The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

Good service and atmosphere. But the food was quite unpleasant. Cold side vegetables (stone cold!) and chips undercooked. The white wine was room temperature.

The food was disappointing for the price and felt overhyped. The chuck steak burger, advertised as something special, was nothing more than a small, poorly cooked mince meat patty. Certainly not worth the cost.

Love this pub. We went for a friend's pre Christmas catch up. Food lovely , service considering they were really busy with several large parties, was efficient and friendly.

We had a roast dinner and could not believe the amount of food on the plate. It was full of the best produce and meat cooked to perfection. Not cheap but worth every penny. The staff were helpful and engaging and the head chef James and his team deserve an applause. Highly recommend The other reviews saying portion sizes were small need to go to spec savers.

4 of us plus a dog for a Sunday lunch between Christmas and new year . Got a lovely welcome from the staff showed to our table and drinks ordered. The food came quickly and was delicious. The staff checked on us to ensure we had everything or if we needed anything further. All in all it was a lovely meal with good service what more could you ask for. I would definitely recommend.

Seriously impressive staff, proper home cooked food & superb ales; all in an historic & quirky interior. Totally superb!

I like this pub. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. But like a lot of Wetherspoon pubs the tables were not cleaned enough. But always busy with a lot of tables to clean. So the staff are working hard. Maybe it's needs more staff. The last couple of times we went in there we cleared the table ourselves.

Always quick and friendly service

A couple of friends booked for Christmas Day I joined them. We were greeted warmly on arrival, sat in comfortable surroundings and were treated to excellent service through our visit. The meal was piping hot and delicious, we all had different choices and nobody left a crumb from all three courses. The service was faultless and the staff friendly. Our drinks, mainly Ale, (Oxford Gold), were served to a very high standard and were in perfect condition. Thanks to all the staff for an excellent Christmas afternoon, we really appreciated it! A visiting family member stayed at the Premier Inn at the weekend and so we met twice for breakfast, and had Sunday evening dinner at the Willen Dragon. While there are notices advising there are issues with the supply of some food items, this is no excuse for the poor hygiene on cleaning tables ( or not !) A lack of staff to welcome you to the restaurant, collect used plates from the breakfast table or serve yoghurt with an expired use by date. The restaurant is in a great location, but really needs to improve standards if they want customers to return.

The George was absolutely perfect for date night! It had a warm and friendly vibe and beautiful views. We had the prawns and Camembert to start with and both are absolutely fantastic quality. I then had the pork belly and was really impressed with the amount of meat that you got. My partner had the fish pie which came with a variety of fish in it and was nice and cheesy. For pudding we shared a brownie as I’ve seen pictures and it looked quite big. It was lovely and rich and Cadbury flavoured which was perfect for us! I also had a festive cocktail which was refreshing and came really quickly with the drinks. The girls working behind the bar were super smiley and friendly and made us comfortable with our little one. We will be recommending this to our friends and we will be back.
