The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in North West

Permanently closed! or at least until it's repurposed for something else. Used to be a good pub, but appears to be the latest casualty in the never ending list of British pub closures. Very sad.

As locals we are desperate for the White Lion to return to its glory days. We can walk there - super handy! Popped in for mid week family quick tea tonight to give it another go after recent mediocre experiences. Prices are high - but then the food is now self collection? Really? Bad start. Then waited 50 mins for food. Toilets out of order / no loo roll 🤢 so a bit cross by now i sought the manager. The manager replied with a slew of defensive ‘we are busy’ responses. The pub was ultra quiet… busy? Really? Then food arrived - oops was ready to collect. Definitely not worth the cost/ wait! Katsu curry ok. Veg cold on other meals. No apology issued at any point. I did point out an apology goes a long way! This is a village pub crying out for friendly service. Great food and service = repeat business and recommendation. Sadly we wont be back any time soon.

Update. On visiting today I was disgusted to find the state of the freezers. Clearly haven't been cleaned for weeks or more. Staff just chucking more packs of food on top of the filth. See picture. I would complain direct but it doesn't make a difference. Zainy idea this. But if you need a pharmacist to be present to sell anything at all in the pharmacy, would it not be good plan to employ more than one? I know I know, it's madness. But it would probably stop people in pain having to hang around while the only one you've got has their lunch. Just another good idea that Asda will ignore or come up with an excuse for. I predict the former

Had a espresso tasted like mud, very slow service, quiet when a ordered, not happy, it's only a espresso, staff don't have a clue, do not recommend, avoid if that's last thing you do in your life.

We had reserved a table for 12 for late Saturday afternoon for 5th birthday for my daughter , to celebrate with family.. when we got there they had forgot the reservation and tables we dirty where we had to create a space for all of us to sit... When we ordered food we realised that there was only 2 staff on that where catering for Uber orders and work ins.. we waited 1.5 hours for all our food to come out . They served the food randomly to different people dint bring the drinks out until promoted twice .. they missed two people food and then when asked about the desert for the birthday girl to be brought to us so we could sing happy birthday they completely forgot ... We again sorted that out and I got the dessert from the counter top for them and sorted candles etc.. the staff where completely overwhelmed and couldn't cope at all.. milkshake machine was also broken and no manager in site at all... Total disappointment from start to finish , we clean and moved our own tables, to accommodate us .. had to prompt about drinks and about our order ..the second staff member was also serving other people that came in after us instead of helping dealing with us.. the staff were just inexperienced and not prepared at all.. to have to remind the staff that we needed the slice of cake (from kaspas) and ice-cream for the birthday so we could sing happy birthday instead she was sat there watching us all eat at different times waiting for her own food.. and yes I did ask my daughter to be served first . Definately will not be coming back

Stayed overnight to break up journey to Lake District. A dirty hotel, very tired and smelly. Room was not the best, and an old musty smell on everything like it had been smoked in for the past 50 years everywhere. Surprised it had the Macdonald name, wish we'd have read reviews before staying and didn't just go for the name as these are usually great hotels from our experience.

Poor show Marks and Spencer, we arrived for our breakfast this morning expecting at least an option for a Gluten Free option, but alias nothing, we could have a cheese toasty or a cheese sandwich. So it went on, No choice, but worse still was the reaction of the manager, who was only trained in general escalation avoidance rather than common sense. The staff at this site are always nice and very helpful. But Marks and Spencer you should really have an option for a simple Gluten free breakfast is that too much to ask. Apparently so... But to top it all I asked for the pancakes - they came with a modest portion of maple syrup but seemed to have missed the full ingredients of the actual breakfast, such as perhaps cream or fruit or perhaps a slice of bacon none of which were offered or discussed after the negotiation for a Gluten free breakfast. Still the coffee was average I guess that's something.

No recomendaría esta panadería. El personal es muy grosero y necesita capacitación en servicio al cliente. El personal nos odia la gente escocesa y definitivamente odia servirnos. No compres en este establecimiento y compra en empresas rivales en su lugar.

Arrived at 11.30am on a Saturday ordered food and sat down, very busy, many tables dirty one female young member of staff had a filthy uniform on. Food arrived after 15 mins which was fine but 20 mins later still waiting for a knife, complained got a refund, staff never apologised but did offer to heat it up in microwave. Apparently knives are all in the dishwasher! What a shambles! Staff unbothered, never seen such slow unhelpful & miserable staff in my life!

We booked a table for Mother’s Day afternoon tea at the garden centre for 7 of us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Manager also came and spoke to us to explain the new Tea. The kids afternoon tea was also wolfed down by the children. Food was lovely and plenty of it. They can provide boxes if you don’t finish it. Would definitely attend again.

Solía frecuentar este lugar y yo hemos observado que buceo nariz. Hoy llegamos a un café relativamente tranquilo y esperé 30 minutos para tres chocolates caliente y servida una anémicos. panini Le preguntamos a la camarera donde las bebidas eran, después ella estrelló el plato con la panini y ladrar son hecho por separado''. Nos daba 5 minutos más tarde y la camarera era sentado en un coche fumando un cigarrillo capot! Justo lo que quería ver. . .

He utilizado este Costa en varias ocasiones en los últimos meses, luego me pagan una multa de estacionamiento de £ 60, después de que el equipo de guardia dijo que estaría bien no registrar mi vehículo. Como podéis imaginar, no volveré a visitaros en breve.

Andre was so kind and helpful, despite the wait time been long he went above and beyond to make sure we left happy and continuously apologised even though the situation was out of his hands. Credit to there team!
