My mother stayed here recently, I was supposed to travel with her but had to cancel my trip for personal reasons. When she arrived she had video called me appalled at the room conditions as she was showingme around. She mentioned how upset she was because of how rude staff were to her. She also called me a number of times during her weekend stay saying how unsafe she felt and that a strange man who (allegedly) claims he was security had entered her room unannounced and without warning ⚠️ . To say I'm angry at this behaviour and how my mother was treated and felt on her trip is an understatement this place should be ashamed of their poor quality and conditions they expect people to stay in, not only that but of their attitudes and lack of professionalism. Your hospitality is appalling.

Without a doubt the most unsafe place I have ever stayed! On three different occasions the 'hotel manager/security' allowed himself into our room without knocking first. One of those times was in the early hours of the morning when we had eventually got to sleep over the noise, the rooms are not soundproof as claimed. When we complained about him, we were told 'prove it' We left in the middle of the night as we felt frightened and vulnerable. The staff are so rude. The heating didn't work, the window was broken, unable to close, the room was so cold. When we complained we were told there was nothing he could do. The blinds, base of the bed and walls had stains all over them. Nothing like the filtered photos they advertise. We asked for more toilet roll as there was only half a roll in the room when we arrived, we were told to go next door and purchase our own. We got 1 key fob between 4 guests, we asked for more a blonde lady in reception wanted £60 cash for each one. The shower door was hanging off. A small crack in the corner of the skirting boards had silver little insects crawling in & out. We asked for clean towels, we were told there was a fee of £25 per towel. This was not a ‘cheap & cheerful’ hotel, we paid €500 for a two night stay. I regret not taking more photos, although the cleanliness was the least of our worries. Safety and security was more of a concern!

Absolutely shocking experience. Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were noisy, cold and small. "Security" entered room uninvited and without knocking in the middle of the night while we were asleep. Charged us €60 after checkout as they said they room was in an unacceptable condition. When they sent the pictures of proof, there was a bundle of used towels on the floor and a sealed bottle of coke left on the bed. Staff were rude and unhelpful too after complaints were made

When a hotel room has the window wide open in November, it's a bad sign. The whole place had laminate flooring, so lots of sounds and echos. Room 8 stinks of cigarettes, there is no mirror in the room, so no where to do your hair. There is a small mirror in the bathroom/cupboard, which has a light out in it making it too dark to do make up in. The shower is either luke warm or burning. The only redeeming quality is its location. Next time I'm in the area, I will drive so I never stay here again.

Location was close to Liverpool lime Street Station and Liverpool Central. Close to everything since it is central (groceries, pubs, restaurants, shopping area). Checking in and checking out was easy. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Suitable for those who are busy during the day and needs a comfortable room for the night. There is some noise from the nearby pub at night but it wasn't too loud. Lots of charging plug points. Nice couch by the window. Window couldn't be fully closed but was nice to have cool air in the room. Staff was friendly. Luggage storage available as I had an early check out. Highly recommended if you need a place to rest for the night. Would definitely stay here again.

Room is not sound proof and did not match pictures as advertised. I stayed for 2 nights and was woken 3 times during the night. Couldnt fill up water bottle or kettle due to small sink. Room was very warm during the night even with the fan. Staff entered my room to deliver towels when i was out, which i didnt appreciate. Towels should be in room prior to me coming. Shower pressure was terrible. But room was very cheap for location.

Awful. •Stained walls, bedsheets and headboards •Black mould growing in bathroom ceiling •Toilet seat broken •Only provided with two half used toilet rolls •Staff not seeming interested in working there- did not say goodbye or hello at all, sat with feet up and on phone •Cleaning staff were young girls with alcohol in cleaning cupboard and cleaning trollies •Shower hose all mouldy as well as most tiles in the bathroom •Vent in bathroom broken so was extremely hot in there, probably explains the mould •Dirty, sticky floor •Knobbly bed sheets •One of our beds completely broken and creaked all night and had been attempted to be fixed with floorboards and nails sticking straight up into the mattress •Headboards not fitted to the bed •Long winding corridors to get to most rooms •No furniture in rooms, and everything grey like a prison •Batteries cello-taped into the back of the tv remote •Blinds were office-like and broken so did not shut •Windows above these that did not have blinds at all •Previous guests shower gel in shower like it hadn’t been cleaned •Shower knob broken and fell off •Massive LED light sign right outside window •Extremely loud street, couldn’t reach window to shut it •Signs not clear, orginally thought we had to go through a busy pub with intimidating rowdy men smoking outside, however lady inside was very nice and told us directions •Kettle did not fit under the tap •No indication of if the tap water was drinking water •Only given one biscuit for three people :(

