Great welcoming public house.....the landlord and landlady were awesome..... and having Amex was an absolute lifesaver (first customer to use too) Anyways having cold caffreys served on draft was a blast from the past too.... loved it. See you guys again soon

A very old establishment with limited choice of beer and ales but plenty of spirits. Friendly people and probably the only pub in rampside burrow on furnace.

Great little pub with good beer and friendly people. Group of 8 of us called in for a pint during a walk whilst on holiday. We were welcomed in to the warmth, enjoyed a couple of games of pool and then were on our way again. Lovely little local pub!

Este es un lugar agradable y acogedor con un ambiente agradable, comida y bebida. Al pasar una noche en Rampside decidimos ir al único local para comer y beber. Estar fuera de temporada no estaba tan ocupado, así que tenía toda la atención de los anfitriones. A pesar de que algunos lugareños estaban viendo al equipo de fútbol local en la televisión, no se sintió como si se hubiera apoderado del lugar y pudo encontrar un rincón tranquilo y agradable al lado del fuego. La comida era muy buena y de un menú sencillo con una selección para niños, todo de muy buena calidad a un precio muy decente. Deafly lo recomendaría y volvería de nuevo.

Cuando el clima es agradable y soleado, es genial caminar o andar en bicicleta por la antigua línea de Roose y detenerse en el Concle para tomar una copa. Por lo general, nos sentamos afuera y disfrutamos del ambiente de las personas que pasan. Un montón de paseadores de perros y familias en un día. No solo puedes obtener una bebida alcohólica sino que también puedes tomarte una buena taza de café.

Very friendly old pub that serves food. We visited two nights when we received a wsrm welcome and drink prices were very cheap. It is an old building with a roaring open fire that makes it very comfortable. I would recommend this place to friends and family

Vine aquí para el almuerzo después de visitar Furness Abbey. Era un lunes a mediodía, así que, como era de esperar, allí estaba tranquilo, a la llegada se encendió el fuego de leña y nos recibió una cálida bienvenida de parte de la dueña, un hombre de la zona y su perro. Viniendo de Cambridge ya no vuelvo a pestañear cuando ordeno una pinta de cerveza y me cobran casi un fiver por ello. Así que fue realmente sorprendente que una pinta fuera solo 2. 80! ! El menú de comida era lo que describiría como un clásico pub grub: gammon, gambas, hamburguesa, lasaña, etc. Y todo alrededor de la marca 7. Tuve el scampi, era super sabroso. Vino con papas fritas, guisantes y una hermosa ensalada. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar para parar si quieres un almuerzo abundante y una cálida bienvenida.

Was staying in Roa House went there for dinner a few times .We were a large group of 12 but the landlady accommodated us with no problem .Lovely food ,very welcoming wish we had somewhere down our way like this 😊

Nice friendly pub Good food and reasonable prices Real Fire, pool table and its right next to Rampside causeway leading to stunning Roe & Piel Island. It's a lovely drive to it too along the coast road from Ulverston to Rampside. There's also a walking/bike trial and access to the beach 😊

We were doing some survey work at low tide by the lifeboat station. Saw this place on the way there, had to look it up to see if it did food. Must rely on it's reputation as there is no sign outside. Obviously a local pub, friendly, a bit basic, but comfortable and difficult to get away from the ubiquitous TV sets. However food was excellent (hygene rating 5) Lamb shank for £7.75 ....you have to be joking! Menu is not extensive, but something for everyone. Well pleased.

Only just down the road from the Clarkes hotel ..cheaper alcohol ..friendly staff members .nice seating area outside as it was hot and sunny thats what we did..locals drank here most evenings ..they do food but can't comment as we didn't eat here. Nice little pub

1st February 18 Whilst we was touring in our Motorhome; we was looking for something to eat. Looking at other establishments locally who seem over the top on their food pricing. We found this Gem; OMG Real fire ; Friendly landlady and landlord ; Friendly Locals right next to the Sea.. Just what we was looking for. Pub closed at 5 then reopened at 7pm... SO GLAD We waited for the pub to re'open.. Loads of choice on the menu and also had a special board including desert. We went for homemade cheese burger with chips and Whole tail Scampi and chips salad. Food was Amazing !!! Proper big fat chips, everything was cooked and served to perfection. Wished we could of stayed for longer. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back one day on our travels.

