Went for a drink before football. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Will now add a pre-match drink here to my pre-match routine

Mi novia y yo fuimos por unos macarrones la última vez que visitamos Manchester. Eran brillantes sin quejas. Planeando volver pronto.

Treated myself and my daughter to a breakfast, the food was not cheap to be honest, and was absolutely dreadful, only just warm, overcooked sausages, cold fried egg, and baked beans, or should I say stodge, that had obviously been sitting keeping warm from the day before! Unedible. Do they have staff issues as staff seemed uniterested, tables left full of dishes, makes you think, a don't care attitude. The cafe lacks atmosphere, and it shows in the staff. Perhaps management needs to get involved.

A dump and a sorry fall from a previous decent venue. A sad indicator of decline of commerce/office workers in area due to working from home and closures.

The Oddfellows Arms is reasonable welcoming Bar...compared to the 5 others in Eccles Centre. Now I prefer entertaing at home...sometimes in Bars the loud voices when drinkers have had a few..can be annoying. JOHN PARKINSON (71) former journalist on Radio.

The app says my food was delivered but I never received it. There is an off chance it was handed to a carer but again, I did not receive it.

I have been visiting the Boathouse kiosk for many years, on and off, during my daily cycle or walk. However, I have never taken the time to provide a review or to thank the great staff for their sterling effort - especially during the pandemic. It wouldn't be fair to single out any member of the hard working staff, but I have to give more credit to the manager (at least I think she is) for keeping the place running very smoothly despite long queues (for obvious reasons) and some impatient customers! All of the staff are very pleasant, very polite and have an incredible amount of patience. In these difficult times, it is a real stress reliver to be greeted with a smile and get a handmade quality Cappuccino, with no fuss! The kiosk sells many items including hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, ice cream and a few fancy extras. Today I treated myself to a luxury hot chocolate, which contained everything that I know is bad for me; cream, marshmallows, extra chocolate (perhaps because I smiled a lot) and it was awesome!!! I would say that it was just as good, if not better, than the Costa version. It definitely had more marshmallows than Costa's. It should be noted that there are two cafés (or one café & one kiosk) in Sefton park, but my preference is the kiosk. I find the experience more personal than the café. With regard to the pricing, I would say that it's average for an outdoor kiosk/café, but to be fair, I generally only ever buy a Cappuccino which (as of Apr 2021) is priced at £2.30. The luxury hot chocolate is priced at £3.50. All-in-all, the kiosk staff offer a great and very friendly service, with plenty of food and drink options - always with a smile :-)!!! I would like to thank everyone there for making life that little bit better, before and during the pandemic.
