Hotel was clean and tidy, Staff were very professional. Didn't eat at 5he venue.

Great space, lots of screens for football and pool tables etc. Not to mention, it’s dog friendly! 🐶 10/10 would recommend to a friend 🤪

I realised today that I'd never been in this pub before, either in its current guise or as The Rydal prior to that (although apparently it's been The Walker arms for about 5 years now). Food was delicious and fairly priced, the staff and other clientele very friendly). Took mum for lunch and she was able to navigate the inside well with her wheeled walking frame but struggled with it a bit on the gravelled car park. Lovely place and we will be back next time I pay a visit down south.

Saturday , no chef till 2.30 . Menu, paper sticky , receipt stuck on back, disgusting 🫣, no wonder no customers , I'm going somewhere else now. Lost money

Three of us visited this pub today, whilst on holiday at a local holiday park. The sun was out, so we fancied a spontaneous pint in the beer garden. The beer garden looked decent, but the service was shocking. They were not busy at the bar, yet we stood there with both members of staff not acknowledging us for a few minutes. One member of staff even chose to move an empty glass from the bar, prior to acknowledging us and coming over. During this time the staff member shouted over to what I can only assume was locals, before they had even entered the door. Then we placed our order, one of which was for a shandy. I was distracted talking to my brother, before realising that the shandy consisted of 3/4 lemonade prior to him adding the beer. I tasted it at the bar and could only taste lemonade, so asked if he could top it up. I was awkwardly stared at with a stone face, before he topped up what I had sipped out of the glass so not a lot. We went outside and my mum went back into ask if they could make a proper shandy, with it being half and half as standard. The bar staff were both rude to her with the male stating it was half and half, and refused to top it up anymore. Terrible customer service, and wouldn't recommend.

We enjoy the outside space with plenty of tables. Great staff and lovely when ghd sun shines.

If you are happy to pay over £17 for a pink gin withen a small bottle of fever tree with a pint of Madri and a packet of crisps then this isthe place for you

The worst meal I have ever had bread was weeks old, no dumplings although they were part time of the order tea was terrible. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Excellent bar service. Good choice of beers etc. Live music on some Saturday nights. Check before making the journey. Well worth the journey from Bournemouth. Give it a try.

Hadn't been in the walkers Arms for many years, lots of changes. Friday pm wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be, music was louder, my friends & I had a few drinks & caught up 15+yrs. No food was ordered. We will be going again next month.

You need to sort out your rough regulars hitting people in your rough pub It’s disgusting trying to start on people having a drink hitting them on the head then getting there think there hard friends to be outside What type of pub are you running It defiantly is not a family one I would not recommend very rough and ready

Unless everywhere else is closed and you are starving, don't go here! We were here on 28th December 2023, we made the booking at the beginning of December, we turned up for our table (6 people) and they had forgotten the booking. That was the start of it, the food was awful, the chips tasted as though they were cooked in last Christmases cooking oil, and the pie was microwaved to destruction, the other meals were equally as bad if not worse, and having gone to the bar to give the order, they forgot one of the meals. Pubs are going through a bad time at the moment, and this pub would be the final nail in the coffin! New Milton has no really good eateries, but this one is most likely the worst!

I have been to this place consistently every year on Christmas Eve for the past 5 years however this year they have charged for entry and stop letting people in from 10:45. I have no issue with paying for entry however the inside was completely dead when we arrived at 11pm, all me and my friends wanted to do is dance and fill the dance floor. It wasn’t busy inside and they weren’t letting people in to do the most fun part of this pub every Christmas, which is dancing. I’m not sure I will come back next year, I might just go to Ciffhouse next year. Disappointing to see what it has become when it had so much potential. I used to love the big parties this used to be every year but the bouncers were not understanding and clearly thought the party was better outside where you couldn’t buy drinks. Confusing system when they met my sister in at 11:30 but not me and my friends in after they said no entry after 10:45. It was one of my friend’s first time coming here and I was embarrassed after how much I bigged it up to the that we couldn’t even go in. There weren’t even toilets outside and they wouldn’t let you go inside to use them. The people on the door had no solution to the problem. I struggle to believe they can make more money this way than last year. This is the worst experience I’ve had here by far.