AVOID THIS PLACE! 1. The customer service is appalling!!! We have forgotten something in our room and contacted the Inn, asking if they would ship it to our home. They offered to make a shipping arrangement and get in touch with us (1). After not hearing anything for almost three weeks we contacted them again only to hear that they would not send it and never intended to do so, despite offering at first (2). They also never bothered to contact us, which they promised. We then told them we would give a bad review and also decided to then mention bites of bed bugs we received (we did not mention them before as we didn’t want to make a fuss considering we believed the staff to be friendly as they offered a shipment before the turn of events). Following this they had the audacity to call us "mindless" and even suggested we lied about the bed bug bites, despite there being several other guests complaining about them (3), an absolute IMPUDENCE!. The worst part is, if they had been honest from the start and told us they cannot ship it, we could have collected it as we were still in England at the time. But they decided to lie and stay silent for three weeks, which made it impossible for us to collect it. 2. As mentioned before, the beds have BUGS in them and you will get serious bites! (see photo). 3. There was mold in the room too and the sink is so small you can‘t even fill a water bottle. All in all one of the absolute worst places we have stayed at in a while. If we could give zero stars we immediatly would!

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE... WOKE UP WITH FLEA OR BED BUG BITES... Dirty shoe marks on floor. Pubic hair in bed. Dust and dirt everywhere. No curtains. Window don't close. Can't even fill kettle up as don't fit under the tap. Finally got to finally feel to sleep about 4am (as light shining in room due to no curtains) and then me and my family wake to to loads of bites from either bed bugs or fleas. I told staff we been bit and the young girl tried arguing with me, saying I shouldn't be saying in front of customers. Well sort your fleas/bugs out. Disgusting place. I paid for 129sqft room and it was more a 9sqft. Couldn't move. Can't even move to get toilet roll while on loo.

Stayed here for 1 night. How are you supposed to fill a kettle up that doesn’t even fit under the tap 🤦♀️ Woken up covered in bed bug and flea bites. Brought this up to the woman at reception and she was totally rude asking me to keep my voice down to other customers couldn’t hear how disgusting this place is. There was no curtains, foot prints absolutely everywhere. The whole place absolutely stinks. The place was supposed to have been cleaned prior to going also.

Near to the stations central and lime street. Short walk to church street and st John's. Rooms very basic, clean, no seating area, hard to fill kettle for water in sink, only mirror available is in bathroom, shower was a high step in and out. They are not soundproof as suggested. Staff very helpful. No lift, stairs only available to reach rooms. Noisy outside at night, can be heard in rooms.

We stayed here in a ‘double room’ on Taylor Swift’s first night playing Liverpool and to say we were underwhelmed would be an understatement. When you reach the location, it looks as though you need to enter the pub Brownlows Inn which had multiple intimidating people smoking in the doorway. Luckily a lady showed us the actual entrance as it’s not signposted or obvious. Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm, but our rooms weren’t ready and had to wait in a very oddly set up reception that looked as though it used to be a bar at some point with no seats. When we got in to the room, the bed was pushed up against the wall, the window was propped open by a door stop and the extremely small sink was missing a plug and you could see a whole disgusting mess in it. But the overwhelming smell of chip fat coming from the kebab shop directly underneath was the worst! It’s also very noisy with staff shouting at each other early in the morning. It’s also not very clean, even though they try to cover this with the over powering amount of bleach used to mop the floor before we entered. And finally the cost of staying in this was excuse for hotel was £220 per night, total rip off!

We stayed at this hotel for the first time and it was amazing on the first night it was exactly what we wanted and it was very clean. However on the second night we got approached by the rudest man I’ve ever come into contact with in my whole 23 years of living. They were lend to believe we have a 4th person staying in the hotel with us when the hotel was booked for 3. This was not the case, There was a 4th person there celebrating a birthday with us however she had another hotel booked in the area Because of this he kicked us out. This left myself being 23, My Friend being 22 and my Niece 18 (who had only been 18 3 days) left on the streets for 4 hours until the first train with our luggage. He then proceeded to be really intimidating to us while he was checking the room for damage. When we left the hotel we were sat on the bench opposite and he was in the pub making hand gestures to us. I asked him if there was any way we could buy another room and he was refusing and being extremely rude. This was enough to make me never go back and i would highly recommend to anyone to never go. Just to make the whole experience ever worse on the first night we had to used the community toilets in the hotel because our toilet in the hotel was blocked after one person had used it. The toilet was not ever plumbed in correctly and it was hanging off the wall. The mould in bathroom was awful. Luckily for us we were never really in the hotel and only last one night anyway but anyone with chest problems be mindful there is mould.

