the quality of food is really quite poor for the price of it. got a sausage and egg muffin which was rock hard and lacked flavour. will be sticking to greggs from now on

I’ve been to many retail outlets of many types and customer service I’d always shocking, but every time I go here with my son the staff are always amazingly polite and lovely. Always greeted with a smile and the customer service is A+ Food is always hot and drinks for kids are cheap which is great (thumbs up)

Came in on 02/12/22 at 4:15 to collect a too good to go bag. Member of staff with black hair, looked like an old miserable hag, was so rude and unhelpful, spoke to us like absolute rubbish and told us we were wrong just because we’d come to the wrong one rather than the one round the corner. Will not be returning and as for the lovely member of staff I am talking about I can tell you live a sad miserable life xxxx

How can you call yourself pound bakery when the rolls and various other items are creeping up towards two pounds, quite tight with the filling too

No me puedo quejar, es barato abundante comida, el personal es amable, qué más puedes pedir? Excelente si tienes un presupuesto ajustado o intentando ahorrar unas libras

I invariably pop in as the meat and potato pies are just a good as Pimmies were. The pasties are pretty much on a par with Greggs and there is a selection of cakes, wraps and sandwiches too. They don't have the same range as other outlets and perhaps, if truth be told, fewer healthy options, but it is good value.

It delivers exactly as it promises ...... food for a pound and if they can do it how come other bakeries and coffee shops charge a fortune. In fact you can get two dishes for a pound (e.g. 2 pasties, pies or similar) so that's a quick lunch for 50p. Unbeatable value! and its tasty.

It only costs a pound ? How do they do it? shows how other high street branded bakeries have been ripping the public off for years. Excellent for a quick cheap lunch while on the move.

I like the pound bakery because the pies, pasties etc are good value -two for a pound. Cream cakes, like vanilla slices and chocolate eclairs, two in the pack for one pound. We call when we are around town shopping, the pies are hot, so no cooking after a busy shop.

If you're in need of a cheap lunch then the pound bakery will suit your needs. Just like a typical Greggs but cheaper, good pies and cakes for good prices. Would recommend

Brilliant two pasties for a £1 or pies, great shop if you are in a rush and need some sustenance on the move, cant see how they do it for the cost. Staff are always pleasant as I have found in other shops.

Good value food - you know the price before you go in. They very kindly made me a tuna mayo baguette minus the cucumber (which I hate).

Visited St. Helens store, girl serving wiped her snotty nose on the back of her hand and continued to serve! Utterly disgusting. Complaining to health authority! Beware!!!!

Normally good service in here, but not today for some reason. Bought quite a bit of food for the whole family then was asked if I wanted a carrier bag. When I said yes I was passed a paper bag. Difficult trying to open it and then putting all the items in it took a while in the small space to do it, all the time the queue was building behind me so no one could be served but the member of staff still didn't assist. Maybe just an off day, but not good

It's a nice local pub, it's a shame they don't do food any more. Very quiet, definitely only really a regulars pub now. It's such a shame to see a pub on such a main route so quiet now. The woman that works behind the bar is lovely and chatty and smiley. We only live down the road, and have recently started coming here, mainly on a Sunday afternoon, itsbquiet enough that our little one can have a wander around without getting in people's way. It would be nice to see it have a new lease of life, serving food again, new lick of paint. Would still recommend though if you want somewhere quiet to have a little drink and chat. Only problem we have ran into is they don't have gin glasses 😂 but I'm not picky and will have my gin in a normal glass.
