Kaspa's Desserts in St. Helens

The staff in here are always very polite . A young boy served us and was unbelievably kind and handled our order with care wishing us a lovely evening and the food was spot on I’d 100% recommend coming here x

I took my two boys here (9 and 2) as a treat. We’ve been a few times but never with the youngest. I thoroughly expected my two year old to demolish the scoops of icecream immediately; he was more interested in sitting in the window and playing with his cars and counting the buses. I had ordered him two desserts (thinking I would eat what he didn’t want). Rob who was working quickly identified he wasn’t eating anything and made one of his Icecreams into a milkshake, genius! Rob couldn’t do enough for us and was very patient and positive; happy vibes! My eldest loved his dessert and it was a relaxing treat. He even commented that “the man” was very nice with Alex (the youngest). We will be back soon with my step daughter, my eldest FaceTimed her last night to tell her all about it. Thank you Rob and team!

We went for lunch, arrived just after they opened so the place was quite quiet. However despite the fact that it had only just opened for the day the floors and seats were filthy and the staff were very rude. The staff did not seem to understand how going out is an experience and that by being rude once ruins the whole event. The plates, cups and cutlery was all dirty as was the toilets. Very unimpressed. Will not be returning.

Occasionally when i’m feeling a desert me and my boyfriend go here hoping it’ll be better than last time because there’s never that many other options for deserts open at night. But of coarse it never gets any better. Tonight i ordered the strawberry indulge crepe to takeout, the sauce was chocolate sauce for ice creams dripping all out the box, not really the kind of sauce you would expect. The crepe was soggy from the sauce but most of the sauce was just swimming around in the box. And most of it on my lap :). I get that sometimes you run out of things like the proper sauce, but instead of getting me to pay the £8 for something you can’t actually give me, tell me you can’t make it so i can get something else instead. Knowing how little toppings you get, i ask for extra toppings so that the crepe is actually what you would expect from a place specialising in deserts. The added price for extra toppings changes each time, sometimes it’s an extra £2 after already paying over £6 for one. Not to mention the size of the crepe is a joke. And to top it off the customer service just isn’t as it should be.

Visited yesterday, seemed be new menus, 4 us ordered crepes, staff were friendly and polite. Took bout 30 mins for order to come. Crepes were cooked fresh and my son enjoyed his free birthday milkshake.

It started badly when we were met at the door with "We don't have any waffles at all or any menus, they've all been destroyed by customers so you'll have to look on your phone." When we did order it turned out that they didn't have my granddaughter's drink choice either. Even though the place was 3/4 empty our food, only ice cream and crepes, took for ever to arrive. First came my wife's tea, with teabag in 3/4 filled mug, but without a spoon, cord or stirrer to remove it. Also it came with the message that "we've run out of white sugar" You need a code to get into the toilets, but you only find that out when you get there. Inside they were dirty, the cubicle I used had a toilet bowl half blocked by paper, no soap in the dispenser or elsewher and a hand dryer that only blew out cold air. Altogether a totally unsatisfactory experience, we'll not be back in a hurry

Won't be going back unfortunately. Took the family yesterday evening and waited just shy of 45 minutes for 3 waffles and 2 crepes. Certainly not the cheapest place to go but ok for an occasional family treat.....however....... Service was very very slow, I've never waited that long before. There seemed to be plenty of delivery drivers getting their orders out of the door in quick time which was frustrating to see for the few families that were seated and waiting. When the order arrived the staff members said "it's because we've been busy with delivery orders". Not good enough I'm afraid. 1) Be honest with your seated customers at the point of ordering - tell them there could be a delay. 2) Communication. Come over and tell us there is a delay and apologise, keep us informed. It costs nothing and it's good customer service. Definitely won't be back because of this. Sorry guys.

We visited kaspas as we were in St Helens so we decided to treat our daughter and her friend. We ordered a blue bubblegum drink with blueberry popping balls at the bottom for my daughter. A peanut butter cup Ice cream which turned out to be a milkshake for her friend but she said it didn’t matter, I think she was being polite and a banoffee cookie dough for me and my husband to share. By time we got home the cookie dough had been placed on something similar to when you buy a bag of chips so because of the sauce we couldn’t get it off the paper and the portion size was tiny given how expensive it was! It was also supposed to be candied bananas but it was just banana slices. I have ordered from previous dessert places and received larger portions for less money and it comes in a tinfoil tray so is easier to remove to eat! Considering the place looked like it only had a few customers in we waited ages for our order to the point if we hadn’t have already paid we would have walked out!

