Asda in Barrow-in-Furness

Brilliant,I love going to Asda it's very good in the place we have.Barrow in Furness Cumbria.

Great choice of fresh fruit and vegetables. Good home and leisure department. Great prices, good availability and no queues

Loved the staff and the store, only problem is getting onto the road leaving the store, could probably do with traffic lights

Please clean the toilets, the sticky floor nearly pulled my shoes off.

What’s going on with the smell of drains in the biscuit lane? If you’re not going to sort it then perhaps move the food away from it and put I dunno the toilet roll down that aisle? Oh and whose idea was the toys that make the farting noises? Is that supposed to be funny? Why are the shelves always bare? Staff decent enough but let down by their working conditions

Love to shop here, but I do go later so it's much less busy as I'm disabled, the staff are absolutely brilliant always happy and helpful

Awful smell of sewage on the biscuit aisle and surrounding area. Been like this for well over a month or more. Not returning until it’s fixed as made me feel sick and put off buying food.

Very rude staff. Till 3. We all have to work. A smile would not go amiss. Nor sarky comments, thats not to mention the woman on the hot food counter playing on her phone and left me waiting. You think your life is bad. I work in a pub. I wouldn't even give it a 1 star but it made me do so just to post this. Barrow in furness.

Felt about as welcome at Asda Cafe as a bull in a china shop! No customer service, no welcome, no smile. People in queue behind me asked for breakfast but were flatly told "breakfast is no longer being served". Then met with stare and finger tapping! I politely informed the customers of the all day brunch option which was as close to a breakfast you can get. All 5 of them opted for this. Comes to something when customers give more customer service than the miserable staff. I shall never return; far better, friendlier places to eat.

Store assistant Sarah C. Went above and beyond to help us yesterday in store. Struggling to get a photograph printed from the instore machine, Sarah took charge of the situation. We were so pleased to obtain a great print, as left to our own devices this would never have been the case. Thank-you Sarah C. For your time kindness, and skill.

After ringing repeatedly using various menu options I've yet to speak to someone, Absolutely abysmal service. Strike that non existing customer service.

How anyone shops in here when you get the same stuff half price across the road at the cheap shops is a mystery also needs a good cleaning

Getting alot more expensive reccently and shelves are more empty than they used to be. However this this the store that we mainly shop at, its convenient staff could be friendlier but its clean and we know where everything is

The disabled changing room and disabled toilet are not fit for purpose I was unable to use the changing room on Thursday 09/03/23 as it was full of clothing rails, I asked a member of staff if they could move them our for me and they said no. It is the same with the toilet I have asked numerous times for the key at the cigarette counter and they have said the cleaner has it, not good enough 😑 Barriw Asda it needs sorting out

Staff are an absolute joke! The staff at the kiosk are just lazy, bad mannered and can never be bothered to do anything! Their attitude stinks as does their body odours! Seriously, deodorant is not a bad thing! I was at the self service today, 7/3/23 at 16.45 and this short green haired staff member starting giving me attitude! The till was going daft and he was blaming me! I am going back to educate him after work. The staff are just sloppy, lazy and with Seriously bad attitude! Yes, Tesco is amazing compared to Asda but this is ridiculous! If you do go to Barrow-in-Furness asda, make sure you ware a hasmat suit and breathing apparatus as the stench is bad!

Need more baskets on wheels, but overall a pleasent shopping trip was experienced. Staff always happy to help.

Loads of parking, a decent price on petrol and diesel, all the normal superstore goods and produce.

No Jacob's Cream Crackers - where all doomed Christmas Crisis

The two of us had a 'mini breakfast' (bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, baked beans, hash brown), 2 slices of toast and a mug of tea for £6 each. Good food, value and service.

Last few times I've been its been exactly like this a right mess! Never bother looking at stuff when it's such a mess like that stuff on the floor it's a accident waiting to happen someone tripping over things. & it's not just these aisles that are like this the whole store generally looks a mess.

Have shopped in Asda for decades, it hasn't changed much. Got the 25% off when buying 6 bottles of wine so a well timed visit.

Visited ASDA inBarrow in furness today the level of customer service was a disgrace,the toilet facilities were dirty and smelled.there were no small trolleys or baskets inside come on Asda your store is a disgrace will definitely use the number 1 Tesco sorry 😞

When not preferred pizza available at pizza counter, told to fill a form in of required ingredients!! Just wanted 2 steak and cheese pizzas... absolutely ridiculous.. then 15 to 20 minutes for them to be made up!!! Seemed plenty of staff around ... forget it went elsewhere.. utter joke...

