Great takeaway from Nicha's. Vegetarian options were awesome. Red curry was amazing! Food was ready on time and still piping hot when we got it home to Ulverston. Especially recommend the noodle soup which is great for if you need something warming and tasty - proper comfort food. I usually order via Facebook messenger and the food is always on time.

If you are looking for a Thai restaurant with great food then look no further down to the starters to the main course this food was absolute heaven The staff were friendly and welcoming and made sure that we were always satisfied. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of the food it was actually the best Thai meal ever

First time we have sat in. Great food and the service was VERY good. Cannot fault it and highly recommended.

We were a party of nine, all had a starter and main course and everyone agreed they had throughly enjoyed the food (the range of choices, the flavours), the very friendly service and the whole experience. We loved the fact that we could take our own wine/beer with us. Only slight issue was the waiter kept forgetting to bring us glasses to drink from, but he was very friendly and we couldn’t really complain at such a slight thing and, anyhow, it caused amusement. The staff were otherwise really good, hospitable, not intrusive yet very attentive. Excellent value for money. I am sure we will return.

The first time we have visited Nichas and it most certainly will not be the last. The food is absolutely delicious. We had Vegetarian/Vegan options but all of the Main Meals are the same flavours whether it be meat or non mean choices. We had the Vegetable Spring Rolls and Vegetable Tempura for starters. Vegetable Pad Thai and Kai Pad Med Mamuano as our Main Meals.. The flavours are to die for! The portion sizes are exceptionally large too. We ended up taking some boxes home. Nichas do not serve Alcohol but they are happy for you to take your own along. They charge a £2.50 corking fee for alcohol you bring. Whether you be local or visiting the area or even staying in the Lake District, I highly recommend booking a table at Nichas. You will not be disappointed. Nichas is an absolute gem

So i had a meal here friday evening. The service was prompt and very attentive, and the main meal was exquisite. This is the first review ive ever written but felt i needed to such was the experience. Can't wait to return.

Our second visit here. Good food and good service. Friendly atmosphere. Just two points to note: 1- payment is by cash only 2 - they do not have a licence to sell alcohol. However, you can bring your own and they will supply suitable glasses. A reasonable corkage charge is applied.

This is a quaint and well run restaurant. The food was SUPERB! W had Tempura Prawn starter which was light and tasty and fresh, and the Pad Thai and Pad King were both excellent and substantial. Service was great and local (LARGE) Co-op, just 3-4 mins walk down town, had a wide range of wine, beer and spirits.

One of the best Thai foods I have eaten! Super friendly staffs and delicious foods. I ordered a soup noodle with beef and the meat was so fresh and tender, the broth is delicious. I will definitely come back if I visit the area. ** Pls bring your cash, they don’t take card.

Fantastic food from lovely staff.

Highly recommend Nicha’s. Lost a few good Thai restaurants lately locally so thought I’d give Nicha’s a try for takeout and was not disappointed. Ordered the Thai fish cakes, 2 x sticky rice, 1 x Thai red chicken and 1 x Pad Ka Pow. Perfect spice level, full of flavour and all piping hot. Amazing food. Can’t wait to order again.

Not as good, as I had hoped based on other reviews. While I don't like vegetables over cooked, some of those served to us were just simply uncooked. Flavours were good and nice atmosphere. While not a criticism, be prepared to wait for your meal.

We were refused service on a Saturday night. Came at 8:15pm and they shut at 10pm. Drove far to try food in this place. Girl server said theyhave reservations coming which was understandable. We then wanted to have food takeaway but refused as well. Disappointed.

Would recommend booking in advance and not turning up. As couldn’t get in straight away much to our suprise as it didn’t look too busy. Anyway we made our booking for 45 minutes later and popped for a local drink up the road. Which was no problem. We returned and our table awaited. And would soon find they probably don’t overbook tables as they like to maintain high standards of food service. Once the starters came out - We was in food heaven. We could tell it was all very fresh and cooked from scratch. Mains even better. Food was incredible! Tender meats fresh fish all freshly cooked. Flavours amazing. Couldn’t fault the food. Left very satisfiedand wanting to return! Wishing we didn’t live 2 Hours away !! Will definitely return when next in the area :)

Had a fantastic feed at Nichas Thai at the weekend, not had much Thai food, but it was really tasty, highly recommend a vist, only down side, was the portion of veg as a side was £6! Totaly not worth that, its the tiny bowl in the centre left of the pic, And it wasn't cooked enough in my opinion, to crunchy, Apart from that, spot on, and only £2 per person cork fee. 👍

We visited here on Saturday with friends. We booked in advance is it gets quite busy. Because everything is cooed from scratch and everything is fresh not frozen hence the wait but it is worth it. We ordered a variety of meals all choosing starters. The starters arrived in good time, the prawn were large and cooked in a lovey light crispy batter with a side dip of sweetchilli. Our main meals arrived a while later but it gave us some time to consume some of our own drink we brought and catch up with our friends. The restaurant doesn't have a bar only serves soft drinks so they work on bring your own and they charge a small fee per person for corkage. The meals were absolutely delishous you can choose your heat level as I am not a lover of heat my meal was just right. The food was fresh, hot and very plentiful. They clearly have a good chef who certainly knows how to cook Thai food. The staff were very accommodating and didn't make us feel rushed. The restaurant is well spaced out so you Don't feel crammed in and is nicely decorated to the Thia theme. We will most certainly be back, we all agree we had a wonderful meal.