Avoid! Overcharged for the drinks which was rectified, not a good start. When food arrived it was over cooked and dry, bought another burger over which was not that much better they need to get a better chef!

Went there for a sunday roast as food on there website looked lovely. Dont be fooled. Recently been taken over i think. The food on their website is not what you recieve. Food was barely edible. Cheap tough meat...ingrediants were far from fresh or homecooked.. gravy so thick you could spread it. Shop bought yorkshire pudding but the worst thing of all was the roast potatoes and parsnips, these were not roasted but deep fried. I work in catering and i have never seen such a awful meal. Absolute rip off. It cost us £50 for 3 inedible meals. Very expensive and below par food. Will never go here again. Very disappointed.

The meal sizes are quite generous, but after having the seafood sharing platter, i felt quite sick, (but some oils dont agree with me) good place for a quick bite, service was prompt and welcoming.

I have been coming to this pub since I was a child before it became the Walkers Arms. Today, the ladies loos were disgusting, there was excrement on the toilet seat of the loo WITH a lock, other loo has NO lock! Horrible! Sort it out Walkers Arms!

Perfectly nice pub food, clean tables waiting time ok, only thing that stops from getting 5 * was the state of the toilets, definitely need an upgrade

First time in since it was taken over and renamed. Attended a music night to see the band, SoS (nee Saints of Sin). Really enjoyed the evening so will hope to visit again soon. Did not eat on this occasion.

Only ordered sodas but nice staff that could change channels to football

5 star venue! With 5 star staff! The vibe is amazing, fantastic band on tonight! There’s two pool tables, plenty of outside space and the staff are FANTASTIC, the guy behind the bar with the tattoos and glasses went above and beyond for us as customers. Enjoy this pub! You’ll be glad you did!

Hi there , I am very dissatisfied with the service and food I had at the Walker arms on the 8th June . Food was cold and I found 3 hairs within the food and food took about 45 mins to come out when the pub was empty will not return

Not the greatest Scampi, chips and peas I've ever had. Half the scampi was undercooked and looked very unappealing. The peas were dry and hard. Best part was the chips which were nice

Great pub for everyone great for family lunch/dinners always fun for a night out at the weekend. They have a large beer garden for summer. The staff are always lovely and welcoming. Always has a good atmosphere

Changed hands a few times over the years and had a different experience each time. Last few times have been good. A good high street pub with decent beer (and choice) and food. Very friendly staff and good if you want to watch a match on TV.

Great little pub with a nice atmosphere. Watched the Rugby here with friends and found the staff and patrons to be very nice. Will be back again soon without a doubt.

We called in at the Walkers Arms for a midweek lunch and would recommend it highly. Although she appeared to be working alone and very busy, the lady serving gave us a warm welcome and was attentive and friendly throughout. The food was great quality, served very promptly and we look forward to visiting again.

Visited this pub on many occasion and had generally good experiences. What has happened? Just met up with my parents today for a christmas get together and was seriously disappointed. The meat portions were the meanest iv ever seen. As was the desert. I was actually served a kids roast for some reason without explanation. Orry wont be back.

We have been regulars here for sometime, and have eaten here very frequently. However, our last few visits have been disappointing from a food perspective. It has gone downhill. We asked the Manager what has changed, and he explained they have a new supplier. Such a shame when it was so good in the past. Still, its a great place for a drink and to meet friends, and a great team of staff that are always welcoming.