When in today with my two cousins, we ordered a waffle with strawberry’s, Nutella and ice cream. It took quite some time before we got are food and when we did there was next to no topping, we didn’t want to complain so I went to the counter to buy some Nutella and strawberries separate when doing so the lady told me yes that’s fine before a blonde lad came and told us quiet rudely “no we don’t do that” he has no customer service skills and should not be working with the public when he doesn’t no how communicate properly

The attitude and service received at the hands of one of your managers 8/09/22 at 20.00 his name is "rob" he got my order wrong I asked for a mango mania sundaee and he gave me a mango smoothie I went over to explain the mistake and he said there was no mistake that's a mango mania, he the admitted his mistake after a small argument, he the tried to charge me for both items I explained that in good service he should probably just exchange the item he did not like this and become very rude saying if your refusing to pay you can leave I said iam not refusing I just think I've waited all ready for my order now I will have to wait again and be charged for the inconvenience, he said I will be 2 mins go and sit down and put a timer on very rudely, I could not believe the way I was being spoken to it was absolutely disgusting I've never had such an experience in my life

Visited Kaspas on Friday night, the place stunk of vomit. I used the toilet, which was absolutely disgusting like they had never been cleaned. Stunk of urine and poo all down the toilet seat! Ordered a cookie dough to take away, when I got home started to eat it and it was cold in the middle. 10 hours later, I didn’t stop vomiting and it was confirmed I had food poisoning which was definitely from here the state the restaurant was in!

There was very few customers present, yet the 4-5 members of staff couldn't clean the tables, or couldn't be bothered, service was painfully slow, on arrival we had to cricket the whole place to actually find a table that was clean. Absolute disgrace would avoid. I will not be returning.

Me and my partner ordered a brownie waffle and a brownie sundae from here at 8:30 and we’re told on the app it would be there by 9pm. We checked at 9pm to see where it was up to to see if had been moved to 9:30. Fine with this as an hour is still reasonable but for the food to only turn up at 10:00 so we’d waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for it and for them to only send the waffle and no brownie sundae! So we spent £20 to get a small waffle with half a piece of brownie on with barely any sauce so it’s dry as anything and it’s freezing cold. When my partner asked where the sundae was when it got delivered the response was ‘we’re busy nothing we can do’ and that he won’t receive his food and we won’t have any refund. Avoid this place. Busy or not you don’t forget one of the main items when there’s only two!!

Spare of the moment decision to hopefully enjoy some lovely desserts on the way home. Walked in to find a mostly empty diner with at least 4 to 5 tables uncleared and dirty..... Was shown to a small table in the middle of the diner... made decision to order 1 waffle and 1 crepe and two coffees..... time 3.12pm. 3.35pm..... no coffees, no crepe, no waffle.......... dirty tables still not cleared. 3.40pm...... went to ask where the food & coffees were. Was told that there's a huge party on elsewhere in the facility and that's why there were delays in serving..... (no mention of this when we entered or ordered by the way.). Asked the staff member to bring the coffees at least and the food ASAP. 3.50pm..... coffees arrive... coffee not bad, but 38 mins wait for 2 cappuccino's is a joke.. 4.00pm.....waffle and crepe arrive........ Waffle stone cold and crepe order wrong. Complained and was told once again that there was a large party ongoing elsewhere and that's the reasons for the delay...... There were 4 members of staff in total, none appeared to have specific roles, preparation area behind counter was a mess, far too few waffle and crepe irons for the capacity of the venue and there was no organisation to speak of in the actions of the staff. Asked to speak to manager and was told 'she's somewhere here, but not sure where....' ...... explains a lot. Overall, extremely disappointing first experience. Will definitely not be returning and will happily tell everyone else not to bother either. Reading other reviews, our experience has been common for others too over a long period of time and has clearly never been addressed. This appears to mean that the management or owners really don't care.....

