Been here for a few coffee s, always good, friendly staff. Lovely views over Queen's park. Good facilities. Very relaxing, dogs welcome.

Chicken pasty......minus the chicken! I remember whem Mars bars were 6" long and when the way a company made money was to be good at what they did! It seems that nowadays they just cut out the expensive ingredients.....sad, was so looking forward to that! :)

Great place for picking up women with more kids than teeth,op till late with great barstaff

Very unwelcoming bar with pedantic bar staff. We attended on New Year’s Day and the bar staff asked our son/girlfriend (both 26) for their ID, no problem with that but then asked them again 4/5 times every time they went to the bar, ridiculous customer service. When asked why, after 2/3 times, they said they could be buying drink for someone else, even though we, a family of four, were clearly within sight of the bar.

A strange experience. We had a voucher for afternoon tea for two. Although the website states you don’t have to book, we called anyway to check this was the case. They confirmed we didn’t need to book. When we arrived later that day we were told they were short staffed in the kitchen so couldn’t serve afternoon tea. They then backtracked & said they could if that was all we wanted! Our food arrived almost immediately suggesting it was already prepared so I’m confused as to why they originally said they couldn’t serve it?? The afternoon tea was delicious and there was plenty of it. Shop generally a bit tired, and in need of some refurbishment.

Been there a few times with family or friends and every single time, it lacked quality and taste. Just wasn’t anywhere as good as others on the same road. Seating is nice but the desserts are so poor and not worth the money.

Not a lot on shelves, if you want to save don't go there or you will end up overpaying and if you gone there to grab a pizza forget about it ... no one there to serve you . Very disappointed. Never will go there again ... what's the point ?

Love the food here especially the meza, unfortunately 3 times we've ordered this and they've missed our order and we've had to wait over 30 minutes, always having to ask were our order is .we're always offered a free drink but would just rather have our food.

A cheerful welcome in the cafe at the till by a very friendly lady. I decided to give the breakfast another chance having been disappointed the last time I went. Things had not improved. I was the first person to order at 9am and my full English breakfast came to me very quickly 6 or 7 minutes later. Quick but too quick as everything but the fried egg was at best lukewarm. The bacon was leathery and it seemed that the ingredients were just warmed up from the day before. Too quick a service to be served freshly cooked especially first of the morning and, if it was re heated it needed a lot longer in the microwave. This was the same experience as I had last time unfortunately. I feel there is not enough care given to the food or customer satisfaction.

Good service and very nice apple crumble with custard, all staff were polite and helpful, will call again.also grandson had a lovely ice cream he said it was the best he had tasted.

Spot on,good service with great prices. Why are they selling such a popular pub. It was bad enough selling the gold mine that was New Brighton,are they losing the plot. The Mockbeggar is always busy compared with the other pubs in Moreton. They will live to regret this silly decision. Thank you Mockbeggar for all the happy memories over the years.

Me and my boyfriend ordered drinks we sat down inside and we were told to leave by the manager. Her reason was apparently we didn’t order anything even when we ordered drinks and she judge me by being stereotypical just because I was black saying I looked like the type to mess around and what I was wearing and thought that I was some sort of threat but all I was just trying to do was order and sit down and relax with my boyfriend. I had no intention to harm or mess around my intention only was to order a drink. It made me feel down and kind of impact my day because as myself and my boyfriend are autistic so we never understood what we did wrong. My boyfriend confronted them about it and as soon as he brought up corporate their tried to ask us to come back which my boyfriend refused and she tried to ask if we would like a free drink which my boyfriend got me a iced tea but free drink doesn't solve the problem. Now every time when I walk past the starbucks I just can’t even go back there because of the situation but that’s life unfortunately but please don’t go here it’s horrible.
