Today was the first visit since it reopened as a cafe/restaurant. Serving breakfast, snacks & main meals. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely young man, he was friendly & professional. Hubby had a no.1 breakfast, which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 slices of black pudding, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. I had a no.2 which was 1 of everything no black pudding & 2 halves of fried tomatoes, plenty of mushrooms (my favourite) We had 4 slices of toast, 2 cafetières of tea, with a biscuit on the side, then when we had finished the young man brought us a Turkish dessert. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated & welcoming. Thank you we enjoyed it & will return.

Well worth the detour to what seems not to be an island but apparently is. There’s a lifeboat station at the end of the road, open on certain weekends for tours. The ferry was going over to Piel Island but we didn’t have time, just admired the views. Unfortunately the café was closed.

The meat is outstanding the pie and peas are the best in town as well. Not potato and meat pies but meat and potatoes! Must give a try!

Buen trabajo Steve!

Would say that this restaurant is a rather different place on Match Days but I avoid them & really enjoy meals there. A special meal for pensioners is a really welcome. Children seem to be welcome.

If you are ever in the area, you need to call here. The most amazing and beautiful cupcakes and ice creams, just the way they should be. A little gem on the high street which I am sure is going places. Watch this space.

This is my second review for this pub. It's a fabulous spot to visit on a trip to a little island. It has changed hands since my last visit. Food is no longer served, but there are plenty of crisps, chocolate bars etc, so you won't starve ! Lots of outdoor seating to look at the view. A must

My cousin told me about this place. He is here working from Houston and eats there frequently. I got the Highlander and it was amazingly delicious. I went back a couple days later and got the turkey sliders and the banana pudding pound cake and all I could say is wow. Every tastebuds in my mouth was stimulated the sliders were awesome and filling. The cake was moist fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside just like I live my pound cakes. These cakes reminded me of home in Alabama at Christmas when my grandmother baked them! I highly recommend this place! It has limited seating if you want to eat there and you can park on the side street servhce www great and quick! Thank me later!