We made a last minute decision to visit Kaspa’s in St Helens. We are a family of three and had never been before. After being shown to our table we placed the order at 7:51pm. The restaurant has around 5 other tables taken and there were plenty more to choose from. My milkshake came to the table at 8.08 and tasted lovely. 30 mins after the order was placed I approached the counter to ask how much longer the rest was going to be. “What do you expect, we are not a fast food outlet.” wasn’t the answer I was expecting. I explained that maybe a rough wait time would have allowed me to decide whether to order or not and all I got was “This is normal for a Sat evening”. Wow. The other 2 items turned up a couple of minutes later with an apology for the wait. It would have been better practice to deliver all 3 items at the same time or maybe even explain that the other 2 were delayed when the first one turned up. Unfortunately the great taste of the food was vastly overridden by the shocking service.

Went yesterday and met such a nice lady behind the counter she was very polite, happy & helpful (maybe the manger?). She seemed the one in charge anyway. Ice cream came very quickly too. Wasn’t very busy.

Visited this for first time weekend before last , great service and family all happy withe crepes. Not bad prices. Only issue big group teenagers being loud but they were asked to leave by the staff eventually.

Service was terrible. Went with partner and two children and waited for 55 minutes for two ice creams and two waffles. Food was nice when it eventually got there but we had to go over after 45 minutes to check where it was up to....

Visited for birthday treat, ordered , waited over 30 mins then two drinks came, ten more minutes another two came, another ten minutes two more, eventually the dessert turned up, just seems really disorganised and no one clearly in charge, toilets were dirty as well which makes me wonder what the kitchen is like, also says 5 star food rating but I’m sure I saw it only has a 1 star which I can believe, I would say this place should be a happy treat type of place but no one appears to be very happy

I’m a regular customer and each time the wait for food has been taking longer and longer and tonight is the last straw. It’s a quiet Sunday night and the place is virtually empty yet we’re sat waiting for over an hour for food. 7 members of staff all trying their best to look busy. Won’t be visiting the St. Helens branch again anytime soon, disappointed

I was disgusted that a member of staff named Megan I believe, didn’t wear a hair net when she served my food and I found a hair in my food. Absolutely disgusting !

Kaspas has been around for a while and the idea of a dessert bar in St Helens is very appealing. This place has problems though.We've been a couple of times now. The first time we ordered crepes that were overcooked (to the point where you had to struggle to cut through them). The second time we ordered ice cream which was overpriced and average.I had a cherry milkshake that was so awful that I took one sip and bailed.The staff are disinterested and mostly on their phones, the crepe area is chaotic and filthy. Everything is too expensive and ultimately disappointing.And they get 1 out of 5 on Scores on the Doors which means they should basically be condemned.You have to admire their commitment to failure though.

Well over priced slow service 30 minutes wait after coffee came the cake and still no milk shake sorry team we will not return. You need to look at service time and re train staff Shame. As when you walk in it’s looks a great place but staff let it down

How can this place be open? The chairs are filthy, there's mould even behind the glass display where the cakes are placed. Not to mention the "hairy" strawberry we were served. Also canned whipped cream for this price? Seriously?

This place is amazing for desserts. Not too expensive either! The cookie dough is amazing. They have a wide variety of ice cream too!

Told there was a ten minute wait for take away which was fine. Sat there for 20 minutes so I asked how long it would be and they hadn't even started to make it and swiped it off the screen. Several others got served before me who ordered after me. No apology and just told it would be 3 minutes. 30 minutes to get one waffle. Shocking!!

Went in with a few friends after work. We got there at 22:45 ordered and our desserts were ready within 5 mins. Brill. When we ordered we weren’t told that we weren’t going to be allowed to sit in and eat which was what we wanted to do. Instead our desserts were left on the side. ‘There you go, you’re taking out’ well this was news to us. When we questioned this the girl (with a very smug look) said ‘well we close at 11 so you’ll have to take it out’. Wow. My friends and I all work in hospitality and know this is not the greatest customer service, especially when we weren’t told at the start we weren’t going to be able to eat in. We took the desserts out and by the time we got back home, it was all stone cold making it inedible. Really disappointing as I’d never been before.