15 minutes I've Currently been stood in the que waiting for a pizza. The old lady who makes the pizzas behind the counter is talking and talking and talking. Unbelievabley slow at her job! I don't mean to be offensive but she should be sacked

Do NOT use Asda online delivery! The driver supposedly arrived early and then cancelled my order (without contacting me) when nobody answered. I was home over an hour before my time slot and my housemate has been home all day and neither of us heard anything. Only found out it was cancelled 3 hours later when I finally managed to talk to an actual person on the phone and all I got was a generic apology. I've also had other frequent issues with Asda online delivery (from several stores, not just Barrow) including terrible communication, ridiculous subs (eg. meat as a sub for a vegetarian meal) and waiting over a week for refunds. Today is my limit though, I won't be ordering from them again.

Visiting my home town for the first time in a while and popped into the Asda for a few bits. What a dump! Not sure who is doing the cleaning for the store but they want sacked! Floors are pitted and streaky with what can only be described as dirty tyre marks! Total disgrace. I left my shopping and walked out in disgust.

Popped in for a spot of lunch. Cheerful, helpful staff. Lunch was decent, the jacket potatoes are nice with salad.

Dirty tables have to clean them yourself at times. Meals are not that great sometimes the chips are raw or look like they need throwing out. Dissatisfied customer will eat else where from now on.

Went in the store on Friday when visiting the area and used the male toilets. The smell of urine was awful. Will not be shopping there again. 🤢

Mismanaged. A sell out to a conglomerate. I tried to call the store to donate clothing to Ukraine Suggested by the samaritans, my call was redirected and then cut off. When did people not matter? Zero stars though the app had me post one in order for me to comment. I only wanted to ask if there was a a collection point. Wouldn't shop there if my life depended on it.

I went to the self service till last Saturday and the language was set for Welsh....it was like reading Greek

Staff member went above & beyond her duty to help find what I was looking for and I would put Emma forward for promotion or a special reward it great when you get a member of staff willing. To help what ever it takes I felt appetited as a customer. Customer service could not help enough either . I would recommend this store. Thanks to Emma and all staff for a fantastic service.

Went as usual to get big eat crusty cobs only to find none but instead smaller ones which the lady said they are the big eat ones well they are half the size not impressed at all and was told they were sent in there's no baking in-store now a lot of people were looking for them to so it wasn't just me come on asda give us our favourite cobs back let's hope they taste better than they look a very dissatisfied customer

Visited Asda cafe recently and the service was very poor. There was one lady on shift which seem to be taken payments, cooking, plating and doing the drinks as well as running the food and drinks and not once did I see her wash her hands... We waited 15 minutes to be served, the lady didn't mention anything to us about not having anything off the menu, she just gave us attitude and a disgusted look even though we were very polite after waiting so long with nobody in the queue! We received our food (for 2) which also took about 25 minutes, the breakfast was missing 1 hash brown, mushrooms and black pudding! Due to the wait we didn't want to bother the lady and wait any longer so we starting eating. 20 minutes later, a couple then sat next to us and ordered the same breakfast but received extra food as they didn't have black pudding, (in which we was not told), they also got their mushrooms, 2 hash browns each and an extra sausage each instead of the black pudding! As a paying customer I hope you can see the frustration and maybe your staff need a training or talking too.

Went while on holiday.was in the clothing department looking at coats.went to find staff for help.they were so rude to me.you carnt try cloths there are signs everywhere.we are following boris's rules.that coat will have to go into isolation now. We dont know who's got what.rules are you can try on.cloths supposed to be steam cleaned that's tried.asda big enough company to take this onboard.but not only did one member of staff verbally attack me.then another woman started.they are lucky to have a job without being rude they need the sack.

We had some falaffels and they were less than satisfactory to say the least.

ASDA is reet, The chicken Caesar wraps are quality, worth a sample. Nicer store than Tesco-Death Camp and far more fitte Mcvities in Asda as well.

Well, where do I start with Asda Barrow. I started working at Asda Barrow on a temporary contract during the pandemic, I was placed on to the Home shopping department as many people were then staying away from the store and getting their shopping delivered. My first 2 weeks at Asda resulted in 12 hour shifts (some days even longer) because of the pure lack of organisation. After nearly two weeks of long hours I finally had my first day off. Shifts would normally start at 2am which meant I would regularly see the night shift staff, I now know why they work at night and not when customers are in store, many would swear and shout abuse at new starters particularly a ‘lady’ called Andrea (who threatened to punch me in the face if I got too close to her). Many staff at Asda Barrow were not friendly to the new starters including myself especially the assistant manager who genuinely seemed like a playground bully. A few weeks in we were told we would be receiving a bonus for all of our hard work and for working strenuous hours during these unprecedented times by several members of staff and management and THE MANAGER HIMSELF only to find out a few days before that me and many new starters were exempt from the bonus as the cut off date for it was the 15th March (clearly that date on purpose as we were all taken on by the 21st of March). I would recommend that people stay away from this store, it has no remorse for its staff for putting their lives on the line so I can’t imagine it has much more for its customers. They show no gratitude to staff for starting at ridiculous hours, and can happily tell their staff their getting bonuses to then backtrack on their statement a few day’s before payday- not to mention- the spike in money has arguable come from the increase in demand for home shopping and unfortunately me and most of the home shoppers won’t be receiving any of it. I would also recommend that if anyone is looking for a job do no apply to work here!

