I have been visiting the Boathouse kiosk for many years, on and off, during my daily cycle or walk. However, I have never taken the time to provide a review or to thank the great staff for their sterling effort - especially during the pandemic. It wouldn't be fair to single out any member of the hard working staff, but I have to give more credit to the manager (at least I think she is) for keeping the place running very smoothly despite long queues (for obvious reasons) and some impatient customers! All of the staff are very pleasant, very polite and have an incredible amount of patience. In these difficult times, it is a real stress reliver to be greeted with a smile and get a handmade quality Cappuccino, with no fuss! The kiosk sells many items including hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, ice cream and a few fancy extras. Today I treated myself to a luxury hot chocolate, which contained everything that I know is bad for me; cream, marshmallows, extra chocolate (perhaps because I smiled a lot) and it was awesome!!! I would say that it was just as good, if not better, than the Costa version. It definitely had more marshmallows than Costa's. It should be noted that there are two cafés (or one café & one kiosk) in Sefton park, but my preference is the kiosk. I find the experience more personal than the café. With regard to the pricing, I would say that it's average for an outdoor kiosk/café, but to be fair, I generally only ever buy a Cappuccino which (as of Apr 2021) is priced at £2.30. The luxury hot chocolate is priced at £3.50. All-in-all, the kiosk staff offer a great and very friendly service, with plenty of food and drink options - always with a smile :-)!!! I would like to thank everyone there for making life that little bit better, before and during the pandemic.

I went to the boathouse cafe and ordered 2 clippos for my grandsons. My 2 year old wanted an ice cream so I asked if this could be exchanged. I was told no which is fair enough. After 5 minutes my grandsons ice cream started to melt so I asked the staff if I could have an empty ice cream tub to avoid making a mess. The girl behind the till told me an empty ice cream tub would be £3. This is disgraceful customer service. They should be concerned about the mess and waste that cafe generates anyway and be more helpful in avoiding mess. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will be using the ice cream shop in lark lane from now on. Much cheaper and better service.

Location was close to Liverpool lime Street Station and Liverpool Central. Close to everything since it is central (groceries, pubs, restaurants, shopping area). Checking in and checking out was easy. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Suitable for those who are busy during the day and needs a comfortable room for the night. There is some noise from the nearby pub at night but it wasn't too loud. Lots of charging plug points. Nice couch by the window. Window couldn't be fully closed but was nice to have cool air in the room. Staff was friendly. Luggage storage available as I had an early check out. Highly recommended if you need a place to rest for the night. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel but very dated, staff where very friendly but lack experience id blame that down to management. Bar looks bigger in the picture. Very expensive.