I've always been a lover of Kaspas. I have visited the Liverpool establishment numerous times. The standards at this place have slightly slipped since opening, which really is a shame. I understand that the place is usually full of children but you would expect the tables to be cleaned soon after they've left... This isn't always the case though, even when it's quiet.The past few times I have visited, at least one of our orders has been done wrong. This is usually quickly rectified, however it becomes slightly annoying when it seems to be a regular occurrence.Maybe we will start ordering to take away instead in the future.

Gave us the completely wrong meal. Asked why and they said they ran out but never informed me. Then continued to ignore us and walked off. Got our deserts and waited 30 mins for our drinks. Awful customer service.

The place has a lovely interior, American booth style seating, some really large booths to accommodate parties which is a great idea.

I can't review on the food as I never got it even though it was marked as delivered on JustEat's app, On their website they say they want to give a unforgettable experience and an unrivalled customer service, well I can say it is unforgettable and yes their service is unrivalled as no other take away service would treat the customer so poorly. normally I would ring and talk to someone but for the hole hour I was ring their restaurants no one has answered. I wanted to put no/zero stars but the review system on google won't let me. poor poor poor service disgusting. #NoOneOrderFromThem

The deserts are great, but it’s taken 2 hours to get one milkshake and a waffle. Maybe they cook the waffles on the radiator and the lecky has gone so they can’t use the blender for the milkshake, but 2 hours is ridiculous.

I have avoided this place for almost a year knowing that I wouldn’t be able to resist and I was right, although it took over half an hour for us to decide what we wanted, there’s so much choice and it all sounds amazing. We chose different sundaes and they were all delicious, will definitely come back but not when I’m dieting

Wanted it to be better but the waffle was covered in a very, very sweet white chocolate sauce. Not a lot of Oreo & why soft ice cream. Not a patch on others close by. Service OK, but appeared to be either shy or not wanting to speak.

So we went to kaspas St. Helens the staff are so rude. (Apart from the guy who welcomes you)we were told it was 20 minutes waiting time for just a milkshake 40 minutes for crepes,should be Priverliged to have a que this time of the year ! Not turning customers away ! Il never go back !

The sundaes and shakes were excellent. Real depth of flavour to the deserts we have tried there. Would recomend as a treat for the kids, its reasonably priced and kids will love it.

So it was the big family outing to the panto. 12 of us got round one of the big booths. Cool decor. Good friendly service. Food was great. I had the hazelnut sundae with ferrero rocher in. Wifey went for pancake. Loads of the kids had cookie dough & couldn't finish them ! Nephew had the bubbleicious which looked full of e numbers. He loved it. Two downsides - loos need some attention. And the sundaes look bigger on the menu pics. But the food was fantastic. Really enjoyed our visit thanks.

Massive menu all things sweet and sickly. Which is great. Pancakes were fab. Icecreams looked amazing. Staff were friendly and relatively helpful with regard to food and drink.It was not a cheap treat for family though.

Went to the toilet before leaving.faeces all over toilet bowl, pee on seat.tissue and dust all over floor.sink dusty and dirty.looked like it had never been cleaned.surely they should be checked and cleaned every hour.wont eat here again.waffle was claggy.

We often go to the dessert place in Liverpool as my partner loves his chocolate cake and I enjoy the ice cream or crepes. This was our first visit here and I ordered my favourite the strawberry crepe and my partner had two cakes, chocolate and a cheesecake. Whilst waiting I popped to the toilet which was terrible. The place hasn't been opened that long but ready the loos need a dam good clean. The insides are all brown and the floors and sinks were dirty. For me a place selling food really needs to keep everything clean and the toilets need some care and attention.

Well the management have a very bad attitude and fail to produce products as discribes when asks to resolve the matter I was greet with you don’t want Mutch do you as a customer I believe that this is a very or attitude towards the public This man clearly needs to be retrained in customer service.

Poorly staffed, one poor girl on the floor on her own, overheard her asking for help from her management but no help was available.

