was the only pleasant thing about lunch. All in all, nice place, nice staff (mostly) all let down by the food quality. Also, if you are going to have live music, it needs to be good quality and at a background level of volume. I heard quite a few complaints about that.

Excellent greeting on arrival, shown to table, very pleasant waitress, who took drinks order , gave us time and took food order, everything arrived nice and hot, excellent quality food. Recommended.

A good old fashioned pub. Serves lunch and dinner. Some great imaginative dishes as well as the usual pub grub!

A beautiful place and I loved being there as the manager, It was owned by the brewery Eldridge & Pope( no longer operating) ! I will hopefully come to visit one day and remember the fond memories.

Nice environment. Plenty of room so you could hold a conversation ! Food delicious. Service discreet but pleasant. It was a busy night but they still managed to fit us in. Very accommodating. A comfortable evening. We will definitely go again.

Good staff. Friendly but not intrusive. Good food at reasonable prices. Hated the booking in system! Tried to book on line as requested. It kept telling me I couldn't book for 7pm on the 29th but I couldn't then say- How about the same time on 28th then? I had to put all that info again. It said the same. It was so frustrating. I think I finally managed to book the original date and time via email. I know it was a very frustrating experience and very time consuming. If I'd been able to speak to someone the whole process would have been over in a few minutes. I would recommend back to the old system of booking by phone or improve the on line booking system. Other than that I would certainly go there again.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. Our meals were cooked well and nicely presented without being pretentious. It was good value. The pub is well situated on the high street. A large car park is only two minutes walk away and is free after 6 pm.

Very good attentive service, food was great and the bar/restaurant has a very good ambiance.

Shown quickly to our (rather dirty) table. Waitress took drinks order after a wait, but no chilean sauvignon blanc available! Drinks came up, then another wait of 20 minutes till waitress took our food order. Meals arrived quite quickly however and were hot and tasty. Can't fault the food, service could be improved.

When we arrived we were told that 3 dishes on the menu and also all steaks and burgers were off the menu. We were a party of 8 and were told that we couldn't use any vouchers as it was only for 6 people. We had two vouchers between us, obviously for 12 people, but were told we still couldn't use them, even if we moved to two tables. As there was not enough left on the menu anyway, we all decided to leave and go to another restaurant.

I are there with my two sons this afternoon. It was my son’s 13th and he wanted steak. Some of the meats were not available but the ones that were were very tasty. The service was very good also. Very friendly waitresses. We had starters, mains and desserts! They were all yummy…

Hotel and pub great service nice rooms and food 🌞

Good service, not too pressing. Four different meals ordered, delivered promptly and much enjoyed.

We were seated in a lovely area with the sun shining in through the windows. Loved the reserved sign using scrabble pieces 💕. The menu was extensive and I was very happy with my choice of chicken and chorizo kebab flatbread. The pickled red onions were wonderful. It was fine to be eating without a drink from the bar, and was supplied with a large jug of water. We ordered pudding and shared a brownie and was given a jug of custard for my partner to have. Using the 30% voucher cut the cost for our meals by about £10 which made us feel the meal was very good value. We will try to return and make use of the second voucher as we thoroughly enjoyed the food we choose. The waitress was friendly and smiley, which always adds to the experience. Thank you for a Saturday lunch treat.

Went for a Sunday lunch today. Debs and the rest of the team were so welcoming and really looked after us. The quality (and quantity) of the food was amazing. If you are in Lymington looking for a pub with great food, cask ales and atmosphere, then the Angel and Blue Pig has it all.

Good food, beer and service from all of the team. Haven’t visited for a long time but will be back soon.

Big thanks to Nick and Mikie who were responsible for our amazing meal! The pork belly and rib eye steak were just delicious and beautifully cooked. Debs was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble: so friendly and helpful, making sure our experience was top notch. Thank you for making us so welcome!

Best Sunday roast I have had in a pub for as long as I can remember ! Good portion size and really tasty . Roast potatoes were perfect as way the beef and Yorkshire pudding . Will definitely come back here

This was our second visit to The Angel & Blue Pig and we weren't disappointed. The pub staff are all pretty fantastic but I have to say that Debs was particularly good serving us last night. I highly recommend the espresso martini tiramisu.

First time in here. Nice bar, very friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Will use again, a good find.

I've heard the foods good but as for community spirit it's poor. I got attacked in my home and was busted up badly. I went into this pub to call the police and the ambulance and the person in charge was more concerned about her guests. I was not making any noise and was not bleeding etc. The police arrived to take a statement of me and told me to wait for the ambulance. As soon as they left I was asked to leave. I even offered to buy a drink but then bizarrely they wanted authorisation from the 999 operator that she refused to talk to. Very stuck up in my opinion, however this could be just one bad member of staff as I could see one young bar staff looking disgusted.

The welcome was warm and friendly. Helpful on the phone. The room was gorgeous - warm and cozy. The fire was lovely. The meal and service was lovely.

I wish to advise the experience was medium, service and food. We ordered our meals gave our requests with meals, one being can we have no burger sauce in burger and could I swap for BBQ sauce, waitress returned to hand us a bottle of BBQ sauce .... could the chef not carry out this ? All most like yeah fine do it yourself ( simple customer service )- Ironically the burger came out with the burger sauce present when we asked not too ! This then meant the food had to be taken away and we didn't eat together. The roast potatoes that came with the dinner were under cooked almost seemed not roasted. The meat and veg were delicious and the best bit were the desserts we had. Thank you.

A few beers and a meal with two very old friends. We enjoyed a good meal, although not cheap. My sirloin was great, very nicely rare (although slightly over-salted), the others had no complaints. Wine prices were a bit fierce tbh, but service was very good.

