I have had a iced coffee from here today and it took 20 mintues I was disgusted by the service

Staff members add things in to the bill without telling you they are chargeable. Rude and poor service no atmosphere and poor quality.

Staff fairly rude and uninterested, and as I am writing this I am on the back of a bout of food poisoning from the Cajun panini, which I can only assume had mayo in it, which is not to be heated. Disgusting.

Best muffins that I have ever tasted. The only good thing left in St.Helens is this cafe. Hope it lasts.

The cafe in the hardshaw centre is ok and sometimes busy, but one of the older staff members with black hair is almost always rude abrupt, I'm not sure if she's in charge but I've heard her snapping at the other staff members too even when we've been walking past. A few of my friends have also noticed 🤔 Such a shame really, rather off putting!

It's a nice cafe and the food is good. The staff in Tontine are extremely slow. No heating on either. People sat eating with hats and coats on. I realise this isn't their fault, but they can almost certainly as business owners, get this retarded council to sort the heating out. Also, the loyalty cards have changed. You used to get 2 free coffees after every 10 purchased, now its one free coffee. Printing money at Zhinos, which is great, but look after your loyal customers a bit more.

Staff need training in customer service, terrible attitude. Would not come here again, I can get attitude without paying for it

Horrible staff calling a 14 year old girl fat. Shouting swearing at kids. Telling kids to come to her threatening them. Telling kids she’ll get her kid to come down. Think they should get a job at Karen’s diner instead. Would not recommend.

Outdoor seating, nice place to get a hot drink.. Have a chat or relax a bit after shopping.

We have visited Zinho twice for coffe:tea, toastie and muffin. I have to say that the Rasberry an Apple muffin is indeed the best I’ve had. It was warm, just out of the oven... Bought two to take away. PG Tips tea too. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Nice cafe, pity it's in an absolute dump of an ugly run down 1970's eyesore market that the Labour party Tory Lap Dogs of St.helens council are propping up instead of keeping the newer Hardshaw Centre open

My wife and I spend a lot of time in cafes around the Wigan and St Helens areas and can say without a doubt this is the best all-round. Great value for money, fresh muffins that really are perfect. We fed ourselves and our 2 young children for 20 pounds with panini's/egg and bacon barms and muffins each, best we've had in all categories. Highly recommend to anyone.

I like going to cafe zinho for the coffee and muffins but a couple of the older staff could do with cracking a smile now and then, you feel like your putting them out when ordering at the la Grange center cafe 😒

Good for a tea when your busy shopping

Hardshell centre restaurant is vile! So I'm 31 weeks pregnant. My nan was queing with my mum. I sat down as didn't know it was numbers to tables. The lady watched me sit down then rudely shouting infront of everyone you can't sit down. I said my nans in the que, she repeated herself AGGRESSIVELY! The place had 4 couples present hole back room empty. I was struggling due to high risk ivf pregnancy no help given, paying customer! Even have the recipt of purchase. You can see I'm pregnant no sympathy or communication given. MY OWN NAN DOESNT SPEAK TO ME AGGRESSIVELY LIKE THAT NEVER MINE MY HUSBAND

Good café we visit it virtually every week. Good friendly staff providing an excellent service.

Nice coffee ☕☕ staff are amazing and polite

We’re always there every Saturday lunchtime and we absolutely love the staff, the food, drinks etc. The only thing that I would say let’s them down is their scrambled eggs! I ordered scrambled eggs on toast for my 10 month old son but they were a little overdone and he struggled with it a bit. But that’s it. Everything else is second to none. It’s why we return every single week! Excellent staff and excellent service. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any of them in a bad mood!

Yesterday was my first and I hope not the last one I go to this cafe , everything was perfect 🤩 we order a deal (coffee and muffin) and everything were delicious! The muffins was fresh and the coffee was also nice I ordered a cappuccino and I got a latte but I can’t complain because the coffee was really nice. Staff were so friendly and nice 😊 , tables were clean and tidy. It’s a good place to go and enjoy with friends and talk without interruptions ;) 100% John’s recommendations

Not very helpful asked for a specific seat was told not cleared although nobody sat there seems they sit customers where they want you to sit not other way round did not feel very safe as table was first in entrance and last on leaving so 2 metres distance went out of the window as all other customers coming and going immediately passing our table would not recommend

I went in town today. 4th July openings? Forget it. Zinhos not even open. Only got the Hardshaw centre car park open. This town is driving people away. Permit holders only & not a car in sight. Businesses will go under soon & this council are the ones driving it.

After a miserable cold and rainy trip into town we were soon warmed by our visit to Zinhos. We arrived near closing time and whilst other sales assistants would try to put us off do they can close up quickly, Emma was the total opposite. She was so friendly and positive we felt welcome to enjoy out hot drinks and muffins. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you very much Emma, you made our afternoon!