Rented huge house on Roa Island. Walked down to Concle Inn. Landlord made us very welcome. There were 12 of us. Some had soft drinks, some beer/wine and others not drinks. Nothing was too much bother. Roaring fire (extremely good being as it was very cold outside). Locals also very welcoming. Highly recommended. We did not eat as We had just had brunch at the house.

If you are visiting Foulney drop in for a pint. Great fire. Basic but engaging, serves a lovely Sunday lunch but booking essential.

We went for a walk and found this pub. Very friendly cosy and great service. The staff and management were very nice and my husband had a few games of pool with the landlord. The drinks were very very reasonable compared to Clarke's where we were staying.

spent 2 nights in rampside and had 2 delicous meals here . lovely home cooked good quality food at very reasonable prices. very homely surroundings and very friendly and welcoming staff. lovely to sit outside in the sun and take in the lovely views across the bay. we will return if in this area again

Nos visita a menudo, pero no a menudo comer aquí. Hemos observado la comida sale, así que en un almuerzo de domingo que decidimos probarlo. i first went to the concle inn some two years ago while working with a local man named jack, we were working at his house in barrow in furnace which he had been left via his mother after her death, we were however stopping at a caravan park just down the road from the concle inn. we finished work each day and went into the inn every night for a few pints and sometimes some food, the owners who run the pub made me very welcome and there bitter was to die for I will be returning to this great pub on the 16th of September with my son and brother as we are having a weekend away on our motorbikes and staying with jacks kind permission at his caravan just around the corner, on the many occasions we were in the pub I made friends with quite a few locals (Bryan) being one of them and look forward to seeing them all again

Went here after a recommendation from a local taxi driver. What a great choice. Friendly and good service. Excellent Beer and wine.

Mi esposa y yo llamamos en aquí la semana pasada en nuestros viajes y disfrutamos tanto de la cerveza y comida que tuvimos. Sus precios son increíblemente baratos, mi cerveza £2.15!!!. Mi esposa tenía un sándwich caliente que ella realmente disfrutó. La ubicación es muy práctica si visitar las islas de o Rampside Foulney y Roa. Tienen mesas y sillas fuera, así que puedes disfrutar del aire de mar, si lo desea. Sin duda recomendaría este pub si estás visitando la zona.

Dropped in here hoping for a lunch. Nobody behind the bar, eventually one of the very few people present identified himself as the barman. We asked if they were serving food and were told in a very surly manner 'Don't do food on Tues lunch, never have', perhaps we were supposed to know. Anyway, the dingy environment was such that we would't have stayed anyway, one to avoid.

beautiful location with great views from the front. However the interior is quite dark and needs a bit of care and attention. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The selection of food was limited but reasonably priced. All the meals were hot and tasty but nothing exciting. Meat a bit overcooked as were the vegetables but a lot of people like it that way! Not really what I was expecting but obviously well frequented by the locals

I visit quite regularly as the pub has a great atmosphere. The drink prices are very reasonable. In addition the food is great and well priced. The owners are excellent cooks. The jewel in the Concle's crown is the traditional Sunday roast. Absolutely lovely with the choice of two meats. You can have both if you wish. Always lean too. Everything is cooked properly including the vegatables. It's a big meal too. You have to book the Sunday roast prior though. Current price £6.75, it literally is not worth cooking at home. The pub also has a big screen TV for sport watchers and a pool table. The pub has a regular following and in summer sitting outside is perfect. The owners and staff are friendly. I definitely recommend the place.

Called in here on a quiet Monday lunchtime, got a warm welcome from the owners.I had the burger (having read the good comments about them) and it didn't disappoint, well cooked with delicious chips. My other half had the lamb hotpot and there were no complaints there.All in all, very good value for money, would recommend.

Been here a few times but never had food before. Tried it after a walk down 'the old line' 2 adult meals and 1 childs meal an unbeatable £13.50. Home made proper chips. Best burger I have ever had. The mrs said the veg lasagne was excellent. Children's meals portions were excellent. Friendly staff. Cheap beer prices £2.70 a pint of Becks (ship at roose take note) highly recommend. We will be back

This friendly little place serves great beer and terrific 'pub grub'. Don't go here expecting 'bells and whistles', for this is a very traditional pub holding it's own in an often all too fast paced world! Visit here for a quality pint and a well affordable tasty meal, cooked in real time.We had Cheeseburgers and chips which arrived well dressed,complete with dipper pot of relish,generous portions and very well received! What more can I say?Cheers 'til the next time!