We were upgraded to a executive room on the 2nd floor and it was lovely and big. There was a huge ensuite bathroom attached, but we feel like it was a bit sparce. Could have done with a desk in the room and maybe a shelf in the bathroom to put our stuff. There were no lifts so please bare this in mind when booking. It was located right in the city centre so great location but a bit loud at night due to being directly above pubs and clubs. Everything was clean and the hotel staff were very welcoming.

First of all I just fancied a break in a different city plus Liverpool has it all the history the footy also the music so I booked this Saturday night for a bargain of a price I read some of the reviews but most were good & for £76 for two nights In a central location to basically everything the train station 8 mins or less about half a dozen lively bars very close by which at first I thought oh no but it honestly does not bother me . I had good communication with Rachel front of desk who was very helpful plus professional that’s always a great start so puts myself at ease so on arrival the reception tapped me in then had a formal greeting in the reception area which looked very nice she then explained everything plus a £50 deposit which was fine she showed me where my room was which was on the top floor the decor of the building added character the paint was pleasant the room on first glance was hmm ok it has the essential s the bed is pretty comfy the toilet snug the shower decent so for the price I can’t really complain but yes the value for money is pretty decent for the location . I can feel myself sinking in the bed which is pretty comfy oh the place is pretty clean n tidy the building from the outside has some amazing architecture to it on first impression s i would definitely come back it’s just ideal for the train station plus everything in good reach plenty of pubs n restaurants.

Great hotel, in an ideal location, close to everything on foot. Access from the airport by city bus takes about 4 minutes, it is worth seeing the city from a different side. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but we receive complaints at the reception or... Like us at the bar next door ;) Great atmospheric place, fantastic service, clean room. There were towels and a dryer. The bed was comfortable. Noises from outside came only through the open window, and it was quiet. I recommend this hotel. I think that if I ever come back to Liverpool I will stay in this hotel.

Came out of the shower to find an inebriated man urinating on my bed after mistaking it for his room/toilet? Upon letting the staff know this they though it was hilarious and gave me a mop to clean it up myself. The management then also claimed I was lying when I mentioned what happened. Stayed there many times and always loved it, but this left a sour taste in my mouth.

Popped in to the pub after a long journey to Liverpool. The barmaid was serving someone when I entered so I smiled at her and sat at the bar, her phone rang so she took the call. This was no bother to me, happy to wait, might be important. After the call she offered some other customers if the wanted another. Then she stood with her back against the wall in plain sight and started a conversation, a number of conversations, with the locals. I left. It’s a very local pub full of old men and wet bar stools I guess she wanted to keep it that way.

Just after the 1st coronavirus pandemic lockdown was lifted and before tier three restrictions were implemented that ultimately led to the 2nd Uk lockdown my twin brother Stephen and I visited Brownlows Pub and what another great time we had in here . I love the look of this pub ,a really nice interior, very pubby, great decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Saturday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we chose to have a guinness each ,these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our guinness. My guinness was really good,a rich ,thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a really refreshing guinness on a hot afternoon. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on, had a great time . The Brownlows Inn is easy to locate down Mount Pleasant. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area. The Brownlows Pub is easy to locate along

Lunes - Domingo - 11. 00-23. 00.

Walking down Mount Pleasant you come to three pubs side by side ,they are Riley's Bar, The Beehive Pub and The Brownlows Inn and as it was lashing down with rain when we were here my twin brother Stephen and I visited all three. The Brownlows Inn is a nice pub,a good tradition interior, the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, good decorative scheme, interesting features to look at ,tv's to enjoy the sport and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a good old fashioned locals pub. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon, pub was busy with a nice vibe, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name, phone number or email address to assist with the governments track and trace system, sanitised our hands and ordered a beer each, we chose Carling beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. This pub has a good community feel to it,good banter and staff who take time out to make sure everything is ok with your visit here. My beer was good,a light and hoppy lager style beer bursting taste ,when served iced cold as in this pub its such a refreshing beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Brownlows Inn is easy to locate along Mount Pleasant. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A really good pub,if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.