Cafe Zhino in the Hardshaw Centre is the best place to get your morning coffee. The staff here greet you with a smile and are never too busy to make you feel welcome. They are the friendliest bunch of ladies you'll ever meet. In particular, Mary. She brightens my morning with her bubbly personality and lovely smiling face. The food is always fresh and the coffee lovely and hot. It's a testament to the staff here that the same customers return week after week, myself included. Keep it up girls!!! Cafe Zhino in The Hardshaw Centre is the best coffee shop around.

Reasonable prices, good cup of coffee and hot chocolate and nice hot sausage bap. Lots of seating and parasols for when the suns out! Only downside is that there’s only 2 highchairs available for the kids and the plates for the food could have done with a better clean.

We used to come here every week. We found the staff very nice & friendly. The toasties used to be the best I've tasted but lately, every time we go, I ask for a lightly done toastie & it always comes cremated. This means the bread is dry & hard in places. It happens in both of the cafes & I'm sick of it now. You ask for something to be done & they do their own thing anyway. How hard can it be to get it right? Won't be returning. It's gone downhill & I have thought that for a long time.

Service very slow. When actually got to till, asked for 2 sandwich meal deals at £4 each.(sandwich and coffee). Asked for one with tea and was told they only come with coffee! Sorted that. Was Asked for £10.10! Sorted that and then she got the choice of sandwich filling wrong and was quite rude. When it eventually came the lettuce in the salad was limp and brown round the edges. Obviously not fresh. Milk jug for drinks empty. The younger girl on drinks seemed to be the only one who knew what she was doing.

I love the coffee and muffins there but the staff are absolutely morbid, they need more customer service training. If you work with customers then be sure to be polite, if they bring the coffee or food over to you, they don’t smile or say anything when they pass it over to you, makes you seem like they carried it over for miles. Disappointed.

The staff of both Cafézinhos are unfriendly and rude - always miserable it makes my visit unpleasant! I avoid going there but my little girl loves the muffins so we tolerate the very poor customer service for the sake of the sweet treats. There’s never a smile from the staff even when I smile at them! Very mediocre social skills 😕!!!

We are never disappointed with the fresh sandwiches served here and the cakes too. The drinks are always lovely and hot and the staff friendly and helpful.

Love their milkshakes but it's a pity one or two members of staff seem like they don't want to be there - a smile and a "thank you" would be nice, it honestly feels like having to serve customers is an inconvenience to them. :(

Purchased 3 reduced items from the store as did my sister in law, the server was grumpy from the start. whilst she went into one below I sat down with the 2 kids in prams, I faced the opposite side of the table, the kids facing me. Over came an old woman worker, asking could she mop the floor, no problem I said. She the put the chairs were I was sat up on the table, no others. I was on the fone and told my partner wat happened. The young girl mopped said wat did u say. I said that is absolutely disgusting how you have just alienated me. She said she was mopping the floor. I said that's fine but taking the chairs so I can't sit back down.?she said your not a customer anyway. I said well what are these then? She said 'why are u arguing with a 19 year old' I said I'm not arguing I'm telling you wat u did is disgusting' then she said I'm guna punch him in a minute'. The security guard said he understands my position but better keeping away from them. Her old colleague asked did I feel threatened bY an 18 year old saying that'? Terrible missrable staff. My daughter has lots of allergys so i bought her a salad from m&s and she sat with me while i had tea and cake and one of the staff walked over to her and stid rudely you cant eat that in here. As i was at the till paying. They were all staring over at her huffing and shaking there heads. As i sat down i told her to just eat her lunch and i will explain to them. But as they were all talking n looking over shaking there heads still. I decided to just leave a review!! Wheres the christmas spirit.. missrable old ladys working here.

We have been coming here a couple of times per week for over ten years and I was amazed to find I had never reviewed it. Correcting that forthwith:- I cannot recognise the rudeness described by some reviewers. I have never encountered anything other than cheery, good service from Sandra and her staff. Our most popular call is for a breakfast tea cake and cuppa, although sometimes, we keep the staff off balance by having a latte and a sandwich. The food always tastes good, usually freshly made, or certainly within the last hour. The prices are not much dearer now then when we starting coming; more often than not, it is very busy, so Mr Morrison ( the owner) must be getting his pricing and quality control right!

Had coffee here today with my niece and her Mum. The male server went above and beyond and his customer service was simply excellent. I really hope his manager reads this and praises him for his kindness. I didn't get his name unfortunately but he really did restore my faith in mankind. By the way had a lovely cappuccino and a very fresh polka dot muffin.