Came here for waffles and a milkshake and it was amazing. Although felt sick afterwards coz I’d eaten way too much. It’s really quick to get served and plenty of options to add you’re own toppings if you want.

Long wait for food which I could understand as it was busy but then I noticed people arriving after us had theirs already. Colplainted to a manager who was very arrogant and full of himself to be told “It depends what others ordered!” After complaining our food arrived in 5 minutes! They basically just forgot our order! The desserts are VERY overpriced and didn’t look absolutely anything like they do on the menu. Will never spend another penny in that place again. Loud and unpleasant. It was a treat for my son’s birthday and it just spoiled the afternoon after a good day out.

Treated my cousin to a dessert after her first day at college. The waffles are amazing but definitely enough to share. There was a wait on food but that was understandable because it was so busy. Milkshakes were great too!!

It's nice place for deserts. Been there ice cream and waffle all good test . Recommended to go there and try it . Lovely desserts 🍨

Stepped in looking forward to some deserts after a meal at Nando’s, not what I expected. After waiting 10 minutes to be told we were to seat ourself and expected to take menus from the plastic bucket we sat on a two seater table. We ordered a milkshake and a crepe. More like a crap. After coming to a grand total of £9 for a desert and a drink it was very overpriced. We were told it would be 30 minutes and eventually after asking twice and the milkshake coming ten minutes before the crepe , after 50 minutes my crepe had arrived. At best I’d price the crepe at £3 and definitely not £5.50. Dry,disgraceful and definitely not what I expected. I needed a steak knife to be able to cut this More like papodum than crepe. The shake was served in a plastic cup and was average. Will not be visiting again.

I had coconut haven and my hubby had a milkshake down to personal taste I took the milkshake back as was far to thick and they altered to my hubbies liking. The place is lovely staff very friendly will definitely go back and highly recommend

My friend and I got the strawberry shortcake waffle with an Oreo base, which was delicious! The only issue I had was that we waited roughly half an hour for it to arrive when the place was pretty empty, but the quality of the dessert was worth the trip and the staff seemed friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Waited an hour after ordering, music was far too loud and annoying, the air conditioning was absolutely freezing, making the whole experience miserable! After being blanked at the front desk, another staff member came over, she and the girl who took our order were both and pleasant, however would never want to step foot in there ever again !

The waffle was slightly raw and had a little amount of nuttella was and there was a hair in my milkshake and staff was unhelpful and rude. There were hooligan chldren making annoying noises and snatching our weaves and throwing plates. Shooketh! The music was loud and obnoxious. People had their feets on the seats but the staff were oblivious. I would say that there was no health standerds but theres no standerds at all! A member of staff ripped up my friends recipt in anger after she made a mistake with her order, and threw it at her. There was lipstick marks on my friends icecream pot and the cutlery was dirty. Im pretty sure there was a cult of children behind us and the chairs weere mobile so they were throwing them and having races. The strawberries were pathetic and looked like spam. The sprinkles were poor and looked like dandruff. My friends waffle was a bit green. There were large amounts of chocolate smeared across the seats and tjey gave us rashes and made me want to take up therapy again. Appauling. Disgusting. Disgraceful. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend.

2nd time here & the crepes & desserts are lovely. My son & his friends love it & think the milkshakes are great. Restaurant itself it decorated really nice in striking black & pink. Has the feel of a proper American milkshake bar, lovely staff and nice vibe & would make an ideal venue for children’s party. In fact would be great for any age party About 15 minutes from home so will definitely be a regular visitor!

There is no way this place deserves less than a 5* rating. The desserts were unbelievable! From waffles, to sundaes, you will be spoilt for choice. It's reasonably priced too!

I was treated to a Waffle with Nutella drizzled over it with M&M;’s and a cup of whippyice cream which was lovurly and warm...

Bit of a waste of time really. Came to visit, no apple pie, none of the cheesecake I wanted, ended up leaving. Staff weren’t apologetic.

Have to say I was not paying, we where invited. Ludicrously expensive and noisy. Could also do with more regular cleaning. Not recommended..

My partner and I visited the restaurant for this first time today and we were deeply disappointed.

Me and my partner have been here a number of times and the food is always good!