Catch it at the right time when not too busy,after 7pm

Called in for a lunch, a pretty long Q which and a long wait. Tables were uncleared and no forks had to waite ages. the quality of the food was horrible, dried up, looked as though it had been lieing about for ages. Staff very pleasant.

Really disappointed today at asda cafe in barrow , it was busy but the staff were not organised and didn't seem to have any system to manage the queue so consequently I waited almost 20 mins just to get a cup so I could have a drink. And I don't like the high covered food area at all, you can't see the food so can't pick what you want and I am sure it doesn't reduce wastage at all. NOT happy

I am a Google reviewer and I travel around the UK to find good hotels and restaurants. I used to be a head chef at a leading chain of restaurants in the UK so I know what I am talking about. I know alot about business and how to run one.And give them honest reviews and here are my findings. Night staff are very rude and will not help much most have headphones in so can hear you. You do get alot of the time missing items from your home delivery service BUT they will fix for you very quick asda has apologise for this and now if I get any one that asks for advice I get them to ask for Joe from home delivery as he is brilliant and he will get it solved for you rather fast.

I can say that this was the worst toasted sandwich I have ever had the misfortune to eat,it was so hard rendering it inedible for fear of dental breakage

With my car at a local garage I thought I'd chilli at the café for a bit. I must have came after a bad rush, or staff are just lazy. Hopefully the former. Most tables had some sort of rubbish on them. Anyway coffee was ok, drinkable and the server was friendly. That's the least I can want.

My pal and I called in about 1145 for a brew and lite bite, the place was awful, dirty uncleared tables, dirty trays and the crockery was a bit iffy. All we wanted was a bun no but sausage or bacon, 15 min wait. Service was so slow and the quaility of our food we had was poor to. Coffee out of the machine was only warm and when my pal asked if we could have a warm one the staff member stated it wouldn't make any difference as it was always like that. A bad experience to be honest. Poor value under the circumstances.

Friendly helpful staff but the store is let down by the front entrance where the doors are so narrow it's hard to get in or out, especially when it's raining with more people milling about, the doors either need widening or a set of door's making in only and the other set out only. The other problems I have with this store are half empty shelves and at night time the stock pallets being pushed right up to the produce so you can't get to it. Then, you have the freezer lights going off at 10 pm (even though the store doesn't close until 12) making it hard to see the products you were going to buy.

Cafe advertises all day breakfast which my wife and I ordered to be brought out bacon,egg and chips...? Then told we can't have a breakfast as the menu has changed and is no longer available, despite the fact that a couple on the next table is eating a breakfast. And then asked " do you not want this anyway?" Error no... I wanted a breakfast

I like the clothes and the variety of produce. I choose Asda over the other local supermarkets.

Had breakfast here while staying locally at a hotel. Food was great and really good price. Staff were very helpful and polite. Reasonable price for a full English.

Asds chemist barrow.in.furness today...saw chemist this am..very helpful and smiling.. wanted some cream for chilblains put it on when i got home the relief was fantastic thank you chemist....no wonder i had chilblains the amount of walking i did looking for stuff that had been moved ...LEAVE SHELVES ALONE ASDA

As a disabled pensioner I find the service and prices very good. The mobility scooters are a much needed facility. My only problem is that I find it very difficult to collect a key and then having to unplug one! Otherwise I would have scored 5 stars .

I shop in Asda at least twice a week and its always busy. Staff are very attentive. Its a great supermarket.

Well what a disappointment, we called into the Asda Store on Walney Road Barrow, for a bite to eat and a descent mug of coffee, before we did a spot of shopping, well the Asda Store in it's self is most welcoming as any grocery store can be, but whow it can't be said of the Cafe! which is any thing but! the selection of food is anything but great, minimal gives a better over view, the welcoming is well more than disappointing, the ambience leaves alot to be desired, while the soup was pleasant enough it was anything but hot! sereved in a cereal bowl and it should have been served with a brown bread roll, our's came with a slice of brown bread, and charged extra for a tiny pat of butter! and not even on a plate, as for the vending machine area for one's beverage least said the better. While I may vist this Asda Store again for groceries I'll never ever step foot into that cheerless Cafe again, I understand that possibly this cafe is a franchise but I assure you that it isn't doing you (Asda) any favour's
