Pumphouse in Liverpool

Enjoyed a relaxed lunch with friends visiting Liverpool for a college reunion. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was of a good standard, reasonably priced and everyone enjoyed it. Would visit again.

From the moment we walked into the venue, the welcome was warm and friendly. Sue served us with a smile taking time to ensure we were satisfied with our order. Our food came in good time. It was amazing. The whole team, including Sue and Charlene ensured we were happy and content with our whole experience. Would thoroughly recommend and visit again.

Looking for somewhere dog friendly for lunch. Found this place in Albert docs. What prompted me to write this review was the incredible service from the staff. They made a real fuss of our little dog. What a credit to the firm. Lunch was wonderful, reasonably priced.

The waiters and waitresses here at the pump house were great. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to waiter and waitresses Callum, Chantelle and Natalie.. All so friendly. Big love.

We had the most delightful time at the Pump House today enjoying tea. Our server, Natalie, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. Her warm and welcoming demeanor truly made our visit a pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by to experience their hospitality firsthand!

We’re not natives of Liverpool, but we lunch here whenever we’re in town. The food is always acceptable, as is the service, but on the past two occasions we have dined here, we have had the great fortune to have been ‘handled’ by Maxine (I’m hoping that’s her name) The place is family friendly, and that’s cool, but we have done all that, and now prefer a little quieter, child friendly experience. The first time we encountered Maxine, was when she second guessed our anxiety that our per-booked table was adjacent to a table of bawling children, so found us (without us asking) a ‘quieter’ table. Today we encountered her again, when we rocked up to a pre-booked table for 2 with a plus one - ‘No problem’ said Maxine, and again, found us a situation suitable to our requirements. The Pump House does what is says on the tin, but Maxine is the glue that holds that tin together. Thank you.

Visited whilst having a few days away in Liverpool. Good food, decent drinks, does exactly what it says on the tin! Staff were friendly too! Good location as well being right within the docks!

During the bustling lunar new year festivities, Merseyside Water Rescue a charity found themselves in need of a helping hand when it came to satisfying their hunger. That's when they came to the Pump House, and what a fortunate discovery it was! The staff at the Pump House went above and beyond, demonstrating incredible kindness and generosity to ensure that MWR received a delicious meal exactly when they needed it. As they savored their food between performances of the mesmerizing dragon shows, the MWR team couldn't help but express their deepest gratitude to the remarkable staff at the Pump House. It's clear that their exceptional service made a significant impact, and MWR extends their biggest thank you to the Pump House for their unwavering support during a memorable lunar new year celebration.

Stayed nearby for 2 nights. First visited for drinks, lovely bar. The barman was knowledgeable regarding the locally brewed beer. We returned the second day for lunch. Food to a high standard and tasty. Waitress lovely and friendly. Will deffo return again next time we are visiting.

Situé en plein sur le quai le plus touristique de Liverpool, « Albert Dock », nous craignions un restaurant un peu aseptisé. Ce n’est pas le cas du tout. La clientèle, en ce dimanche de fin janvier, était surtout locale. Le service très avenant (cf proposition de goûter les bières avant de choisir). La carte est plus étoffée qu’un pub « de base ». Nous avons adoré le porc en cuisson lente avec sa peau croustillante. Le poulet Kyiv et le burger au cheddar vieilli sont aussi très bien. Les 3 plats + 3 pintes pour 73 euros. Pas donné donc mais pas trop cher compte tenu de l’emplacement et du cadre (vieille station de pompage transformée en restaurant). Nous conseillons

Muy buen ambiente y comida más que correcta. Precios en linea con los de la parte turística de la ciudad. Comimos carne de cerdo, realmente buena. Selección de cervezas impecable y servicio muy agradable. Recomendable, el edificio en el que está es muy bonito

After a wonderful day of sight seeing with the dogs, we were starting to feel hungry so we Google 'dog friendly restaurants' and The Pump House came up. We went in and sat down and we then decided on what to eat. Our order comes and it was amazing! Literally the best burger I've ever had. We also ordered desserts after we had finished our main course and they too were amazing. Shout out to Chantelle and Ste for their wonderful customer service, making sure our visit was spot on. Whenever we're back in Liverpool we will be sure to give The Pump House another visit. Dogs or not 😊

My wife and me decided to pop in here for a bite to eat before we left Liverpool (saw this place was dog friendly). I am normally very picky and can be awkward but I can NOT fault this place, the staff were very friendly but to be honest I expect that from Liverpudlians and very attentive. Chantelle and Ste were very attentive and I cannot fault the food whatsoever it was PERFECTION.

Attended for a work’s reunion and booked a table prior to visiting. The service, from the original phone call to Steve, to the bar staff, food etc was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Thanks to all.

Went to the Pump House for Sunday roast but unfortunately, they didn’t have any roast so had the Pork belly which I enjoyed. Our table was upstairs and the service was quick. The atmosphere was pleasant an I would recommend this establishment.

Visit Portsmouth, Gloucester and London for examples and you will find similar pubs located on waterfronts. Beer good at this one (couple of top ups needed) and generally good service. However very much a typical pub of its location and quite busy.
