Pumphouse in Liverpool

Had a fantastic experience at the pump house pub, the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to make are visit a good one. Chantelle was brilliant and gave us some great advice on other places to visit during our stay in Liverpool, I would highly recommend this pub for a visit and the food was amazing.

This old building has great character and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to help make it a thoroughly enjoyable evening. My friends and I will certainly be visiting this pub again.

We wanted and evening meal having been exploring Albert dock and surrounding environs, this was Sunday. In the pub we asked but all Sunday Roast had been sold out. The bar could not apologise more, explaining it had been really busy in the afternoon I felt a bit bad as not exactly end of world stuff for us. The pub is converted Victorian pump house, inside looks a nice pub. There was seating area upstairs, we sat down stairs. I do judge a place by the toilets, and the Pumphouse toilets, well the boys were clean and well maintained not grubby at all. As for the food we ordered hot tasty and nice so need for roast after all. Staff friendly and wanted to serve us.

Absolutely beautiful food,so delicious & a decent portion,myself & my husband visited on 15/1/25 in the evening & loved the restaurant....Matthew served me at the bar,brought our food to us,asked us was everything ok,he was wonderful we have to say.

This is a lovely pub, the staff are so friendly and helpful. We have a sharing platter which was very nice. would recommend a visit here.

Stopped off here for a quick drink whilst doing a treasure trail around Liverpool. Nice busy atmosphere and the festive berry cocktails were delish.

We had to change the time of our booking twice due to delays on n fights and trains. Nothing was. A problem and the staff accommodated us .Food was Beautiful very reasonable staff was lovely especially Matt. Matt looked after us from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Good place to try fish and chips, well-served, maybe the best that I tried during my trip in GB, there are many types of beers, the attention was good.

Wanted a lovely pub experience and we got it! Fish and chips (of course) and Lager and Lime were perfect. Service was lovely. Location was great and atmosphere authentic.

Been to Liverpool many times and have had drinks here but never had food! oh my word today we had steak and ale pie with mash and cabbage it was absolutely devine, we would definitely recommend. Service was very good staff really friendly and polite.

We organized a family dinner for 30 people with Natalie and couldn't have been happier. Natalie did a phenomenal job from start to end ensuring meal orders were taken in advance and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Elle was AMAZING for food and drink service even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Elle was super pleasant, personable and efficient. Kudos to the team! Highly recommend.

Arrived for lunch at the Pump House and from the moment we arrived, we felt so very welcome! The food was good, but the staff made the visit, they were so helpful and smiling, particularly Aidan, Luke and (I think) Matt, they really made it their business to keep us happy. Really enjoyed our little visit, thank you.

Great atmosphere, lovely place to enjoy during the sunny days. Definitely should be on your list of pubs to visit in Liverpool.

Lovely place, extremely friendly staff, but food was a letdown, visited in previous years and the menu was more extensive then, pub grub at its best ,not a great choice on this visit and when our food arrived it was lukewarm, very dissapointed this visit.

During the bustling lunar new year festivities, Merseyside Water Rescue a charity found themselves in need of a helping hand when it came to satisfying their hunger. That's when they came to the Pump House, and what a fortunate discovery it was! The staff at the Pump House went above and beyond, demonstrating incredible kindness and generosity to ensure that MWR received a delicious meal exactly when they needed it. As they savored their food between performances of the mesmerizing dragon shows, the MWR team couldn't help but express their deepest gratitude to the remarkable staff at the Pump House. Stayed nearby for 2 nights. First visited for drinks, lovely bar. The barman was knowledgeable regarding the locally brewed beer. We returned the second day for lunch. Food to a high standard and tasty. Waitress lovely and friendly. Will deffo return again next time we are visiting.

Situé en plein sur le quai le plus touristique de Liverpool, « Albert Dock », nous craignions un restaurant un peu aseptisé. Ce n’est pas le cas du tout. La clientèle, en ce dimanche de fin janvier, était surtout locale. Le service très avenant (cf proposition de goûter les bières avant de choisir). La carte est plus étoffée qu’un pub « de base ». Nous avons adoré le porc en cuisson lente avec sa peau croustillante. Le poulet Kyiv et le burger au cheddar vieilli sont aussi très bien. Les 3 plats + 3 pintes pour 73 euros. Pas donné donc mais pas trop cher compte tenu de l’emplacement et du cadre (vieille station de pompage transformée en restaurant). Nous conseillons

After a wonderful day of sight seeing with the dogs, we were starting to feel hungry so we Google 'dog friendly restaurants' and The Pump House came up. We went in and sat down and we then decided on what to eat. Our order comes and it was amazing! Literally the best burger I've ever had. We also ordered desserts after we had finished our main course and they too were amazing. Shout out to Chantelle and Ste for their wonderful customer service, making sure our visit was spot on. Whenever we're back in Liverpool we will be sure to give The Pump House another visit. Dogs or not 😊

My wife and me decided to pop in here for a bite to eat before we left Liverpool (saw this place was dog friendly). I am normally very picky and can be awkward but I can NOT fault this place, the staff were very friendly but to be honest I expect that from Liverpudlians and very attentive. Chantelle and Ste were very attentive and I cannot fault the food whatsoever it was PERFECTION.

Attended for a work’s reunion and booked a table prior to visiting. The service, from the original phone call to Steve, to the bar staff, food etc was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Thanks to all.

Went to the Pump House for Sunday roast but unfortunately, they didn’t have any roast so had the Pork belly which I enjoyed. Our table was upstairs and the service was quick. The atmosphere was pleasant an I would recommend this establishment.