The best take away I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely stunning food. So fresh and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our spring rolls and satay skewers. Followed by Thai red curry and sweet and sour (can’t recall name). I wish I lived closer! Glad I found this little gem during our time away for our 10th wedding anniversary. Thank you so much. ❤️

Initially our booking was for a party of 20 & unfortunately due to illness we had to cancel 5 . Nicha was extremely understanding and communication was excellent. The meal as always was amazing so fresh & enjoyed by all . A credit to the town & the staff were attentive & pleasant.

The first time here and it certainly won't be the last. Superb tasty food cooked with lovely fresh vegetables. Four different meals all ten out of ten. The service was top rate with the girls being very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The restaurant does not serve alcohol only soft drinks so you can take your own and there is just a £2 corkage charge per person. That I much prefere as you can take your preferred wine for less than the normally inflated wine prices. The restaurant was simply laid out with ample space between tables and it had a nice atmosphere.

Fast, friendly service, varied menu and fabulous food.

We had a fantastic meal at Nichas. We’ve only ever had take aways, so decided to come in for a sit down meal and we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious as always, and service was great too. To start we had goong choop pang tod (tempura prawn) and moo ping (pork skewers). Then for mains we shared beef pad prew wan, prawn green curry, prawn crackers and rice noodles with beansprouts. Everything was so delicious, could not fault it. We will be returning as soon as it reopens after their holiday! Definitely the best Thai food in the area.

I would recommend Nichas to anyone. Everyone I have ever taken has raved about it. I've had multiple dishes and they're all excellent. Staff are lovely too.

We were recommended this place whilst staying locally and thank goodness we booked a meal here. Lovely welcome and it was bring a bottle with a corkage charge. The food was exceptional as was the service.

Keep forgetting to tell you all, how bloody yummy yummy the food is from here. I had a very good meal here. I had the yellow curry with sticky rice and veg on the side. All very tasty and good portions too. Waitress very friendly and welcoming. It’s a BYO so bear in mind if you want an alcoholic drink; there is an off license just up the road (branded as Premier).

I can only add to the other reviews to say that this restaurant met all of our expectations. The food was all of the highest standards and the service provided very professionally and pleasantly. If you are in the area and like Thai food then you must visit. I wish it was near us as we would be there all the time.

Absolutely delicious! So flavourful and one of the best curries I’ve ever had. You need to bring your own alcohol if we wish to have some - £2 fee per person. The menu is quite ample, with different options of chicken, pork, beef and both tofu or vegetables to choose from as vegetarian options. Quick and friendly service. Setting the bill is also easy as you just walk to the cash point whenever you’re ready to leave. One to repeat!

Another AMAZING meal tonight, Nicha and her staff even made it a lovely birthday do for me! We were greeted warmly, shown to our table with a birthday card for me and then given a bottle of prosecco! Loyalty rewards eh! We went with the Satay Skewers for starters - juiciest chicken ever and Nicha’s satay is soooo tasty! We then had the Thom Yum soup with Chicken and rice - loads of flavour and just a good whack of heat to set it off. Really is the best Thai we've had and we just keep going back. A blend of what feels authentic and western Thai. Every dish is great but never not ordered the Massaman curry (slow cooked beef obs). Its not hot but really well balanced and full of flavor. The chef has a real skill.

We booked a table for four of us here on Saturday night and it was brilliant. We all thought our meals were faultless, the staff were really friendly and helpful. And the owner even gave us a tour at the end of it and told us all about the history of the building which was very interesting, we have lived in the town 32 years and we all learnt something from it! Cracking restaurant for dalton!

Drawing on a recent recommendation, we tried Nicha’s at very short notice on a mid-week evening and what a fine experience! Courteous, knowledgeable and quick service led to a very delicious meal at a ridiculously low price. Altogether, most enjoyable and very highly recommended; we will return! Only small surprise was the lack of alcohol, not a problem for us, but could be for some!

The food here is absolutely FANTASTIC.

We visited here last weekend with two other couples - the table was pre booked and was the one we had requested. The waitress was quick to ask us which glasses we needed for our drinks and brought them seconds later. Bonus that you can bring your own drink too which makes it a cheaper night! The food was gorgeous and served quickly. Very accommodating of one of us with a nut allergy they cooked their meal separately to the others. The restaurant is lovely with a great atmosphere. I had the Thai red curry which was a winner! Husband had the Chicken in black pepper sauce which he raved about (he doesn’t usually eat Thai!) We plan to get a takeaway from there sometime soon.

The most amazing Thai food! Thai is my favourite type of food and Nichas is definitely one of the best around here! The food is very tasty, fresh and authentic. My favourite is the Penang extra spicy I get one pretty much every week either sat in the restaurant or a takeaway and both are just as amazing! Bonus that you can also take your own alcohol when sat in which makes it perfect for a date night or a big group party! The service is always very good and all the staff are so friendly nothing is ever too much trouble for them :) Highly recommend!