Nice room comfortable bed. The heating was on so room was constantly warm. A slight issue with the shower which I reported and told would be rectified. If people don’t tell about issues to management then obviously they can be fixed. Breakfast was great a lovely English breakfast was great tasting food. Can’t fault the staff. Thank you!

We come over for a quick lunch, first impressions the place looks very cosy warm & friendly atmosphere, sat the down then & order quick food, the service was good & very attentive, just the food are just a let down, calamari looks like come frozen products for the price, & the seabass fillets are way to small I thought I order sardines. But apart from that good experience to the area.

We popped in and enjoyed an early evening meal. The steak pie was devoured with much drooling. The pud, well it didn't get a chance to even touch the sides on the way in and down. Recommend for a comfort break and well-cooked comfort foods, in a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed a taste of the local warm ambiance and hot grub.

What can I say made to feel so welcome. Jamie kept his word for my birthday stay, Debbie was so polite and helpful and David the same and really helped when I had a bad turn. All staff made us feel so welcome we booked another night. Highly recommend The Angel & Blue Pig to anyone look to stay eat and drink and relax. Chris and Jim thank you all for our lovely time xx

Lovely pub with a good atmosphere and nice food. We had the pies which were large and very delicious with plenty of filling. The staff were helpful and able to adjust a dish on the menu for us and had a good understanding of gluten free for my wife who had the hunters chicken (also very tasty). Pub has an online menu system that allows you to exclude what you cannot eat from the menu for allergies. Also has free Wi-Fi to help you access the internet as phone signal is patchy within the pub.

Just here for drinks and a bit of reconnaissance. Will be back as the food looked great and good value. Lovely, cosy traditional pub/restaurant serving Ringwood ales and all the usual beverages.

We came for New Years Eve whilst visiting Lymington for a few days. The food was lovely and we particularly liked the timings. We weren’t rushed through the courses which was very relaxing. Amazing wine list - loved the St Clair. Libby our waitress was excellent polite and engaged without being overly so.

I made an online table reservation for my partner's birthday. When we arrived I discovered it had been 'declined' with no reason provided a few minutes before the booking start. On the plus side after looking more closely at the menu it looks like we actually dodged a bullet. But if you're looking for an establishment where you can make a booking in advance and expect it to be honoured I'd recommend looking elsewhere

What a cute place! Conveniently located in the town center with very good dining service. Note that check-in doesn’t open until 2pm. The breakfast option is worth it (delicious and ample). I found both my rooms to be comfortable, clean, and quiet…with the exception of a few randy pigeons. I was able to walk everywhere. My fellow Americans: bring your own wash cloths, power adaptors, and don’t grumble about the stair climb to your room (it’s a historic building). My fellow gay men: Support this place, it’s at least partially LGBT run and staffed.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and the facilities were good. The only thing I would say that when it rained the extractor fan in the bathroom leaked a fair amount.

Welcome on entering and offered table but chose to wait for friends in bar. Very quiet on day of visit, not many staff around but those who were there worked hard to serve restaurant and bar requirements. Food was excellent and the portions were ample.

I had a wonderful stay here. Room is very nicely decorated and bed was super comfy. Staff were lovely and the food was very good. I'll be pleased to stay there for my next visit to Lymington.

This place is ok. The atmosphere itself is great, and they have a lovely large open fireplace. The Mac and cheese and the chicken tenders were also very good. The sausage and mash tasted a bit odd, almost like a sweet dish which was a little off putting. The service was ok. I may come back here if I was passing by.

such a lovely place in lymington centre! my partner and I came and stayed here overnight because of a big tattoo he was getting, we got dinner here and the service was amazing we had an extremely lovely man serve us he had such a positive attitude and an amazing woman who helped us check in and make sure that we had everything and know where everything is. Food was lovely I only had a bowl of chips but my partner had some Macaroni cheese, staying over everything was comfortable and we had a lot of room, was a bit chilly but thats just because I’m a small person. Definitely recommend for somewhere to both eat and somewhere to stay!! (also free parking at the back where you stay)

5star pub food. I had the sea bass, and it was perfectly cooked with crispy skin on a bed of crushed new potatoes. Good prices as well. The steak pie was well made, and the mixed grill was huge. W only had a quick lunch but I'm impressed and will be back. Dog friendly. Only down side is having to order at the bar so there was no incentive to order a dessert or a second drink. Well recommended.

We had dinner here this evening and all three courses were very good as was the NZ white. Debbie took very good care of us and all the staff were welcoming. Service only received four stars because they were short staffed but this is in no way a reflection of Debbie’s professionalism. We will definitely be visiting again.

We had an amazing date night at the angel and blue pig. The service was incredible and our food and drink was so tasty. I had the halloumi and red pepper kebab and my husband had the ribeye. So delicious accompanied by tasty cocktails. The angel and blue pig has always been a special place for us as it's where we met nearly a decade ago and will continue to celebrate there!

We stayed overnight and had a meal. Friendly staff, excellent meal, delicious cocktail. Our room could have done with a refurb and the bathroom was dingy but we had everything we needed.

We’ve visited on numerous occasions, & all our visits we’ve enjoyed, whether for a drink, or lunch/dinner. Food always good, in terms of quality & quantity, & the service too is friendly & efficient

A lovely setting. An oldy worldy pub with oak beams. Food was excellent. My friend and I both had 3 courses plus extras. My red wine was correctly served at room temperature. Service was very swift and the staff very attentive and friendly. I have already recommended it to friends and will definitely go back there again myself. Absolutely couldn't find fault with anything. Excellent!!!

Very friendly welcome. Lots of information given about menu and dietary choices . Server Debs was very attentive and knowledgeable. The meal was obviously cooked to order and was really hot …… a big plus for me! The ambience was good as it was a sunny day, but the dark furniture and walls would be quite depressing on a dull day.