Having frequented the pub many times over recent years when we visit the local area, this evening we were thoroughly disappointed. Firstly, when the food arrived, it did so with a wasp cooked into the cheese topping. When we went to return it at the bar, the staff member went to serve someone else before me, despite noting that I had my dinner plate which he had just served us with me. Then when I told him what was wrong, he simply said ‘Oh, I’ll get them to get you another one’. No apology. Nothing. Then he returned to serving the other lady. The chef came out with my replacement food and apologised but it wasn’t until the end of the meal that the other staff member came over to ask how things were. There was no offer of any refund, discount or anything to account for what had occurred. It wasn’t until we said we’d like a refund that something was done!

I went here 3 times in 1 day! If that's not a compliment in itself then I don't know what it is to he honest. Great lay out both indoors and outdoors. Children's play area which is fenced off to avoid those with idol feet trying to escape when your backs turned for a few seconds. Beer garden has plenty of seating for those who want to catch some rays as they socialise or you can seek shade under the trees! You honestly can't ask for much more than what there is to offer here! Got 2 pool tables as well and a dart board...Win XD

Great freshly cut range of pub grub options. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking We had the wrong main dish for one of our party. Very apologetic bar staff and chef. These things happen and this was an example of how to deal with it. Our friend commented that it was the first time in 4 years. They will have no reservations returning. The people of New Milton are lucky to have The Walker!

All I can say is WoooooW. Had the most amazing Whitebait for starters. The best I've ever eaten. Such huge portions too. Then had the lamb shank for mains. Another huge portion .. Well worth the money. I've eaten like a king today . Will definitely come back here, the food is excellent and amazing. Thanks.

We ate here recently during early evening. What a great experience! A very friendly, clean spacious pub, although 'pub' doesnt really give the venue credit for what you experience inside. We found the staff very helpful and friendly, with an excellent level of service. The food was great, piping hot, good quality, and massive portions, too much for us in fact. Thank You!

After calling in for a drink we decided to eat at the pub. We chose the Friday special(2 fish and chips). It arrived very quickly and was very warm, very good size portions and excellent value. The staff were very friendly as well. Will definitely use again

Very disappointed as the delicious looking food on the website was the opposite to what was served up. Very basic menu with the usual cheap offerings. Oven chips …. Yuk. The prices were reasonable but not really value for money for what was it was. A really helpful nice young lady behind the bar. Won’t be back !!!!!!!

Went down this evening as there was live music, but the place only had a handful of people dotted about (1st clue!) but least there wasn't a queue for the bar (2nd clue!). Asked for a Stans Big One cider but was told they'd run out!?! So went for 2 pints of Thatcher's Haze -£10.10! Wow! Such a shame as the band were singing their hearts out to 10 people but with prices like that they'll never fill the bar.

The food took a while to come. worth the wait. Food lovely and hot great portions. Prices good.staff pleasant and friendly

Proper pub, nice selection of drinks, pool tables & dart boards, nice decor with live sports and plenty of inside seating, large beer garden with lots of benches and a large carpark. They also do food but we didn't have any and from the other reviews it looks lovely.

Went in on a Monday evening with a visiting friend, quite quiet but comfortable seating. Good selection on the menu and good portion size. Nicely cooked and very tasty, thoroughly recommend.

"Walkers Arms" more like runners legs

My partner and I saw a large A board outside the Walker Arms public house, stating 25% 0ff all main meals in January. So went in, ordered two main meals and drinks. But when our receipt arrived, we noticed the 25% had not been discounted on our meals. We asked the bar lady why this was, and she replied "The discount only applies to large main meals" Yet, on the A board sign, it just says ALL main meals!! Felt we had been conned!!

Nice big pub. Looked clean. Various seating options..just popped in for a Hot Chocolate which was perfect. I found the place relaxing as it was mid afternoon. I liked the look of the big room at the back for Sky Sports so will pop back when The Champions League resumes...if we are still allowed in bars due to COVID.

My friends and eaten here 3 times and myself once, the food is excellent and very good value, the best Sunday roast in the area. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Dogs are allowed in bar area and given treats.
