Considering the coffee shop is adjacent to a ruin, I was expecting your average, tourist offering. I was happily surprised. We ordered baguettes, which seemed more like paninis. They were flavorful. I had bacon, brie & cranberry. The flat white hit the spot. And we shared a Victoria sponge cake that was our least favorite. Nevertheless, when you're with good friends, it makes for an even better lunch. Open Wednesdays - Sundays, 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Lovely wee pub. We stopped in whilst in the area briefly. Very warm inside and we received a very warm friendly welcome by the regulars who were very nice to us and our dogs

Fantastic establishment, me and my family go all the time and the hard work the team are putting in really shows. The pub has gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months

had a roast 2 weeks ago was ok but the veg / bagged casserole microwave stuff was not fit for a roast, aubergiene mushrooms celeriac and god knows whatever else. decided not to review and let it lie, went today 2 weeks after and one scoop of icecream for a child even tho I stated larger portion was £6 for a scoop which a sm@ck head could fit on his spoon. shame as I'm local and they are destroying a once very profitable pub

Lovely Pub, great beer, lots of history! I’d say a must visit in Dalton. Charlie the bar man was so polite, young staff with a brilliant positive attitude, great to see! 👍
