The pastries here are freshly made on site, well proportioned, exceedingly tasty and excellent value for money. The teas and coffees are also good. Don’t use high street chain coffee shops when you have superior price and quality just round the corner. Shop local

Myself and my wife were visiting Emsworth and noticed Heidi's Patisserie in the Town, we use to go to the same shop in Hayling but unfortunately it’s been closed down but knowing the quality of the Hayling shop I decided to enter to purchase 2 filled rolls , firstly we were served by a young girl who was a bit abrupt when asked if the had Cheese salad a ham salad or cheese & onion Rolls/Baps well she turned to an older lady with straight hair. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was the most Obnoxious Person I have ever met, Oh that’s all we have (which was around 30 Rolls) just a snappy response & No help what-so-ever however I did purchase 2 filled rolls which when we ate them seemed like they were at least 24 hours old, Hard rolls & rubbery cheese, Where did the shop get there staff from, They certainly need changing personally I would say Heidii’s closed the wrong shop down, The Hayling shop had much more fresher Food & the most courteous staff. Sadly to say but they just lost another of there customers , we definitely will not be going through that shop door again.

We were really disappointed to arrive at 2.15pm on a Sunday to be told they were not serving hot drinks. We were advised to go elsewhere. We got our drinks from Costa and as we were parked outside we watched as a least 12 other couples walked in and straight back out again! So sorry that you lost so much business when others are glad to serve their customers.

I really miss Heidi's on Hayling but found they were not as fresh as they used to be, so finding myself in Emsworth and peckish I went for a snack, hearing the company had down sized and revamped. I found one member of staff making patronising comments about the customers. The bakery products look delicious and should be for the prices, but the bakewell tart lacked flavour, not a hint of almond in it. Do they bake their own still? I wouldnt go out my way to it .

Having eaten over several years at Heidi's I am sad to say today was dispicable. The waitress said the food is now rationed as prices have gone up, so basically we paid £8.40 for toast as the mushrooms were so few, you could barely cover half a slice! We ordered mushrooms on toast, but really only got toast with a few mushrooms. It was so abysmal, I was tempted to buy them a punnet if mushrooms so no one else was subjected to such disgusting quality. The manageress reaction was to ignore the disgusting service and quality of food and despite complaining, she could not be bothered to resolve or amend the issue. To call herself a manager is questionable as she had no ability to resolved, rectify or deal with customers. She needs training - FAST!

We went in here for a light lunch and chose quiche with side salad. The latter was the worst 'side salad' we have ever seen - I would not give it to a rabbit! The two lettuce leaves were the dark green outside leaves of a very elderly lettuce and the rest of it consisted of a pile of grated carrot and three halves of cherry tomatoes. The 'dressing' was very sharp vinegar. On paying at the counter the girl first got it completely wrong suggesting we had had 'the meal deal' and charging us a lot more than she should, and when we pointed out that the salad was dismal she responded with 'No worries'! My husband said maybe not for her, and the rest of the staff stared with total indifference. We are not given to complaining a great deal, but we will never ever go to Heidi's Patisseries again!

Went here hoping for a lovely Sunday brunch however the staff and the menu ensured this wasnt too be. We're unaccustommed to cutlery being thrown down on table in front of us and general lack of customer service. This could be forgiven if the cafe was busy. However there were more staff present than customers. When the food arrived it was overcooked and tasteless. It really isn't difficult to cook bacon and eggs on toast. Then when it came to paying we were ignored by the younger members of staff despite stood at the till and them walking past twice. Only served when prompted by one of them saying and gesturing "there's a customer there". Avoid at all costs and spend your money elsewhere.

It is a good basic cafe offering teas/coffees, cakes and basic light brunches / lunches.I had the scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast which was perfectly pleasant and tasty. I also had a filter coffee (free refill) which was good quality. The service is friendly, but occasionally can be slow when the place is full. I think this partly reflects that fact that most people go in there to meet up with friends and have a relaxing time, rather than for a quick meal. The food quality is good, with the highlights being the cakes which are the ones that are offered for sale in the shop – I partly like the fresh cream doughnuts! In addition there are newspapers available to read. The prices are towards the cheaper end for Emsworth.Overall a good, reasonable priced cafe.

Hardly any filling and were really hard to cut with a knife - obviously been kept warm for hours. We thought things couldn't get any worse and made the mistake of ordering 2 apple donuts. Looks clean enough, but cannot comment on the food since we sat down waited and waited for someone to take our order, then after at least 15 minutes decided to get up and leave.Found a nicer café by the yacht club, friendly quick service & good food.

We visit here every few weeks and really like the place....one of the reasons is that the prices are usually a bit cheaper than other cafes in Emsworth. Unfortunately that no longer seems the case, but we will still visit again. Food is excellent and drinks really nice too.

I want this review to be constructive criticism for this delightful little café in Emsworth.Positives - bright, clean, inviting, friendly staff, good seating, good selection of food.Negatives - 3 items unavailable at early lunchtime (2 fillings & 1 bread choice), takeaway customers being served before seated customers, unorganised staffing - lots of running to front desk and back to kitchen...I really like this place and the food was great after a long time waiting for it. The staff are polite & were so apologetic for delay and unavailable choices. It is a comfortable, bright and airy café which I would love to see do well - I will give it a second chance next time I am in Emsworth and really hope they can sort out their organisational issues.

Stopped for lunch recently - very busy so don't be surprised if it's full. Had bacon and mushrooms which were delicious. Pleasant surroundings and nice staff - takeaway cakes looked very yummy. Recommended.

We had breakfast here, which was lovely but a bit pricey. Large selection of cakes, pastries & pasties. Worth a visit but as a takeaway.

This used to be, one of the best places to get your cakes and patisseries, but has gone down hill rapidly since a senior member decided to move on. Now allot of the shops are being sold off, and the prices are going up. Not the best way to do business.

Extremely disappointed with this bar / restaurant. They are advertising on their website and on a large blackboard behind the bar that they have a daily Happy Hour for cocktail. Upon arrival and asking for a cocktail the bar manager without any sense of apology informed us that they were not doing Happy Hours or had cocktails. Strange when the bar was fully stocked with every spirit possible. Their prices were on the high side for drinks, the bar had zero atmosphere and unfriendly staff. Do not waste your time driving or walking to the ends of Hayling Island. Without doubt misrepresenting what they sell and their services.

This was my first of many Festive dinners and it did not disappoint!!! £20 for a 3 course festive dinner, with a glass of bubbly was fantastic value for money. The portions were generous, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were attentive. If all my festive dinners go this way I will be a very happy (and full) customer. Highly recommended and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much Cas (Caroline)

We are fairly new to the area and popped into what would be our local, whilst the pub itself is fairly well presented, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, this was spoilt by the excessive foul language coming from people sat at the bar. This was then compounded by at least 2 selfish individuals who thought it was ok to vape inside the pub, subjecting everyone in there to their antisocial habit. As a result this is likely to be our first and only visit.
