Would say that this restaurant is a rather different place on Match Days but I avoid them & really enjoy meals there. A special meal for pensioners is a really welcome. Children seem to be welcome.

Been several times and mostly the Steaks are a delight, with onion rings, toms and the Pepper Corn sauce, very reasonable prices, especially on the Wednesdays. There was one occasion the steak was chewy and grisly, i did eat it and i sort of enjoyed it but not as much as previous times. I did mention to the owner, and he was very apologetic and he did say, i should have returned it. This is a tribute to a dear friend who lost his battle to Cancer and he highly rated The Vic Tavern, and it was him to suggested I try it and I will certainly return very soon. Sam B.