Our desserts were ok but mine was on the menu as a hot dessert and came cold out of a fridge. Even the custard was cold till the waitress tool it away to warm up. My partner enjoyed here crepe. I would say value is only so so as mine would have been decent value had it been warm but the crepe was a couple of pound more expensive than mine and the cost of cooking a crepe with some Nutella and small sprinkling of white chocolate flakes is very low so I'm not sure why that should cost more.

Visited here for the first time with my Son ... was greeted by a friendly waitress, & showed to our table, the service was prompt. We enjoyed it. My Son enjoyed his warm cookie dough, would recommend it if you like desserts ... lots to choose from!

Visited on 16th February with daughter & granddaughter. It was very busy when we arrived - you are shown to table & given menus & then go to order choices & give in table number. Daughter ordered the banoffee waffle with vanilla ice cream & cream & I ordered a Bubblelicious Sundae to share with granddaughter (granddaughter & I had been before so I was aware of the size of the portions) + x2 Diet Coke. Bill was £15.85. Daughter said her waffle was ok but had had better. Granddaughter enjoyed her sundae & I enjoyed the strawberry & vanilla aspect of it. We didn’t finish it though.

WOEFUL more training is required in this restaurant it not hard to serve two desserts at the same time is it????? I was finishing mine off as my partners waffle was just arriving its pretty bad

Visited as a half term treat. Menu was very full, lots of choice. When ordering it was difficult to hear the assistant and consequently a mistake was made with the order. Tabkes need to be cleared away faster when people leave. Front of house gentleman wasn't very cheery. Seemed very disorganised behind the counter. Could easily turn sour due to large number of kids eating with friends. Not sure if I felt out of place because of the kids vibe set up. Sure I'm not the only one that must have felt like that

Oh my goodness This place was recommended by a friend, the choice is amazing we were spoilt for choice from waffles,ice cream sundaes, crepes, cake and variety of drinks..... we would definitely recommend this place we had strawberry shortbread crumble waffle, raspberry crepe and strawberry butterscotch waffle.... yum yum

We went as a family to Kaspa’s on a Saturday evening, it was fairly quiet when we arrived where shown to our table and choose some mega waffles to enjoy.

We went here on Sunday afternoon about 3pm. It was fairly busy but we were greeted as soon as we walked in and shown to a clean table, given menus and advised to order at the counter. We ordered 3 milkshakes, a coffee and a tap water together with two waffles, a crepe and a hot cookie dough.

Firstly I asked how much milkshakes are guy said large £4.50 I said ill have one of them, ok told him flavours, came topay, £4.80, its one of them wer u think "have I missed something/ missheard", anyway I realised id been charged 30p for cream when at no point was cream asked for, no one even mentioned cream, over charging for extras that arent wantd is just bad business, this was tonite around 5.50pm.msgd on fb n they replied id asked for it complete lie

My first visit to Kaspa's and we had to ask twice to have our table wiped and then the waitress used a dirty cloth. My daughter commented and the girl agreed it was filthy but continued wiping other tables with it. When our ice creams came they didn't have spoons, wafers or serviettes with them and were miniscule sized portions for £1.95! The server did clean the table with a clean cloth, at our request. We waited for 30 minutes for the waffle then cancelled it after informing the manager of my concerns. He refunded the cost of the waffle and was very polite .Let's hope things improve before my next visit.

Went her for dessert on a Saturday evening. The waiting time was not very long but its important to be aware which customers came in first. Which was not the case here.

First visit we waited over an hour for food that came out in three stages, second visit waited 45 minutes for two waffles and a coffee. Was quite dirty, and was forced to sit through videos of terrorist sympathising socialist Jeremy Corbyn visiting Kaspa's while we ate, which put us off our food.

Took my daughter as a treat portions large enjoyed our deserts my daughter found hers to be too large could do with option if smaller portions. Sundae i ordered they didnt have all ingredents but was still enjoyable. Let down by fact that lots of unsupervised children in restraunt most off whom were ok but some behaviour was unacceptable and let the place down

Deserts were all delicious! Customer service let them down a little but no complaints about the food. Heaps of options too on the menu. Wednesday is two for one waffles so it was quite busy