Firstly the food was lovely and reasonable but I found the lady who served me incredibly rude. As I am not a regular here I ordered a coffee and water, I was given a bottle of water and a coffee self service cup i asked if the coffee was self service and i got a rude response 'well obviously the cup if for your water'. I did speak to a manger about it and she offered me a free coffee and muffin but I won't be returning because of the customer service

Muffins and coffee are fine, seating area always feel quite relaxed. A regular stop off when visiting St Helens if it's after 3pm much easier to find a table than at the Hardshaw Centre, Cafe Zinho.

My Baguette was made fresh and tasty and my Mocha was adorable service was with a smile and friendly manor happy to pass a little time of day with you.

Situado en el centro comercial, es ideal para una escapada de necesario. Nada excepcional sobre comida o bebida. Pero las bebidas tienen precios razonables y la comida es generalmente se muestran bien. El servicio puede ser un poco lento cuando hay mucha gente, pero el personal de mantener las mesas y usualmente hay lugares para sentarse. Vale la pena una visita.

Mi marido y yo vamos allí para tomar café al menos una vez a la semana. La manzana y canela muffins y los almendros son una delicia.

Señora en el mostrador no me sirven hasta que hubiera terminado una conversación (contar chismes) con otro miembro del personal aunque yo estaba parado justo delante de ella en el mostrador esperando a la orden. Ella no era nada amable y muy servicial. Nunca regresaría allí.

I was waiting to be served with someone in front of me and someone behind me the lady on the till served the person in front of me then totally ignored me then served the person behind before serving me I thought it was incredibly rude and shows pour customer service

If you want a quick bite to eat and a nice cup of coffee you cannot wrong with this little cafe. Situated in a good spot in the town centre it just perfect.

Nice little cafe for a morning breew/coffee and they do snacks which are good. They make delicious soup as well.

Every time I come back to St Helens, I always have to come back to Cafezinho for one of their Sticky Toffee Muffins, they are delicious. I only visit the town twice a year and I already cannot wait for the White Hot Chocolate they do at Xmas... dream in a cup.The staff are always really friendly and remember me from when I used to come daily when I used to come in on a regular basis.Highly recommended, even if it's just a rest between shopping. ***** - 5 stars

Been wanting to try this cafe for a while and tried it out finally. The coffee was very good as were the toasties and the prices were average about £4 for both. The open mall setting has a European feel and this appeals to both young and old. So my best advice is at least give it a try if you are passing buy as everyone will have their own favorite type of coffee shop.

My wife and I stopped to have Lunch at Cafe Zinho on St Helens today and while the food was OK I happened to look down at where my Wife was sitting and water was dripping into her handbag and around her feet from a leak in the ceiling, I brought this to the attention of one of the staff who apart from wiping around the affected area and placing a bucket under the dripping water and then pointing out all the other leaks that had been discovered previously seemed unconcerned with the real problems here one of which was the water that had gone into my wife's handbag and the other more disturbing issue was the health & safety aspect and what might have happened had my wife slipped on the wet floor as we were leavingNo real apology or mention of a possible refund for what we had experienced would probably not want to repeat this visit, lots of other food outlets in St Helens to choose fromJohn Gallear 8th January 2015

. My husband and I have visited both branches in St Helens and have always found the food and coffee to be very good. We enjoy the open seating ( reminds us of a continental cafe) . The sandwiches muffins and coffee are delicious and look very appealing. Whilst we haven't tried the toasted sandwiches or jacket potatoes they always look delicious. We will continue to visit and enjoy Cafe Zinho.

I called in today and I will never go again even if it was the last coffee house on earth.Only for being with my elderly mother, that was tired and already sat down, I would have walked away.There was a lady bagging sausage rolls, no hair net,no gloves,scratching her head and rubbing her nose with the palm of her hand, then commencing to bag sausage rolls and an old silver haired woman that was so ignorant, I almost shouted over her. As I was making my order, she interrupted the girl on the till, I then had to repeat my order, then as the girl was getting my tray ready, the old woman butted in again,taking the girls attention from serving me again. Then I was given a spoon that had a big lump of cake stuck on the back of it.Other reviews say, nice, clean, great Customer service, are you sure you was at this one....

This cafe always appears to be bristling with trade, isn't expensive and does a yummy line of muffins and other cakes. You get a nice cuppa for your money, too, but service isn't anything special.

The staff at cafe have brilliant customer service skills and also have a pleasant well mannered attitude. Baring this in mind, food to price ratio is also great value for money! I would recommend the Cafe to any colleagues or friends.

Called in here today with my elderly mum. We ordered jacket spud and were surprised that they were sold out by 11.30am. We said we'd wait whilst the others were baking but we ended up waitin about 40 mins. They were very good though. Gave us a complimentary drink and when the food did come it was excellent. I'd definitely recommend this place.
